Out of memory system on environment 2011 27 "imacz
Yesterday began to receive messages from memory system on a regular basis.
I haven't added any new application for almost a year and have not been broadcast nothing more than safari (with only 1 or 2 windows open), mail, adobe pro, calendar, contacts.
I ran the activity monitor, and under memory pressure, I see that Safari is open, the pressure will increase to nearly max (15,49 GB) with no other apps to open.
I think that this could be related safari, but have no idea how to fix this. Help.

Please quit and then restart Safari after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
The problem may be caused by web pages in the list of the favorite who sometimes or always request access with a CAPTCHA. If you know that there are these pages among your Favorites, remove them and see if there is an improvement. If not favorite and remove all Favorites, then restore them one or a few at a time until you find the culprits. There may be more than one.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

A right click or Ctrl-click on the line and select
Services ▹ Open
the contextual menu.* should open a folder named "Safari". Quit Safari runs. One or more files in the open file must have a name starting in 'history '. Move these files and only those which, on the desktop, leaving the window open. Restart the application and test. If there is no change, leave again and put the files that you moved back where they were, crushing those who could be created in their place. If not, remove the files that you moved. The browser history will be empty. If possible, restore deleted files from a previous backup problem.

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

I have an iMac 2013 end (27-inch, 3.2 GHz i5) with 24 GB RAM installed running OS X El Capitan 10.11.5). Whenever Safari is open, it slows down gradually until I get a message "your system is out of memory the application" and several applications have been suspended. I tried to reinstall the OS X without result.
Once a report of Etrecheck indicates failure Drive with 19 errors, I contacted the Apple Support. The tech support guy was not familiar with Etrecheck, but don't think it was a defective drive. He had me DOWNLOAD & running Malwarebytes (did not find anything), create a Test user (which looked OK) and accompanied me through the removal of the caches in the library in my own user (which seemed to work for a while). He seemed anxious to finish my problem, so I let it go. Then he started to slow again. Subsequent reports of Etrecheck showed still drive failure but with only 2 to 5 errors. Now the drive seems fine.
Safari seems to be the cause. I deleted several tabs and off most of the extensions, but it did not help.

What made these disk errors go away? These are almost always bad news.
But in fact: at the moment, Safari appears the biggest problem. Try to start in Safe Mode, followed by a normal reboot.

Published by: cehache on 10-mar-2011 11:50May sound like a stupid question, but are you sure that you are using Oracle 64-bit? The OS is 64-bit and SHM kernel parameters appear to be configured correctly, but there is this 3.6 GB limit is for 32-bit applications, which makes me wonder...

My Apple Macbook late 2009 has been upgraded to 4 GB and Mountain Lion but runs very slowly. When I check the memory system activity monitor, I see that there are 1.6 GB inactive. Is this the cause of the slowness and what I can do?

Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari

Troubleshooting Applications
I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.
If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility. If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line. Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.
Basic backup
For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:
1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;
2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's
used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
drive being backed up.
You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):

6. Tri-Backup

Additional tips
Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.
Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.
Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.
Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:
Before Mavericks

If find you a process that uses a large amount of time processor (> = 70,) then select the process, and then click the quit icon in the toolbar. Click the force quit button to kill the process. This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.

I get error "-12 out of memory" when using CopyTabPage (Panel, TAB, 0, Panel, TAB,-1) on my request (the first duplication tab).
There are several levels of tab panel system (like this example)

I have reached the limit of the CVI? Are there things to check? (I develop under CVI 2012 SP1).

Error: Out of memory error when I enter on my second game in Combat Arms (fps) by Nexon. He stops the game each time around going into the second game and gives me this error.
I've had this computer for about 3 months now, and this error began to occur when Nexon has voice chat and a few new features of game which took place in a patch about 1 month ago.

I would say that you uninstall\re-insatll the game but do not install the patch. Then, play the game and try for awhile and see if the error occurs. It is possible that the patch is not fully compatible with Windows 7, or a piece of your equipment. You can also check manufacturers of games forums for more information on this situation. Jump here (nothing Bruce suggested is false), I did a search and found this old article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245419), which indicates that there is a bad entry under the identity key in the registry (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background). So if it's a big problem, you can do the steps suggested in this article and that will fix it. Or if you have just one account, then backup your settings and the identity key and then delete the identity key and then start OE and it will establish a new, and you can then set up your account again, and then import the messages from the older directory. But it does not indicate the major corruption, so you can just ignore it.

I know there are some discussions about this, but they seem to be dead. I have attached a highlight of easy application and crued my problem. Click the button and it will start operations.
The problem im having is that I am getting large amounts of transaction (lots of 250 transactions) to a server to be applied to a database, inserts updates deletions etc. It works for awhile, but will then blow with the out-of-memory exceptions. The number of transactions can be reduced, but even that batch 1 transaction will result in the error.
The application is made to be used for 5.0 devices and most any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi thanks for the suggestion, I tried it in the test project and it works, but I tried that in the main project, and she has not which leads me to believe their was another problem.
I discovered that there was a scenerio where one of the instructions was not closed off which means the object was never being destroyed.

shmall is the total amount of shared memory, in the pages, that the system can use simultaneously.
Define shmall equal to the sum of all Sams in the system, divided by the size of the page.
The page size can be determined by using the following command:
$ getconf PAGE_SIZE
4096
For example, if the sum of all Sams in the system is 16 GB and the result of
"$ getconf PAGE_SIZE" is 4096 (4 KB) then set shmall 4194304 pages
As the root user affect the 4194304 shmall in /etc/sysctl.conf file:
kernel.shmall = 4194304
then run the following command:
$ sysctl Pei
$ cat/proc/sys/kernel/shmall
4194304
The above command loads the new value and an restart is not required.
Return to the oracle user and try again the start command.
