Outlook can receive but can't send mail.

When it is connected to the wireless network, Outlook can receive but can't send mail, unless the server setting out being changed.  It's embarrassing when it is connected to the public wireless to nowhere for the outgoing server setting.  Anyone could fix this problem?  Very much appreciated.

  • Windows 8 App Outlook can't send mail? Nothing works

I got a laptop Windows 8 May and everything worked as expected (I've upgraded to Vista, so there was a bit of a learning curve with the new interface). About two weeks ago, I noticed that my e-mail application Outlook (the one that was already installed on my device when buying) has ceased to send emails. I have several emails saved in my Outbox, and whenever I try to sync the app so it will send them, lists my email as not available in the upper right.
I can still receive mail, but the app is no longer warns me of new messages, despite the option checked in my settings.
I looked for this answer online, and it seems to be a common problem.

I tried to get my password, I tried all the possible parameters associated with my email, activating / deactivating their market once again, and I did it pretty near everything apart from uninstalling the app and put it back / restore factory settings.

I got the email from one - and it's a live.com email. I do not receive my Gmail email this application to Outlook.

Can anyone provide any help for me? I am getting very frustrated.
    Thank you!

    Hello

You can try to run the Troubleshooter of Apps and check if it helps. This tool can automatically identify and fix problems with the applications.

Also if you have installed a third-party antivirus software try to disable it and see if the problem still occurs.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mail Outbox folder is gray and will not sync - so I can't send mail!

For the last 11 months, since I got my Priv, everything was good with e-mail. But in recent weeks, all of a sudden I can't send email. No joke. She shows up in the Outbox and are not sent. I checked account settings and Outbox is grey and not checked for synchronization. It won't sync. Help!

It's AOL and I never had any problems so far. If you ask about IMAP or POP, honestly, I don't know what all this means.

I just need to get this ungrey Outbox so I can check "synch." It's desperate!

    Thank you.

I have changed my password last week, all first by logging into AOL on my computer because it's the main place. And, then, a few minutes later, I changed the password for this AOL account on the Priv to match it. I have nothing more than that.

That should have worked... but please triple check the password you entered on the PRIV, especially if there is no character special or something. But, then again, you always receive... just e-mail could not be sent. This means that your password on the PRIV is indeed correct. Very strange.

One thing... in the PRIVATE account settings, there should be two places to put your password, one for "Incoming settings" and one for "Outgoing settings." If you have changed only, on PRIV, the incoming settings to your new password, it could entirely explain the behavior you see... you need to change both, because they are elements of independent setup for the account.

I went back in the computer last night and tried to find an Outbox. There is none. The Outbox only exists on priv.

When you say "computer", are you talking about a browser-based webmail interface? Or are you talking about a desktop client for electronic mail (Outlook or something else)?

    CaliforniaGirl100 wrote:

And where do you find configurations? I don't see that on the computer.

Again, this depends on what you're talking about on the computer... webmail client or by e-mail (for example, Outlook).

In addition, I don't want to remove this particular AOL account to start fear I won't get the same one back, even if it's just for a second. It is essential that I maintain and never leave my reach.

Well, who's going to be a challenge then. The thing to do is to look at the AOL Server, via a webmail client (if they have one...) AOL is so old that I have not used them in several years). If what you need is on the server, then remove and reconfigure the device should not be a problem. In fact, if you really are based only on your device for your data, then you are taking a huge risk... devices may fail.

Good luck and let us know!

  • mail app can not send mail

I have Windows 8 64-bit on a computer laptop touchscreen HP. Mail application came pre-installed.
The internet connection on this laptop works very well (its what I use to write this message)
The mail app will RECEIVE mail, but it will not just SEND it. Only, it lies in the Outbox and does nothing, no progress, bar nothing.
It comes to getting the error messages:
"There is a problem sending this message. Please check with your provider for more information. »
"Reconnect to the internet and the synchronization... '. »

As I said, my internet connection is fine.
As far as I see it, there is no way to get to settings of mail to check for what he complains. It would be nice if there was a progress bar or something to show that it does something.

If there are no hoops to jump through to get this thing to work, the procedures are not clearly explained and are not visible.

    Update
: after a long time of trying, a message finally popped up saying that I had to be connected to the Outlook on the web, so I did and this is when 2 of the test emails have been sent.  Regarding the message #3, I always get a message that "there was a problem right now sending messages to . Check with your provider for more information"and it also says to reconnect to the internet, and then try again. And Yes, I was always connected to Outlook on the web when I received this notification. I tried some additional tests, both signed in Outlook and then outside, some with an attachment, some just the text. There are now 5 test messages that app Mail are not sent.

This success appears to be random. Sometimes he will send, most of the time he refused.

I tested again today and included a photo attachment in the email test. It seemed to work fine. I think the problem I had was because the video file originally, I was trying to send was great and for some reason, the Windows 8 messaging application can't seem to manage it, but using mail Web page electronic outlook * can * handle it.

So, try using the Web mail page: mail.live.com and then see if it works. I don't know about whether or not the application will work after that.

  • After the upgrade to Windows 10, I can't send mail from my IMAP account

When you try to use a Windows Live e-mail account or a different Web-based e-mail account in Windows Mail, you cannot send e-mail messages?

Windows Mail supports more HTTP servers that are used by Hotmail and other e-mail providers such as AOL mail, Google mail, Yahoo! mail Web.

To resolve your problem, use Windows Live Mail instead of Windows Mail.

Windows Live Mail works with popular Web-based e-mail services such as Hotmail, AOL mail, Google mail, and Yahoo! mail. Windows Live Mail is designed to configure automatically many popular e-mail services.

This also happens to my wife and her email.  We can receive mail, but when trying to send email, we get a message "connection to server failed.  This has started to happen for us two, a few days ago.  We have made no changes recently that it would affect.
I called my ISP and we went through testing everything and they decided it was a problem of Windows Live Mail.
We can get on the web and send and receive mail, so maybe they have reason.  I tried to call Microsoft and they said it's my only option ;-(
    Any ideas?
