RGB print IndesignCS4/Prophoto RGB/Epson 7880

Hello

I got I watch other topics and I know that this topic has been talked about already, but so far I have not found a solution to my problem.

I'm a complete beginner in InDesign. I try to print a wedding album. All my (.tiff) files are prepared in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and assigned to ProPhoto RGB. In Indesign, I put an option to embed markup color profiles and I changed the transparency blending mode to RGB. With regard to the print settings I have:

Output: Composite RGB

Graphics card: send data-> all the

Color management: Document (profile: Prophoto RGB), color management: Let InDesign determine colors, print profile (provided by the paper provided to the selected printer - I use Hahnemühle Photo rag Satin)

I don't know what to select in the advanced options... I've tried both - Print as Bitmap flattening and transparency: high resolution and both gave the same results.

I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.8

There is no problem with this combo of paper/profile/printer in Photoshop, I get however printing InDesign Chantal shade on black and white photos and colors desaturated about printing color prints.

Please help me understand what I am doing wrong?

Here's a thread that should help you with the problem of ColorSync devices.

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?Forum=1003&message=31085537

The printer driver, in the 'Color Matching' section there are only 2 options: ColorSync and EPSON color controls.

Looks like I need to select one of them even when adjusting the color in the color settings is disabled. Who would be the right one?

I gave up on Epson a while and moved so I'm not sure of their drivers. But I guess you want to use Epson color controls and find the setting for no. color management. I hope that some here know well 7880 drivers and can help out.

  • Printing from InDesign for Epson Stylus Photo R3000

In InDesign CS4 when I go to print to my new Epson Stylus Photo R3000, I don't see any options necessary to select types of paper, color or black, IPR, etc. in the printing establishment of Project dialog Panel.

However, when I use Quark I see all the options I need. Surely InDesign should have them too?

    Please can someone hepl?

    Thank you very much.

Oh, re-read your messages earlier, you say:

Dialog box comes under 'General' at the top by "Printer" the only option that he has 'Epson Stylus Photo R3000' which is the printer I have.

    and then separately:

Yes, but if you hit 'printer' in InDesign all you get is a dialog box saying use of InDesign print dialog box to "avoid conflicts of impression. Then you are taken back to square one where you cannot select the printer determine color and therefore cannot choose the types of paper etc.

Are you saying when you hit a printer you get this? :

If Yes, then you have to hit the triangle I circled in green, to get to this:

And you should get a whole lot of choice in the drop-down list of oval-surrounded. Some may be specific to a printer, and some cannot.

Is not what you get? If this isn't the case, maybe you should post a screenshot.

I'm not really convinced that the choice of the color in the InDesign print area management has much to do with what you want to accomplish. Certainly, it should not influence selection paper. for example.

  • Printer sharing via LAN - EPSON XP-335

    Hello

We use 3 Macs connected via LAN (Ethernet, we do not use Wi - Fi).

I have connected an EPSON XP-335 via USB to Mac #1, and it prints fine.

On all Macs, I installed the software EPSON printing and active "Sharing printers", via preferences > sharing.

but when I try to print from Mac #2 or #3 I get this message "not connected":

    What should I do?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi coxorange,

Please use the Apple Support communities for help. From your post, I understand that you are unable to access the printer that is connected to one of your iMac, others in the House. I know it's nice to be able to print from all of your devices, so I'm happy to help you to provide advice for this.

From the information you provided, it seems that there is some confusion about the way the printer is shared on your devices. In order to have a shared printer, you must only share from the computer to which it is connected. From there, you can connect to this printer with other computers. Perform these steps on the iMac to which it is attached:

    How to share a printer:

    1. Open sharing preferences if it is not already open (choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Sharing), then check the box print sharing.

    2. Under printers, select the printer you want to share.

When you share a printer, all users on your network ("everyone") can use by default. If you want to restrict access to specific people, go to steps 3 and 4.

    3. Click on the button Add at the bottom of the users list, and then do one of the following:

      • Select a user in users and groups, that includes all your Mac users.

      • Select a user from the network or users groups network, which includes everyone on your network.

      • Select a person in your contacts. Create a password for the person, then click on create an account.

    4. When you add people to the list of users, access to the shared printer is reset to no access for the users of your network ("everyone"). To provide access to everyone again, click the triangles, then choose can print.

  • How to save print settings customized on Epson R200 printer in Windows 7?

I recently bought a new Dell with Windows 7, and I have an Epson R200 printer.  When I go to 'Advanced' print settings that I don't see an option to save.  For example, if you use Photoshop, I want to record the type of photo paper glossy, photo print quality, etc..  It is annoying because I need to reset everytime I want to print.   I'm used to be able to save the settings in Windows XP.

Custom print settings are a function normally the printer driver.  You go to the Epson website and downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers for your printer and Win 7?  Is there no drivers on the website then you'd be using the default drivers in Windows 7 and they are normally limited in their capabilities.  Quick check showed no Vista or Win 7 driver for this printer because it is an older one.

I tried to print a large panorama (13' x 48 ") on roll of paper on an Epson r2880 lightroom cc. It seems that all the settings are correct (I think) and I can't seem to print correctly never! summer wasting a lot of paper! at the start of the image to print, it spits out about 24 "white paper then to print from the center of the image? for some strange reason, it will not print the first 24 "of the image! I really have no idea...

I think you mean 13 "x 48" (13' = 156 "length exceeds the maximum length of paper for the Epson R2880).

Do scroll to the solution offered by btolley below and see if that helps. It is for LR3, but should always be applicable.

  • print large format on epson printer

I am trying to print a document from Illustrator. The document size is 13 "x 19".

When I load Super A3 paper (13 x 19) in my Epson printer the printer starts and begins to print but stops at about 4 inches down the paper and then ejects the entire sheet (with the rest of the image is not being printed). Epson monitor indicates that the document only addresses once again the sheet partially printed is ejected. The quality of the partially printed sheet is fine.

I put to the top of the print dialog box of illustrator to the size of the sheet that I put in. Ive tried 3 - 4 times with the same result.

    I'm on a MAC OSX 10.5.8

Seems to have no problem with other sizes of standard sheet printing.

    Any thoughts?

There are a few things you can try; 1.) see if you have enough memory to process the page (it might be out of memory system); (set of 2). an invisible operation line to the page / document and lock (no terms, no fill @ 13 x 19); 3.) use the Page tool (if you haven't done so already) and set it to the document, edge to edge.  In addition, check ink you supplies, there may be an empty cartridge that prevents you to print the entire file.  I hope this helps.

  • Printing problem for printers Epson of CS5

After the upgrade to CS5 and LR3 I can get access to options of the printer driver for many of my printers Epson (R320, 4000, 7600).  They appear in the strike through selected text and when read: "the PrintSetting bundle could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture." Printing from CS4 still works correctly.  I have the most recent driver (even if some are several years old).  My printer still work very well, they shouldn't be rendered obsolete by a change to Adobe.

You don't have a printer drivers 64-bit, which would be needed to interact with the printer in a 64-bit application.

Get info on Photoshop and tell him to open as a 32-bit application, so your old printer drivers should work.

  • printing in LR2 to Epson R2400 in Snow Leopard

I just installed LR2 on a new iMac with 10.6.2.

For R2400 printer does not - the printer driver / reports again that the media are not loaded correctly.

    (Paper 10 * 15 cm borderless).

However, the same settings work fine in the opening, as well as in ordinary office type applications

(except that it's a bit stupid print on photo paper).

The printer starts, made some preliminary work, but the paper does not load.

Make sure you have the latest Epson driver installed rather than the version provided by Apple. You might also need to delete the existing first for the Mac driver save the new driver

  • My printer cannot print - it's an Epson Stylus CX7000F - help

You are trying to print photos from a memory card inserted in the slot of the card reader printer or a camera connected directly to the printer?

In both cases, this isn't really a Windows problem, but maybe we can help you.

Have you never done this successfully?

If you try to print by directly connecting a camera, what is the brand and model of the camera?

If you try to print from a memory card, have you tried to copy the files from the memory card on your computer and then open them on the computer to ensure that the files are not corrupted?

  • LR print does not correctly Epson 3880

I'm trying to print an 8.5x11 borderless printing... everything seems OK for me regarding the editing of the page and the LR PRINT module, but the printer still prints that a small part of the image on the paper, as shown in the images below.  I've been printing for LR 4 this 3880 no problem for YEARS... .but after the upgrade to a Macbook Pro and the latest version of LR I only got problems printing and especially this size and adjustment without borders.    Export the Photoshop image and I can't seem to print correctly... If I move to a different paper size, the draws are made correctly, at least 11 x 17 and the first impression when I switch to the rear for 8.5 x 11 size prints almost correctly - there is a rest of small border when there should be no border at all , but subsequent prints of this size of 8.5 "x 11" back to the truncated version.  The question so far seems confined to paper 8.5 x 11 and as far as I can see only in Lightroom... the 2015 version not print border print correctly, simply print a small part of a smaller (see the attached file) of printing or printing prints borderless with a small border... it's absolutely maddening and I pay for the CC every month... should not be the case.  Examples are given below.  I hope someone has a solution for this and thanks in advance.   There are 74 GB of free disk SSD internal flash by the way, a Macbook Air 2011

  • Cannot print via Epson WF-6590

One of my users can't print continuously on our printer Epson WF-6590. The device is hard plugged into our network, the firmware is up to date and everyone in the office can print, except for a single user. It allows to print one or two times before either an error of communication or message filter has failed is displayed. It's a very intermittent problem, and more often than otherwise, this occurs when a host of jobs present one after the other.

I have tried tons of troubleshooting steps. So far, include:

    resetting the printing system

    * Add the printer via the latest Epson PS driver

adding the device by IP and Hello

    * permissions of the drive checked and repaired

    * updated with the latest OS (10.11.6)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
