American electric plug to socket 220v overseas

I would like to know if anyone has had experience using a printer Canon (MX series) with an American electric plug overseas with an outlet 220v 60 cycles. The note on the printer says: 110-240v, 50-60 Hz and. 94A.

Thank you in advance for sharing your expertise.

Thank you very much for your answer. In fact, I made the jump and plugged the beasty. I had traded an old rope. I have four or five Canon printers, so it wasn't really a problem. It has worked flawlessly. My sweet concern related to amperage. Apparently, it wasn't a factor.

My next test will be to determine if it works as a network printer. That is to say, hookikng it to the top via a cable CAT5 and plug the correct IP address. It works well as a wireless printer, so perhaps this is "exaggerated."

Thanks for sharing your expertise!

  • Portege Z830 - effect of skin if on mains so touch the metal casing

    Hello

If I use my Z830 with the power supply to the socket (220V) and I touch the case with my hands, I feel the "electricity" with my hands.

It s an effect of skin if a current flows through the metal.
    Anyone have the same feeling.

If I remove the power supply and battery everything is fine.

Is it dangerous for the user?

    Hello

This effect is noticeable using laptop computer that supports a metal case.
This effect is known to me and I also read in other threads on this topic:
    For example:

You can use a three-pin power adapter. This would avoid this effect.

  • Adapter Qosmio F30 AC fried (burnt cables) is it the fault of notebooks?

    Laptop = Qosmio F30/695ls

I was wondering if other people have encountered this problem? Is this a fault in the design of the adapter? The adapter model number is; * PA3237U-3ACA. *.

The cord was fine until today (looked perfect) death of my laptop I thought it has not been plugged in properly checked if all parties, but each has been connected - then I noticed a melted part where wiring has been merged with plastic sheath. (just after the elbow on the wire protector which leads to the laptop leaves the ac adopter)

I would just replace it immediately if I know it's only fault the adaptors - however I am worried there is a problem with the laptop itself. In the last few weeks, I noticed a very high frequency noise coming from him. Sometimes near the back where the power cable is connected and other times near the waterfront where the battery and HARD drive are (the drive is new and only a few months old) the laptop itself is almost 3 years old bought in June 2006. I'm afraid that the AC adapter has damaged the internal power system or the internal power supply was to damage and killed the adapter? Does anyone know how to check if the laptop is damaged internally or if it's just the AC adopter? I don't want to just replace the adapter and end up frying the motherboard!

I have a second battery with a few minutes of charge, so if you need me to check anything on the laptop I can (operating system is vista)

Any ideas at all about the cause of the problem, welcome!

Oh PS. I live in Ireland, the electric current that he 220V and it is also connected to the Earth, I use an adopter plug multi protected against overvoltages.

    Hello

    > Does anyone know of a way to check if the laptop is damaged internally or if it's just the AC adopter? I don't want to just replace the adapter and end up frying the motherboard!
    You can easily test.
Simply unplug the AC adapter and check if the laptop works correctly using only the power of the battery.
Generally, the laptop can not damage the AC adapter! As far as I know technically this is not possible then I guess that your adapter is defective and must be replaced

-In my case, I installed a jdk latest software last weekend while I had the old version of the jdk (I was not aware of his presence) and that caused the problem in the end of this week.

    - So, if you install software that is already present in your system. (be it in the previous version)
    You might face this problem.

-I would suggest Microsoft; In window 8 it must be provided some warning if someone tries to install software that is already present in the system. So this problem cannot arise.

  • Photosmart C7280: the printer does not print

I have a Photosmart printer and an HP Pavilion all on a PC running windows 8.1. Recently changed service broadband provider and have had printing problems since then. I have set up the Wifi and can produce a test print, I can also print HP troubleshooting, but impossible to print whatever it be held on PC, such as documents and pictures.  I get a message saying "send to printer", but nothing happens.

I have tried setting up via a usb cable, still unable to print...  I uninstalled reinstalled the printer restarted by taking the plug from socket & crossed the HP step by step, guide, but no change.  The printer has accepted the new Wifi system & shows the logo of the Wifi on the small screen.  I even tried to print things via Adobe Photoshop, but still nothing.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Hello 643gs,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see you are having some problems printing via a wireless connection.

I have a few steps we can try.

Let's start from square one.  First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

Here is a link to the uninstaller (Windows 8).  We want to have all the software and drivers removed so that we can start fresh off.  Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.

When the computer is back on, click on the following link for the drivers and software HP Photosmart full feature.  Save this file on the desktop so that it creates a new icon.  Double-click the new icon and follow the installation instructions.  When you get to the connection options, move it to the printer and follow the next set of instructions.

On the front panel of the printer, go to the Setup menu.  Once in the configuration of the menu display on the network menu and down to the restore default network settings option.  Once the network has been restored, make the wireless configuration wizard.

When the wireless configuration wizard is complete, you should then be connected to the network and be able to see an IP address. Hover over to the computer and make the Wi - Fi connection and type the IP address that you received just from the printer.

You should now be connected and be able to print from the computer.

I would like to know if you have any questions or concerns.

    See you soon,.

My laptop is about a month and a couple of weeks he began to move to the power of the battery without reason. It goes back to food if I unplug it and plug it back, or if I take the power supply cable and put it back in. It does not help if I restart it. It happens more and more and is no longer rebascule on socket every time I have to unplug the unit. Sometimes it takes 10s of goes.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Looks like AC plug or socket is damaged.

If you see any damage, you must stop using it and have it repaired by an ASP as soon as possible.

So I assume that your laptop is still under warranty, you must send it to an ASP in any case for warranty repairs.

  • SPA3102 PSTN to voip

    Hi all
What am I supposed to hear when the SPA picks up the call?
My VOIP works and my PTSN works. Ive plugged the socket "phone" on my Fax (which is on the same phone number as adsl, and is set to 'reply' mode) 'line' on my SPA3102 and implemented according to the instructions of JMG (www.jmgtechnology.com.au/spa_3102_guide.pdf). The fax receives faxes. If I dial my phone number of voip phone attached to the rings SPA and everything is good. So: I dial the fax number, the phone in the SPA rings, then it stops. Here, I'm guessing that the SPA should have picked up the call (after the series of 5 seconds). But the phone I cling will tone, that it seems Ive been hung up on. I had once a voice saying: 'Please enter pin followed by the key voice portal sharp code', but that only happened once and the PIN that I had, I put in the SPA did not work. Is that what I'm supposed to hear? What am I supposed to hear when the SPA picks up the call?
    Thank you
    T.

On the SPA3102, if you 'Ring through line 1', Yes, an incoming call from the PSTN line rings the phone on the SPA3102 to the number of seconds defined in the PSTN answer delay setting.  After the gateway PSTN-to-voip the SPA3102 will get the call.  If you set the PIN then the gateway which will respond to the call and give you three "beeps" as a signal for you to enter a PIN.  If you have authentication set to None and the default dial plan configured to receive dialing number, you will hear a dial tone.  If you have authentication set to None, and the defined default dial plan to automatically dial a voip number that you will continue to hear ringing until the answer to the voip call.

I don't know what the impact is a device of fax on the PSTN line.

  • Printer error 7520, no code error

I have a 7520 Photosmart, installed new 10 days ago.

Apparently it does not work well, I mean it prints, copies, scans, sends and receives faxes (despite the fact that the fax test said that my line has a weak signal, which I doubt since I live 300 metres from the telephone)...

But sometimes the screen printer icons (five expires in 10 days) begin to blink and a text appears on the screen that says:

    "The printer error.

"There is a problem with the printer.

«Turn the printer off, then on.»

There is no error code, or an explanation of what causes this error. Simply by touching the switch of the printer, it isn't goin, but by itself restars and everything goes normal again... until he gets the following error again.

In any case, I continue to put off the printer, unplug the unit, wait a minute, electric plug, reconnect the printer to the power cable and turn on the printer. But the problem persists.

I would like to know what causes this error and how to prevent it from happening again, since it leaves the printer offline, and is not the expected behavior.

    Hello world

The best solution for this problem is to disable the UPnP option in your router instead of on the EWS Printers page. With the help of Steve310 & Helen we tested this scenario more than two weeks without any problem. Appreciate the time you spent with me Steve310 & Helen to investigate this matter. Have a wonderful day.

  • Reference Dell Lattitude E7240 taken helmet

    Hello

My work just gave me a Dell Lattitude E7240, which has a 3.5 mm "headphone" which I understand means it's a headphone and microphone jack combined - is this mean it works the same as the headphone jack on a mobile device? can I use the same type of helmet? If yes how to configure it? I tried but seem not to be able to get a sound.

    develop, when I plugged in my headphones, I have a pop-up asking me what kind of device I was using (headphone/speaker output / headphones and some skull candy options) so I chose "helmet";

When I check my sound settings, I see the display bar entry against the mic (Jack Mic) and when I test the sound I can see the bar moving against Realtek High Definition audio green but can't hear anything in the headset, I didn't cut off either in Audio Dell or green Windows.

advice or tips on what type of headphones that I can use and how to configure it would welcome

    Hello, sorry for the delay.

The input jack audio combo uses a helmet with a plug from SOCKET. There could be a problem with the Realtek audio driver. To check that, switch to the native Windows audio driver and connect the headset. With the native driver microphone probably won't work but the helmet definitely should, so if they aren't then there is probably a hardware problem. In this case try other headphones or headsets and if nothing works still contact tech support for a repair if still under warranty.

    To switch the drivers:

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]
