Overview of color in litters is STRANGE

Pls take a look at the image as an attachment to explain my situation.

http://imgur.com/yWfAUPs

The upper left side of the image where there should be an overview of the color that shows the changes you make went all weird.

It should look like the big main picture in the section of geometry but that's all the super extreme color and black instead.

This happened only since I've upgraded to El Capitan. V. 10.11.2

I know that the color is old and outdated, but I still some jobs that need to use it. Is this just a things prefs that went wrong or El Capitan killed color for me?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Shane

The color has been updated 5 years ago and abandoned 4 years ago. 10.6.8 was at this time he was running on the operating system.  Since it has been abandoned, each update of the operating system does not take into account, she or any other application abandoned into consideration... does not guarantee that they will work. Nor are the apps be patches to ensure they work. Each update of the OS is therefore yet another chance to break the functionality of legacy applications.  Looks like you hit the break.

I keep a MacPro tower with a 10.6.8 partition just for this reason... to work on customer projects that still require me to use FCP 7 and color and other Pro applications.

The only thing that I can suggest, if you need this work, is not a simple fix. You must back up your hard drive (it clone perhaps, to make sure that you get everything) then wipe your hard drive and install from scratch, an old, supported operating system.  If it worked in the Mavericks, maybe (it's where support stopped for me, when I used this on my laptop).  And hold. Or partition your hard drive (you can do this even if you have stuff on this subject) and install the operating system and applications on a smaller partition and keep that partition only for these applications.

Sorry, that's all I have. El Cap broke many apps... even the current versions of Premiere Pro and Avid do not work on El Cap.

  • My Adobe Flash CS6 color picker has WEIRD colors. I use Mac Mini OSX 10.8.1. Is there a solution?

    hah.jpg

    My Adobe Flash CS6 color picker has WEIRD colors. I use Mac Mini OSX 10.8.1. Is there a solution?

    I click on the color picker and where I saw the normal color #0000ff blue on my windows computer, this version of mac mountain lion shows a color purple-ish. Strangely, if I enter the # hex in the color picker and use it as a filler, the correct color appears on the scene, but when I use the pipette on that color, it shows as purple color again on the toolbar.

    I saw something similar to this happen when you use adobe photoshop. However, the usual solution is just to do the color management profile to monitor RGB. The only drawback with Flash is there is no preference to set. The palette of colors in Adobe Photoshop displays as it should with correct blue.

    I should also mention that I use a Samsung 941bw monitor with my mac mini, which could also be part of the problem.

    I thought I would make this post anyway, just in case it's the OS & Adobe Flash CS6 and not the monitor.

    I've included a screenshot over which shows that I chose the color purple and then did a form of a rectangle on the stage and it comes out blue.

    Thanks for your response (s)

  • DOC ID color prints MOST of the items in gray scale.

    Help, please.  I'm at the end of my rope.  Deadline looming.

    I have an identity document which is of all colours.  When I go to print it, no matter if it is set to the color ID management or printer color management, most of the elements of the page out in gray scale.  It is a perfect representation of the document, only in grays.  Curiously, there are elements that print in color.  Even more strange, an object from a file will be printed in the perfect color, but HAVE another object of the same file in the same doc ID will be printed grey.

    Everything is CMYK.  I even use Bridge for control of colors between the programs.  I can't understand this.

    Any advice?

    Hello

    I've been designing using doubles for a long time. However, since the series CS + 3, I'm always confused with the color of the rest of profiling.

    My problem now is that I need to send a business card to print right now, and I do not understand why the screen color in Indesign CS5 is so different from the Normal preview to preview the overprinting.

    My examples.

    My settings are:

    Adobe color settings: Noth America general purpose 2 (sync)

    iMac screen color: Adobe RGB (1998)
    Thank you.

    This has nothing to do with the color settings, although the correct screen calibration would affect the appearance. Seems very unlikely that your monitor displays Adobe RGB native, but this is probably not what you mean.

    In normal View ID simply displays the colors of each object without attempting to cope with any mix of color due to overprinting when objects overlap:

    Do you see the image in grayscale in the screenshot above?

    When you enable overprint Preview ID done his bet for you show what happens in overlapping areas:

    You now see the image in grayscale? Also look at how the overlap of the two Pantone is rendered as a darker color. Also if you look closely, you should see that the Pantone 260 framework is boring gray since it is not set for a recovery. It's what happens on the press.

  • Change the color of Clip from movie with the external Variable

    I have a movieclip in my flash file (WhiteBarMC) I want to be able to change the colors on the use of a variable (hexadecimal number) assigned from an external file. I found a script that comes close to what I want to achieve, but I don't know how to run the changes I need to make it work.

    on {(overview)
    var colorful = new color ("_root. WhiteBarMC");
    colorful.setRGB (0 x 006699);
    }

    It is narrow because it changes my object/Movie Clip on roll. BUT I have two problems...

    1) I want to set the hexadecimal color code in an external file as a flash variable retrieves and then applies to this movieclip. If it helps to explain why, it's because I have multiple variants of this swf throughout my site with a different text that just overlap the coloured bar movieclip (i.e. galleries, contacts, subject, etc.) So, with a change in an external file, I have the ability to change the color bars in the world to match the changing colors on the site.

    I created an external file ".txt" with only "myColor var = CC0033" in the file. I don't know if it's right, or even the wrong way, but I thought it help those smarter about what I'm doing.

    (2) I don't want my viewers having to "roll" to activate the change. I want it to happen during loading.

  • Satellite L10 - no DVD/MPEG/DivX playback

    I can't play a DVD or file MPEG/DivX on the Satellite L10 of my aunt. Further when you start some games, I get error messages like that Direct3D has failed. When you try to playback MPEG/DivX with WinAmp only sound can be heard but not video.

    Trying to read DVD with for example PowerDVD I got an error message (something like "mode not supported to display, please change the resolution, depth of color or frequency).
    Strangely playing DVD worked perfectly because I configured the L10 before shipping to my aunt. She has very bad computer knowledge and therefore no new drivers or anything else have been installed.

    I checked the resolution and try other resolutions and color depths, but it did not help. There must be a problem with Direct3D but I have not found where check/change the Direct3D settings. I would setup unintentionally new graphics drivers, because I know that the 'old' has worked well and the L10 is about 1500 km and I do everything with the remote control software - if something happens, we have a great difficulty.

    Hello

    Well, Microsoft DirectX is a set of technologies designed to make computers based on Windows a perfect platform for running and displaying applications rich in multimedia elements, such as color graphics, video, 3D animation and sound surround.

    You can try to check which version of DirectX is installed on your device and check if the latest version is available. I think the latest version is 9.0 c

    To start the program, please type in the dxdiag command window

  • Acer screen k272hulbmiidp gray

    Hi I'm looking for some feedback on what could be the cause of the following question on my k272hulvmiidp. When I have the monitor connected to the windows or my MacBook Pro laptop by display port, the screen will become completely grayscale except the video playing on it. Happened whenever I have play a video on youtube in 1080 p and have the video works is not in full screen. Also, this would happen when I play 1080 p inside VLC in windowed mode. The rest on the desktop windows come in levels of gray and the color video. The strange thing is that this happens in the Mac OS as well as windows 7. It must be something with the monitor, but I have no idea what setting might be causing it. The MacBook Pro is running graphic iris intel and nvidia gtx 760 mobile running laptop. Devices probably have enough energy to drive the video monitor, but I am at a loss to why the screen goes gray and video remains in color through poster port. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you. That's what was causing problems on the screen. All together now.

    This is probably a bad video chip - common if the system has a chip from nVidia.  The motherboard must be replaced.

    If you are planning keep the system including a while, consider replacing the motherboard with an Intel video credit - you will need a new heat sink (one of the nVidia GPU does not have the Intel motherboard and vice versa).

  • "Clip" correct for background with round edge

    Hi all. I'm having a problem with a round border and a round bottom. If you look at the code below, you will see that I have a border specified with a radius of 5. If I run the present, the bottom sticks outside the border. If I put also the context in which a radius of 5, it still seems wrong since the outside of the border turns to purple while I expect it to be the red light. If I change the bottom radius of 4 then the inside of the border is not quite equal to the background.

    How to define a border and just tell the background needs to be 'cut' by it?

    It's actually sort of a difficult question to answer well.

    The standard style sheet caspian.css for JavaFX 2.2 almost does not use of the borders.
    The standard controls of the Caspian have things that look like borders or edges highlighted, but they are almost always implemented by stratified environments.
    For example, a ring around a button is a blue background which is placed under the bottom of the key, making the ring to resemble a border, even if it is not.

    I don't really know why the bottom layer approach was chosen on a border + approach background. The possible reasons are:
    -It is easier.
    -its performance is superior.
    -It provides a better visual experience.
    Maybe it's one or all of the above.

    Nevertheless, I think that there was probably a good reason why the bottom layer approach has been chosen, then you would probably better stick.
    One of the advantages of this approach are there are many similar examples in the caspian.css that you can copy from and use.

    An example of string of css style for your sample using boundary layers app could be something like:

    -fx-padding: 1;  -fx-background-insets: 0, 1;  -fx-background-radius: 5, 5;  -fx-background-color: firebrick, forestgreen;

    Playing with combinations of laminates circles, padding and background-inserts you can get, borders around your controls which can be either entirely encapsulated in layout standard of your control or outside of it (like the focus ring), so that when you add something as a focus ring around your control, it is not movement of the control on the screen - it really just surrounds the control.

    An updated version of your application example that uses it is below:

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.scene.*;
    import javafx.scene.control.Label;
    import javafx.scene.layout.StackPane;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;

    public class RoundTest extends Application {
      @Override public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception {
    //    System.setProperty("prism.lcdtext", "false");
        StackPane stackPane = new StackPane();
        Scene scene = new Scene(stackPane, 500, 500, true);
        stackPane.setStyle(
            "-fx-background-color: cornsilk;"
          + " -fx-border-insets: 10;"
          + " -fx-border-color: rgba(128, 128, 128, 0.5)"
        );
        Label label = new Label("Hello");
        label.setStyle(
    //        "-fx-padding: 5;"
    //      + " -fx-background-insets: 0, 5;"
    //      + " -fx-background-radius: 5, 5;"
            "-fx-padding: 1;"
          + " -fx-background-insets: 0, 1;"
          + " -fx-background-radius: 5, 5;"
          + " -fx-background-color: firebrick, forestgreen;"
          + " -fx-text-fill: whitesmoke;"
        );
    //    label.setScaleX(5);
    //    label.setScaleY(5);
        stackPane.getChildren().add(new Group(label));
        stage.setScene(scene);
        scene.setCamera(new PerspectiveCamera());

        stage.show();
      }

      public static void main(String[] args) { launch(args); }
    }

    Now for other questions you raise:

    If I run the present, the bottom sticks outside the border

    Yes, the background properties border radius and radius are independent, so if you use a rounded edge, you must also use a rounded background or the background will extend beyond the corners of the border.

    If I put also the context in which a radius of 5, it still doesn't seem right because outside of the border turns to purple while I expect it to be the red light

    JavaFX 2.2 uses anti-aliasing just about all of it is rendered (and even something else for lcd called sub-pixel text rendered in some cases). Your edge is a single pixel wide. If the border is not exactly sitting on a pixel boundary, it will mingle in the background. Even if the sides of the border to sit exactly on the boundary of the pixel, when the border turns corners, smoothing algorithms are suddenly stirring the corner of the border and the background around the inside edge of the corner.

    You have chosen a green background and a red border. When you mix these two colors, you get purple (which is what's happening).

    I don't know of anyway to turn on or turn off rendering of smoothing for the JavaFX scene graph objects (perhaps something to do that might come along for the ride with the support of Java 8 3D scene graph).

    Regardless, you probably want to anti-aliasing for your rendering anyway. If you develop your application, knowing that anti-aliasing will happen. To do this, choose colors that marry well when anti-aliasing. Caspian done by deriving a lot of foreign background colors inner background colors (i.e. any relief or darkening of the border). It works well because they have the same mix of basic RGB, just in different portions component, so anti-aliasing mixes seamlessly. Full of choice colors at opposite ends of the RGB Spectrum as red and blue translates jarring mixtures as violet. Even if anti-aliasing is not in question, your eyes can play you tricks and have trouble seeing clearly the boundary between this kind of colors due to the strange optics of the eyes.

    Another strategy to alleviate the nasty mix is to use more pixels, for example instead of a one pixel border, use a border of two pixels - mixture of anti-aliasing will be much less noticeable. Using the strategy of greater pixel works very well in conjunction with the new screens of higher resolution (the so-called retina displays), where the pixels themselves are so small that the human eye is unable to distinguish the pixels and how they blend together.

    All that being said - your original example with rounded edges and bottom doesn't look too bad to me :-)

    -------------

    Another question that I fell on during the test, it is that there is a css attribute - fx-border-style, that can have the values of centered, inside and outside, and when I tried to put I got messages like:

    WARNING: declaration of com.sun.javafx.css.parser.CSSParser style of analysis error CSS online ' - fx - padding: 1; -fx-background-inserts: 0, 1; -fx-background-RADIUS: 5, 5; -fx-background-color: brick refractories, forestgreen; -fx-border-style: inside; -fx-text-fill: whitesmoke;' of javafx.scene.Node$22@1bd5d8ab: not supported the of 'inside' when parsing "border - fx - style' to [1 138].

    The css reference note to guide the border feature copy of the w3c background and border features, but there is no nut, silverside, border style centered in the w3c css reference, so I guess that there is a mistake in the JavaFX 2 css documentation it around which is taken in charge and what is implemented of the w3c css reference. Note that I'm not really that JavaFX css processing must correspond to the reference of css of w3c that I find the system complicated and difficult to understand w3c.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/JavaFX/2/API/JavaFX/scene/doc-files/cssref.html#region
    http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS3-background/#border-style

    Perhaps as borders in css do not seem to be used much in JavaFX, the issue of documentation is not such a big.

  • Overview unwantedly convert a color to transparent (!)

    Hello

    I use a snippet to open png files and save them to gif format (to reduce the size of the file).

    The files are a book cover, including an orange background, with red, white and dark gray text and graphics (curves).

    Yesterday, it worked well.

    Today when I save as gif red color in the image disappears. I guess that it is transformed into Transparent. I see where the red text and graphic lines were is the background orange.

    Preview was not doing this yesterday.

    Today it is the same on the png files that I created yesterday, so I'm sure that change is in the preview, not Inkscape (which I used to create the PNG).

    I do not use the lasso or other tool to select all areas of the picture and enable transparency.

    I open the image, choose the export file to gif format and with the box checked and checked alpha, the color red is disappearing and I don't want it.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Overview 8.1 (877.7)

    10.11.6 OSX

    Thank you.

    Do not use the gif. It is an older format, limited to 256 colors. It is quite insufficient for most uses (with the exception perhaps of dubious of these short "animations").

    One of the unique features of gif should have 'transparency' - but which has been achieved by stipulating a particular table as color being transparent (and not, as in modern formats, by adding a fourth channel, called "alpha channel" to the series of red, green and blue).

    Somehow the red in your translation got to be designated 'transparent color '.

    If you want to reduce the size of the file, try saving to jpeg and quality change to achieve a good balance between size and quality.
