Just replaced my printer with a new 5530 envy.

Now, in MS Word, print preview displays the complete the content pane I want actual print is oversized, so the info is lost at the bottom right edge.  It is not WYSIWYG.  (Vertical and horzontal "rulers" in Word shows that the content is in the paper size 8.5 "X 11")

No doubt, I'm doing something stupid, but I was not able to find a cure.  I would be grateful for any help.

    Hey @repoocld,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.

It is strange that the oversized printing problem can't MS Word occasionally. Because all other programs seem to print very well I think your printer hardware and software are fine. However, there may be a problem with the printer driver which contributes to this problem. I will you perform the steps on how to add a different printer driver.

    How to add another driver:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select the devices and printers
    3. In the devices and printers folder, right click on your HP ENVY 5530 and left click on printer properties
    4. Left click on the Advanced tab
    5. Left-click on new driver
    6. When the new window driver opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    7. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    8. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    9. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next complete the new driver Wizard
    10. Under the printer properties window, select 'Apply' but do not hit OK
    11. Select the general tab
    12. Rename your printer in HP ENVY 5530
    13. Click OK
    14. Finally, right-click on your HP ENVY 5530 once more and click on Printing Preferences
    15. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    16. Left click on the drop down menu 'Normal' for quality printing at the bottom right and change its normal fast
    17. Press apply and OK
    18. Copy and paste the text in MS Word and try to print again.

Please let me know if another driver solves the oversized printing problem. Good luck!

  • Printed photo cut parts of the original photo

I use a 309 g Photosmart and find that pictures of landscapes of 4 x 6 prints from my computer don't understand all the original image. Parts of all borders (and photo) are cut. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

If you print without borders the printer will be slightly oversized printing to ensure that no white border print due to misalignment of the media.  You can adjust this in the driver, go to the "Advanced" tab, search for overspray, breaks, change and adjust the slider to the least.  Depending on your printer, you may need to set the cursor to default to prevent borders.

  • Make a 6-foot banner

Hi, first time here, I think. I'm usually on the Dreamweaver Forum.

I was hired to do an ebook cover, no problem. Then, the client wanted a poster, once again no problem. Now they want a 6-foot banner. The original photo I received is 10 "x 13", px 3000 x 4000 px, 300 dpi. My design has text on the photo, of course, that is no problem at 6 feet. I opened the PS file in Illustrator and scaled to 72 '', and it looks good on the screen. This will display 6 ft OK? Thank you.

A lot of opinions, thanks to all. I guess the safest to do thing is to communicate with the printer, if I can. I worked at of Kinko's about 10 years, and the oversized prints has been really a nightmare... They never left right the first couple tries.

  • I use Acrobat Pro on Windows 8.1 9.5.5. I can't print an oversized document.

I am trying to print a document oversized 950 mm x 2300 mm.  With the printer set to "adjust the print area" and 'oversized pages' and size ' backdrop 950 x 2300 "I get an image of the preview before printing in the printer window.»  When I click OK the recording appears.  I select the file name and location in the usual way and click OK.  The error message "the document could not be printed" appears. On the next click I get "it has not chosen to print pages".

The system works very well for standard size prints.  Indeed, I can print the oversized problem to A0.  Suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

    Sara,

I tried everything and nothing changes.  However, I stumbled upon a fix in what it prints if I reduce the resolution of 1200 to 300 (the default seems to be 1200 for some reason).  Thanks for your efforts.

    Hello

HP pads are only available in the network connection, and no USB connection.

To connect the printer to the network yoru connect it to your router wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable to any of the router LAN port, then you can activate printable HP.

You must reconfigure the printer by opening the HP Officejet Pro 8620 software, and then click the utilities tab.

Click Printer Setup and software and follow the steps to connect to a network printer.

To set a custom size support size envelope follow these steps to configure the size within the confiugration forms your system, then the size configured support will be available in the print driver.

You can follow these steps to set a medium size custo:

Note that the printer supports a size order of 76 to 216 mm (3.0 to 8.5 inches) wide and 127 to 356 mm (5.0 to 14.0 inches) long. any value higher or lower is not supported and is not listed by the print driver.

  • HP 8600 printed oversized, cut text when print ONLY internet/e-mail

Running windows vista, Firefox, Yahoo mail.  Whenever I have print something on the internet (for example, this page), the police is super big and it cuts the text to the left because it is so big.  I went to my yahoo email account, printed an email and the same thing.  The police are like 30 and it cuts the text on the left.  I printed something from word and excel, and it was beautiful.  Yesterday was fine, today it is not.  I opened e-mails that had links to maps and printed cards, so I think maybe he's changed some printer preferences?  When I go into Control Panel, properties of hp 8600, however, I don't see anything associated with something like 'shrink to fit'. Any suggestions?

    Hello

You must implement from the browser. This is for Firefox (very similar under IE and Chrome):

Right-click on print > select Print Preview

at the top you can see many options including shrink to fit, also increase/decrease %

  • ePrint does not print the deskjet 3050 a spare

I have deskjet 3050 a and unable to print attachments. text is ok but no pdf, excel, photos etc after research I know that the pdf files is not oversized.help please

Hi there, if you try to print from a laptop to the printer you need not send attachments e-mail to the e-mail address of printers, you can simply print via regular HP printer software driver. DJ 3050 has installed on the laptop? If not, here is a link to where you can download Windows 8 driver for your system, simply select the correct option (32 or 64 bit) for your operating system http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5061092&

If you want to be able to print from the laptop to the printer when the devices are not on the same network or if you do not want to install the product software, you have the option to install the software driver ePrint. This will allow you to print files from applications on your laptop (Adobe, MS Office, etc.) to your printer ePrint enabled even when they are on different networks. See this link for more information and a download link

  • DeskJet 2540 - letter size copies do not print low half inch

Setup: Deskjet 2540, Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), wireless connection

Problem: with a letter size (8 1/2 x 11) original, pressing a button on the copy translates copies that Miss the bottom 1/2 inch of the original.

If I scan the original even, save as a PDF file, then open it in Adobe Reader, then file/print prints the whole page only if I select 'Fit' or "Shrink oversized pages" (resulting in a reduced size copy) - otherwise the printed page will be still absent of the bottom 1/2 inch of the original.  Is not an acceptable workaround, because I need format copies of the original set of format letter with all the content of its original size. Isn't this possible?

The specification for the Deskjet 2540 margins are 0.57 "for Windows systems and 0.47" for Mac or Linux, see here for more information.

  • American electric plug to socket 220v overseas

I would like to know if anyone has had experience using a printer Canon (MX series) with an American electric plug overseas with an outlet 220v 60 cycles. The note on the printer says: 110-240v, 50-60 Hz and. 94A.

Thank you in advance for sharing your expertise.

Thank you very much for your answer. In fact, I made the jump and plugged the beasty. I had traded an old rope. I have four or five Canon printers, so it wasn't really a problem. It has worked flawlessly. My sweet concern related to amperage. Apparently, it wasn't a factor.

My next test will be to determine if it works as a network printer. That is to say, hookikng it to the top via a cable CAT5 and plug the correct IP address. It works well as a wireless printer, so perhaps this is "exaggerated."

    Thanks for sharing your expertise!

  • C8180 Photo printing

I have a Photosmart C8180 printer that does a good job of printing photos except that it prints an image cropped in spite of the fact that I have already cultivated the image to the exact size that paper is.  It's frustrating crop an image with adequate space around the subject and what comes out is beautifully printed junk.  Is there a rule that I should use to add to the image to compensate for the thought of Cleaver someone else?

Well, someone has determined that the image must be oversized of an amount of secrecy which must not be devulged to the ordinary people.  I printed the image with white borders and got the exact image that I see on the screen and I won't have to guess some software engineer.  Bob Headrick thanks for taking your time to try to explain the problem to me.  White borders is the new standard for me.

By choosing "without borders" print of the image is usually slightly oversized to prevent any margin oversight white (in the full print without borders) due to misalignment.  For your application, it may be preferable to choose not without borders.  If the margins are cut then select "Minimize margins" in the Advanced tab.

  • Adobe Reader XI - change default printing preferences

    Hello

When you print a document, the "Shrink oversized pages" option is selected by default.

Is it still possible to 'Real size' instead of 'Shrink oversized pages?

I searched a bit but I did not really find a solution.

Anyone know if this is possible?

    Thank you

    Gijs.

    Hi Gijs Lemahieu,

It is not possible to change the default options for the print dialog box.

However, you can try to do this by using registry keys. It can work.
