  I have a custom reminder pre-batch TS 4.0, which fills in the serial numbers, part numbers, etc for the DUT being tested (using a model of batch processing). These variables are found in the pre-batch settings. However, I can't understand how to access these values further reminders (SequenceFilePostStepFailure, for example).

  In the pre-batch sequence, I can access the serial number for UUT4 using Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets [4]. USE. Serial number. But I can't find the object of ModelData when you don't the pre-batch and tried to look in the root, runstate, hand, sequence, etc., without a bit of luck.

  Hey William,.

  You will probably want to use the option "only a thread" of a synchronization of the batch section to do this. Looks like you already use the Batch process template, so it should be relatively easy to implement. If it's one step, you can go to the sync step settings tab and change the setting from batch synchronization . If several consecutive steps, you can use the modes enter the sections synchronised and synchronized output of the step batch synchronization type.

• The parallel model configuration help

  This is my first time posting, but I'm a long time reader...

  First of all, I consider my knowledge novice Teststand high to low intermidiate level. I created a sequence test to aid in Teststand that call labview vi. My test sequence tests 5 units at a time in a parallel model (model in parallel sequence). From a functional point of view, everything works great for single pass and loops. However, here's my problem:

  When you select "USE Test", it brings up a window that asks you the serial number for each of the five stations. The operator must then enter a serial number for each and press OK proceed. This configuration is not valid for what I do. My test setup has a button for each of the 5 stations. The user must press the button to start the test (connects to a data acquisition). Then the serial number is read from the UUT and entered in the report.

  How could I go how to reconfigure it? I'm not looking for someone solve my problems for me, I just need a little direction. I looked at the parallel sequence model and I may not know where to go with it.

  In the parallel model, you will see the Pre DUT reminder.  Inside of there, you will find the steps that call the dialog box you're talking about.  The best option is to replace it in your file of the client's sequence.  Then write your own code that dictate the required operators to go direction.

• Problem by removing the frontendCallback of user folder

  I'm customizing my own reminder seq frontend and during application installation that copies to the Frontendcallback user folder (IE D:\Documents and Settings All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd) it overrided the default reminder and worked well.

  and during the uninstallation am removing the frontend reminder of this place, but after deleting the files get "WINDOWS TRY TO CONFIGURE TESTSTAND" (see attachment) on opening the TestStand after deleting the messages callbacks.this continues until I have copy the frontend deleted in tht call fuser older.

  Why this is happening? any help to get rid of this?

  This is caused by the frontendcallbacks.seq file is missing.  The Setup program detects that a component is not properly installed (in this case, the frontendcallbacks.seq file) and attempts to repair by re-running the installer.

  However, the installation program is not properly designed to take into account your ability to edit or even delete this file.  Question #257564 was created to fix this in a future version of TestStand.  However, until the installer has been changed, the only way to avoid this is to have a file with the name frontendcallbacks.seq to this place.  I would say on uninstall handing the default file in place to avoid this problem.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

  I modified the ProcessSetup TS 4.0 reminder to perform a test of the preliminary material before testing 8 DUT using batch processing model. Since this is a reminder, the results are not registered by default, so I store it in a global table of results. Then I copy this table of results into my results MainSequence table.

  The problem is that this means that these preliminary results will be saved for UUT0 (if I use "A thread only" synchronization") or to the DUT (if I use the synchronization of batch processing model). How can I add my ProcessSetup test results to the "Results of the batch" section of the results page rather than the sections "USE results? The test checks the shared material and is thus applied to the DUT. I prefer not repeated it for each USE or make it look like, it applies only to WEAR it first.

  Al is correct that is whether you use HTML or ASCII report formats, you can override the ModifyReport... Reminders to get what you want. Unfortunately, with the XML declaration, you can use the ModifyReport... Reminders. In order to accomplish the functionality that you want to see everything and still use the report XML form, you will need to change the BatchReport reminder, as well as the XML style sheet you use.

  TestStand 4.2, we have created tutorials and provided better material for our XML Style sheets. With a little effort, I am convinced that with TestStand 4.2, you would be able to reach your goal.

  I suggest to take a look at customization of Style TestStand sheets of TestStand 4.2 help (available online). Unfortunately, Style XML TestStand 4.0 sheets do not have the same quality of literature as the TestStand 4.2 Style sheets, so you don't will not commented sections in the leaves of Style 4.0 as explained in the help.

  For this particular case, you do not want to change the reminder of BatchReport to store the data that you want to place in your report batch section. Then, you change the section batch report of the Style XML with XPath map appropriate to display these data in the batch report.

  I'm having a problem with "save for web" on a lot. I have just spent the last 2 hours searching the web and this forum and although the question is addressed, threading or suddenly go in another direction, end, or I just can't give a sense of the answers given.

  I have 350 images I want to resize the thumbnails and then save it to the web. 2 hours ago, this seemed to be a 5 minute job.

  I create an action called "batch_thumbnail" and press "Record."

  I then select 'File' > 'Open' and select an image to open the dialog box.

  I then select 'Image' > 'Image size' and resize the image to the size of the thumbnail (200 x 125) and press 'OK '.

  I then select 'File' > 'Save for Web and devices', set my optimization settings and press "Save".

  Using the dialog box that opens, I navigate to a pre-created directory called "thumbs" and press "Save".

  I then select 'File' > 'Close' and on the dialog box that opens, I select 'don't save '.

  I then stop the Save action.

  So far so good.

  I then select 'File' > 'Automaton' > 'batch... ". "and the dialog box is displayed.

  I select my action to the 'Action' of the menu drop down.

  In "Source", I put the drop down "File" menu, select "Choose" and select target directory with my 350 images in.

  First of all, unless you have a compelling reason to record a "Open" command, you should not...

  In addition, since save it for Web is an export command, THIS command is your backup... you don't want to select a destination because the destination is already stored in the save for Web.

• PRE 3 - using phone extensions for phone numbers

  Hi, I'm running a Pre3 unlocked AT & t on the Bell Canada Network and the only thing I found which range from the less on pre phone application is how are you going to enter the item numbers in the contacts application.

  With the Pre, I used p to indicate a break... hold position number would show on-screen but would not be triggered until I manually hit the number on the screen.  It was great to be able to call the office during the day (when the receptionist answers) and in the evening.  It also gives you a visual reminder so that you could ask receptionist name number rather than people of extension if you were not sure how it is pronounced.

  The Pre 3 uses a p in the phone number as a break and then automatically dials the extension number that undoubtedly angered some receptionists since I got the phone.  This function must be defined by a "t" on the pre less.

  Anyone know what to use to get the original back functionality where the extension number is shown on the screen but no composed automatically?

  'p' is now as a break (was "t", pre less 1.4.5)

  'w' is now as display extension (was 'p' on the Meadow less 1.4.5)

  Not sure why if it was modified HP would not use the standard of the industry 'x '.  Now edit the contacts of 1400.

  I use a PXI to test 6 DUT, knowing this, I wanto to use the model batch in teststand and send data to the User Interface customized using UIMessages, I pretend to not display data in 6 different (one for Mineral USE) charts, I a VI that atquires the current temperature, HAD tension, etc. What I do is to use the my VI RunState.TestSockets.MyIndex to get the current index and selection switch the apropiated chanel as (not), in fact right now I am able to send the voltage had TO or other data thoriugh a UIMessage. BUT my problem is that I am not able to send the real SocketIndex in the same UIMessage with the power to the instrument to TEST, and then this way my event reminder UserMessage can differentiate the test with his partner SocketIndex data and update the various graphics or custom indicators.

  I don't know if my explanation is clear, but I'd appreciate any help in this post, thank you.
