Overheating of the satellite 1110

Have a problem with my laptop. He seems to get very hot, especially in the right rear corner. If it is left without use, then it crashes.
Then cannot be reset by removing the battery and the power cable. Once he returns to the top, it has a system32 error and checks a disk.
Could this be the computer laptop cooling fan or radiator PKU does not properly. The model is Toshiba Satellite 1110-Z14/Z15.

Hello

Overheating is a common problem with laptop. If the cooling is not good enough the machine stops on its own. It is a kind of protection mechanism. Before that the pieces of equipment can be damaged, the device turns off.

The problem occurs because dust and debris is sucked into the fan cooling grids. I recommend you to clean the appliance. I'm not sure if you can do it yourself. You can try using dry compressed air directed to the radiator grille.

Good bye

  • Overheating of the satellite A300 - 1 k 8

    Hello world

last night, the phone turns itself off without warning, I hit rock bottom and was very hot. This morning I disassembled, cleaned and changed the thermal paste to the microprocessor to better dissipate the temperature.

Well, the laptop runs on about 30 minutes because again, it goes at high temperature and turn off. I formatted the hard drive too and does not work. The fan works and take the air but the air strip is not hot, it's pretty cold, which is strange because the surveillance microphone gets over 90 degrees before turning off.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with the laptop, and the only way to work is set the microprocessor to 50%.

I appreciate any solution, idea, proposal or anything else but tell me something because I'm desperate...

    Thank you all.

  • What is the input voltage max of the motherboard on Satellite 1110?

What is the maximum voltage for the motherboard in the Satellite 1110 please?
Because my current cpu (1.5 ghz celeron) is 1.025 volts and I would like to change the processor
something faster (cooling will be treated with btw XD)
The only problem being that the new processor needs 1.3 volts to run.

    Any info wud b appreciated

Is that not every processor is compatible with the motherboard.
1110 series computer are supported on the Intel Mobile Celeron processors up to 1.8 GHz.
Other processors are not compatible and the laptop won't work with faster processors.

    I'm looking for a new drive combo DVD/CDRW for the Satellite 1110 - Z20.

    Which drive do you recommend?
    Is it easy to replace?
    Thank you very much

    Hello

Why do you ask the firmware? I put t think that the firmware of the player has something to do with the compatibility of the player.
The fact is that not every drive will run on the laptop because c - salt sensitive and master/slave settings.

On the drives for desktop PC, you can change these settings by changing the jumper but on the portable readers it of not possible to change the settings.

In my manual, I found the player that is compatible for my laptop. Maybe it s also listed in the user manual you.
If this isn't the case, then contact the Toshiba service partner in your country to control the player compatible and taken in charge. Guys you can give an exactly the info about the supported drive.

After installing Windows 7 64 bit can't find the correct work display driver.
Fan does not work quickly, by the suite and heavy applications is overheating and the laptop is turned off.
Not able to find a driver for Windows7 64 bit or Vista 64-bit for my card on the Toshiba site.

The site of AMD.com a driver for Radeon 2XXX series:
Windows 7-64 bit ATI Catalyst a? ¢ Display Driver Version: 9.9, Edition Release
Date: 09/09/2009. -Drivers do not help.

I tried to increase the fan speed you programs 'ATI Tray Tools', has not helped.

Please help me with my problem. Sorry for my English

    Hello

The drivers of Toshiba laptops are a bit different and not the same thing as the drivers from the manufacturer of the graphics card.
The original ATI drivers are made for office use and not for mobile use. Drivers Toshiba takes supported thermal protection that allows to control the performance of gpu and the dissipation of the heat.
If you want to use a page ATI driver then your GPU could create more heat as usual which leads to the unexpected shutdown.

I installed Win 7 on my A210. I didn't install the driver of ATI graphics card because the Win 7 automatically recognizes the graphics chip.
After installation, I went to the Device Manager. Then, I chose the graphics chip and looked for the driver automatically. Windows has found the right driver and installed this
Since the unit works perfectly with Win 7

  • Satellite M40-285 - CPU overheating after the accident with water

    Hello everyone,

I have a Toshiba Satellite M40-285, and 2 days ago, my girlfriend dumped a cup of tea on the keyboard... The computer turns off after a few seconds. Immediately, I put the laptop upside down and disassembled parts. There was some liquid inside (especially inside the speakers under the keyboard and where is the DVD unit). Other parts (CPU, memory, wireless card, hard drive area) were completely dry. I have it with napkings and dry with a hair dryer (later I read that I shoud never use a hair dryer...).

The turs laptop on one seems to work fine (only the first screen where it says toshiba remains more than normal long (15 seconds or more) before entering windows). But the problem I have is that the CPU gets overheated and the laptop shuts down after 5-15 minits of use. I'm getting attention via the RightMark utility I said "* Core overheating * ' and the temperature always between 45 - 55 c

I replaced the thermalgrease but the problem remains. The CPU fan works (I think that the two speeds). The heatsink is very hot after the computer turns off (it burns my fingers if I touch)

What could be the problem? * Is the processor damaged? Can be a problem in the motherboard? *
I don't know what to don't know because is not woth the money to send it to the technical service, but I can't buy a new laptop now...

    Hey,.

I m wondering that the laptop is still ongoing and no more parts are damaged. In addition he s very cool that you could fix it yourself and dry. Many people don t know how ;)

In any case, if the CPU is overheating it seems that something on the assembly or the cooling fan is damaged and must be replaced. Possibly peut t fan run with the highest speed more, who knows.

Of course, it is difficult to say what is the cause of the problem, but in your case I would try ordering a new fan and the heatsink too. The two parties shouldn't t be expensive and it seems that you can replace yourself.
So just contact a service provider allowed in your country to order these parts. They can do this.

Good luck and feedback would be great, I am interested on this! :)

  • Could not load the device driver for DVD/CD-RW - Satellite 1110

I have a Satellite 1110 and something has gone wrong with my DVD/CDRW and it will not read any CD. It is reported as a CARPET * A UJDA730 DVD/CDRW but the device status is shown as:

"Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

Can someone advise how to recover from this situation?

    Thank you

    Hello

First of all you n t a driver for the CD/DVD drive. The drive uses the standard Windows OS driver and it s not necessary to install additional.
I suppose that there could be something wrong with the registry entry.

  • Question about upgrading the CPU for Satellite 1110-Z14

    Hello

My satellite 1110-z14 has a processor intel mobile celeron @ 1.5 ghz. The processor is based on architecture p4 - it should be a northwood-256.
Is it possible to upgrade the processor?

1110-z20 is powered by the mobile celeron @ 2.0 ghz - all other technical specifications except the hard drive are the same... (ati radeon m6 with 16 MB, usb 1.1 mob and so on...).

What do you think, can I upgrade the processor?
    Can what cpu I use?

    Thanks for your replies!

    Hello

AFAIK the 1110 series computer is equipped with an Intel 845MZ system controller.
I found some details about Intel 845MZ chipset on the Intel page. It must be able to manage the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 - M with 400 MHz FSB Processor
    http://www.Intel.com/products/chipsets/845MP/index.htm
On the Intel page, you can find the entire family of the CPU.

But generally the replacement of CPU and the upgrade is not recommended and no one can say whether the OS will run stable after these updates, so be careful.

All ideas welcome, here or directly to me on [email protected]

    Hi Robin,

Most CD devices have a small hole somewhere on the frame before about 1 millimeter in diameter. Carefully push a needle (or an open safety pin) into this hole and it should trigger the eject mechanism.

    It requires a low pressure.

  • Satellite 1110 - how to remove the dust?

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite 1110
What is the best way to remove dust on this model...

    Hiya,

The best way to remove dust and debris is with a domestic vacuum hose. This requires no disassembly and isn't sure reasonable. The important thing is not to try to extract the dust through the grid of output on your laptop. This will compact probably debris in radiator grilles. Always remove dust through the suction fan grids.
