  • Organize Contacts by the interest in the product or Business Unit

    Hi all - I'm new to Eloqua and our entire organization is as well and we are struggling with the idea to allow contacts to be available in the world (all divisions) while maintaining some sense of who "owns" that contact record or maybe a better way is to say who is at the origin.

    The question comes up around segmentation for campaigns.  There will be cases when sometimes we want to target people who are identified by a specific business unit and some cases where we want to target across business units.  We have our subscription management settings so that the people can subscription / unsubscribe from an individual business (Email Group) so unit taking care to eliminate people of a campaign they don't want to see, however, it does not help with targeting in the operational units.

    One thought, we got around this was to create a contact field, which has "Business Unit Owner" or something similar that you can use for including / off a contact of a segment, and the other was to create a program that would automatically subscribe to a list based on who uploaded or based on a field in the contact record people.

    Can anyone share some best practices on how they manage the "fences" implementation based on what business unit contacts around could come from the contact?

    Hey Jason,

    This is something many companies have a hard time to get around their hands. One of the more recent releases Eloqua helps security level Contact, available in the filling of the Eloqua team or above. Essentially, what is happening there is that you assign to your contacts that you want to be blocked in some way a specific label (in this case, the business unit), then you create security groups for your users and can restrict access through these security groups. Where A, B, and C people have access to the labels 1 and 2 D and E people have access to the 3 and 4. There are many considerations to think during the assignment and for this reason, the installation has to happen through Professional Services, Eloqua or an authorized partner.

    However, if you do not have the Eloqua team or superior, I would recommend a combination of what you say above. Have an identification field on the contact record that refers to the Business Unit (it looks like this may have a manual process) and then you might have a filter in each segment, which is only pulling in people who respond to every business unit. Thus, segment only withdrawing contacts including Business Unit a Business Unit A. You should then be able to lock each asset at the level of the asset, if you wish.

  • I can organize my address book in folders?

    I finally got a PC with Windows 7. I used XP with Outlook Express for a dozen years and wish I could organize my address book in folders. However, Outlook Express is released with Windows 7. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to put my email addresses in files for ease of use. Is this possible?

    Address books do not use records.

    You can manually create any number of address books in the address book.
    Think of the "address book" as a paper address book.
    For example, you can create a different address books to organize contacts by
    for example:
    A letter, for example: "one - contact".
    OR where the family name is grouped:
    A - M and N - Z
    or separate into different address books:
    for example: keep the contacts of the family in the "personal address book".
    Create an another address book for 'Friends', another for "Business" etc.

    You create a new address book here:

    • Click "address book".
    • File > new > address book

    Mailing lists:
    Any address book may also have one or more "mailing lists".
    The contacts that you want to put in a mailing list must be in the associated address book and have a valid email address.
    Mailing lists are used when you want to send an e-mail to a specific contact group.

  • remove contacts twice in windows xp windows live mail

    I am running windows XP on my pc and I've been running outlook express because I got it, outlook express started having problems, so after trying a lot of bugs, I decided to try windows live mail which is described as a great alternative, but when I look in contacts, everything is duplicated. I have read various fixes on the forums, but the 'manage' button and the "organize contacts" section do not exist on my screen-any help much appreciated

    Right-click on the column heading "Name", "First name", click on click
    on "Last Name."
    Click on the title "Last Name" to sort by who, or click on "First Name"

  • BlackBerry Q10 comes into contact with groups

    I have about 200 contacts in my Q10 (automatically imported Contacts Gmail), but it's really annoying to add these contacts manually to the groups, created in Q10.

    Is it possible to import groups with contacts from Gmail or organize contacts into groups in the computer and then download to Q10?

    Not that I know of.

    As this is a fairly new feature, you might look to come from 3rd party applications to see if they can help.

  • WebOS 2.0 will allow to view contacts by groups?

    Hello!

    One of the things that made my old Treo so useful is the ability to sort and view my contacts by groups.  For anyone in any kind of business, it is almost essential to be able to do.  When I got my pre, I was really disappointed that I could not not only view my contacts by group, but I had to connect to Google on my computer to make any organization contact beyond 'Add' or 'remove '.

    2.0 will allow us to have more flexibility with our contact management?  The PIM data manipulation is done so great Palm for me in the past.  I sincerely hope that if it is not introduced in the new version of the OS, at least the opportunity will be given to the excellent developers making webOS the great tool it is today.

    With Contacts app open, if you just start typing it will start automatically the display to display the corresponding answers either first name or the name of filtering.  More you enter them letters, interpreted restrictively responses.

    Another workaround solution that can help the Organization: use the company field.  It also responds to the same method of research, such as if you have a lot of contacts in the same 'group' you can use the Company's search field for them.  For example, if you have several family members in your contacts list, use 'Family' under the name of the company.  Then when you type family, they all appear in alphabetical order.

    It is not as useful as the old contacts from Palm OS database has been, especially if you already use the Company field for a real company name.  But, it is helpful to many.

    This error basically means that you create duplicate reports.

    When you create a contact org using the API to create contact, a record is created in HZ_ORG_CONTACTS and at the same time, that a record of the relationship is created in HZ_RELATIONSHIPS. This last painting has a start date and end date. Please check if already a contact relationship already exists between the Group and the HZ_RELATIONSHIPS table object.

    Note that when you create a relationship in HZ_RELATIONSHIPS, it is not necessary that a record is created in HZ_ORG_CONTACTS. This is optional based on a user in function parameter. I'll have to check if on this last point. I remember it was how it worked.

    You use a license key in Volme - and this key usage has been limited to one region, probably because the owner of the key or MS has noticed that the key was abused, but the owner has too many devices in this area to be able to easily change the key or the operating system on all, so they opted for the more expensive option.

    I wanted to just chime.

    • Show as naming model, 'name': is not possible in this app.  You can sort and organize contacts by last name (hence the "S" section would show John Smith, not Shawn Keene), but the real display names will not change.

      You can submit feedback in the app Store (you can sort the people app directly from the charm of settings) you want to see it.

    • View contacts from Office Outlook 2013: the people app actually stores not contact, just of connects to online accounts and shows what it finds.  I can see my Outlook Contacts from 2013 within the app people because my company uses such as Exchange Server and all my contacts are saved so they synchronize between all my computers/apps, including those App and Outlook on each computer.  But if your contacts are "orphaned" and within a single copy instance of Outlook, not connected to a service online, then you can not show them inside the people app.

      To do this, I personally recommend past of an online account if you can.  You get great synchronization among all your accounts and devices, as well as a kind of backup because data is stored elsewhere.

  • I want to drag contacts into folders to organize them rather than color coded categories.

    I want to drag the contacts, while in the address book, in folders to organize them rather than color coded categories. Example, I have a folder called "Active CUSTOMERS" and I want to move to a folder titled "Past CLIENTS".

    Also, I drag messages into folders that works well, but when I try to move all of a folder of messages under a different title, I often put in place the new folder and copy and paste all the messages. It's tedious.

    I can't believe there are not many people in sales who want to put in place their clients in different folders. It would really clean up your address book so you don't always go through thousands of email addresses. I know that I can sort the color-coded categories, but this is slow compared to drag the contact into a folder.

    Please feel free to send me suggestions. My contacts duplicated and screwed up in Windows Live and now I need to sort out about 5 000 contacts - I already managed to get rid of exact duplicates but there will still be a lot of work. [email protected]

    Create a new address books and move contacts in them.

    In the address book window, select file-new-address book
    Then, drag and drop contacts from existing books in the new.

  • Cannot organize Windows Contacts by last name

    When I open Windows Contacts, the contacts are all sorted by first name (the full name, in fact).  Is it possible to sort/organize the list of contacts by last name?  This is how most people organize their address books.

    Not with Windows Contacts, the feature set is not very good.  Best thing to do is to Download Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail replacement, allowing you to sort by last name, in addition it is secured for contacts, in general, is much more functional.

  • How to organize my "windows contacts" and alphabetize by family name?

    I use Vista.  "Windows contacts", I had my contact names in alphabetical order by family name.  When I downloaded Explorer 8, my contacts are now in alphabetical order by "name".  How can I change to the listed contacts and alphabetically by "last name" again?

    You can try the following steps and check.

    Right-click on the column header bar and select 'more' and check the option ' name'. The column is displayed. You can drag it where you want and sort upwards or downwards by clicking on the header.

    Alternatively, you can try the following steps.

    a. right click on the Contacts folder.

    b. change the display «Détails»

    c. right-click on the 'name' column header, click on "First name", then click on 'Last Name'

    d. click the title "Last Name" to sort by there.
