• InDesign crash in OSX 10.10.3 CS6

  Hi all

  I had a problem with Indesign CS6 in OSX 10.10.3. The program will crash on the desk, reports "Indesign quit unexpectedly.

  This can happen once in several days or several times an hour; There is no reason for the moment to crashes, or what is done at the time of the accident in InDesign.

  The computer is a new iMac 27 ", bought this year. The OS is fully updated to OSX 10.10.3

  Again, I tried the following hotfixes:

  Cleared Caches and Pref removal several times

  Removed the CS6 entirely and has run the Adobe Cleaner tool before reinstalling now.

  Removed all third-party programs, including Dropbox.

  Clean out all unused or potentially problematic policies of third party

  Hotfixes installed until 8.1.0.419. (which seems to be the most recent)

  OSX reinstalled from scratch.

  On the new installation of OSX, I have the bare minimum installed; Chrome, Firefox, Office 2011, Papercut and some 10,10 Konica Minolta printer drivers, but crashes still occur.

  There is no correlation between accidents and projects open files or specific.

  At any time now or in the past, before the re-installation of non adobe programs have trouble of any kind.

  The workstation was Apple and MemTest86 diagnostic.

  Thanks for the help in debugging this problem. Unfortunately, the errors continue despite the ideas on this post.

  We have since bought and installed CC after a clean uninstall of the CS6, and the errors disappeared instantly, even working with the same files and projects.

  This leads me to think the issues I was fighting were a kind of incompatibility between the 27 "iMac (prehaps a framework in use) and the CS6. Especially since we ProBooks running the exact same software and OS versions that were never exposed mistakes, despite the use by the same user.

  I got I watch other topics and I know that this topic has been talked about already, but so far I have not found a solution to my problem.

  I'm a complete beginner in InDesign. I try to print a wedding album. All my (.tiff) files are prepared in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and assigned to ProPhoto RGB. In Indesign, I put an option to embed markup color profiles and I changed the transparency blending mode to RGB. With regard to the print settings I have:

  Output: Composite RGB

  Graphics card: send data-> all the

  Color management: Document (profile: Prophoto RGB), color management: Let InDesign determine colors, print profile (provided by the paper provided to the selected printer - I use Hahnemühle Photo rag Satin)

  I don't know what to select in the advanced options... I've tried both - Print as Bitmap flattening and transparency: high resolution and both gave the same results.

  I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.8

  There is no problem with this combo of paper/profile/printer in Photoshop, I get however printing InDesign Chantal shade on black and white photos and colors desaturated about printing color prints.

  Please help me understand what I am doing wrong?

  The printer driver, in the 'Color Matching' section there are only 2 options: ColorSync and EPSON color controls.

  Looks like I need to select one of them even when adjusting the color in the color settings is disabled. Who would be the right one?

  I gave up on Epson a while and moved so I'm not sure of their drivers. But I guess you want to use Epson color controls and find the setting for no. color management. I hope that some here know well 7880 drivers and can help out.

• Print cause CS6 hang

  Win7 CS6, Epson R1900 & BX635FWD. Have you loads print last week and everything was fine. This week the CS6 is suspended as soon as I hit the point of print on the file menu. Nothing has been updated (done a system restore-this had no effect). CS6 began with a reset - nothing doesn't. Other applications (word/excel) print very well. Any ideas no matter which - I need to get out a few impressions

  Amazon - purchased at Amazon Direct or another seller on Amazon? Amazon is a reliable seller for Adobe, but most "private sellers" are not.

  Anyway, if you don't need CS5 for now, uninstall it. Use the Creative Suite cleanup tool I linked you in my previous answer to clear all previous traces. If you need, at a later date, you can always reinstall your installation disc CS5.

  The only real way to see if it installs its own version and updates of the present generation 13.0.1 is to do a clean installation of Photoshop CS6.

  CS6 shape layer is really still the the shape layer pre - CS6 - a fill layer with a vector mask - but with the addition of a stroke attribute. The attempt to disguise as a new special type of layer resulted in inconsistencies, trouble, inconvenience, and deterioration of the workflow.

  Hi all

  I started Illustrator this afternoon to do some drawings in the line.  I selected the line segment tool and the value of the width of the line pt a.25.  I made a few lines at random angles and everything was fine.  When I tried to make lines to 0 or 90 degrees, the width of the line changed to pt 1 by itself.  If I select the line and try to set the width of the line a.25, it jumps to 1 pt.  It drives me crazy.  I must have done something, but I can't understand that.  I know that I have a "Doh" moment when I realize the problem.  Can someone understand what is happening here?

• Batch "save under" problem

  Strange things are during the batch save as function.

  I have a set of actions I need to run on hundreds of jpegs, they simply had a lens correction, Auto color and auto contrast, then need to record in TIFF format, everything works fine when I record the action, but when I run it on a folder full of images JPEG, TIFF is huge! original JPEGs are about 5 MB and TIFF is 30 MB, if I ask to save it as a file individually think fine (about 2 MB file size)

  In the Save as item, I've specified compression jpeg at a quality of 8, but it seems miss it in the batch, am I missing something?

  Sorry, I meant stock,

  the output should be tiff, as requested by another Department,

  I just created a new action with the same settings and it worked perfectly,

  the two actions are identicle yet we work and the other not,

  bit of a strange problem, but it works.

• Uninstall Acrobat CS5.5?

  I just downloaded and installed on MAC OSX 10.7.3 CS6. When I went in my Applications folder, I realized I had all my new CS6 application as well as my old applications CS5.5... except for Acrobat X Pro & a few others.

  So, my question is... is my version of Acrobat (10.1.3) CS6 last version I keep or uninstall it with the rest of my apps CS5.5 and then download and install it again?

  You must uninstall the Acrobat software.

  Go to Mac HD / Applications / Utiltities / uninstall Adobe installers/Acrobat X

  Run the uninstaller to remove the Acrobat and install it then the AAM.
