  Check your Options bar.  You have the opacity set to 10%.  Easy to do.  Just hit the 1 key while the gradient tool is selected, and it's done. By pressing the 0 key will take you back to 100%

• How to change the gray and white checkerboard background to white?

  I was working on a card with a score of layers. The layers were all fair paths with a white background and I wrote the names of street on them. Just cut and paste, I hit something on the keyboard as now all the origins of the layers of gray and white checkerboard background (which might have something to do transparency, I'm not sure...). I'm not sure what I pressed on, and I'm trying to get the background to white for all layers instead of the checkered gray and white boxes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

• Cannot display images in browsers - diagonal stripes of gray and white

  Some of our users reported issues where they cannot see the images on websites in any browser (firefox, chrome or ie).

  All they can see are gray and white stripes diagonals, in the area where the image should be. Web pages are fine as I can visualize without problems on other computers running the same software. I suspect this is due to an update of windows as this problem seems to be that slowly moves through our network.

  ·         Is the problem only with browsers or other applications?

  ·         The computer is on a domain network?

  ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Since then, each pdf document open to one-and-white-grid-bottom appers gray (see figure below).  Normally, I'd expect a white background, which I get under this power only, if I change the background manually to white.   Had this same problem for about a month. Tried to get the Genius Bar to replace the phone, but it was out of warranty. Cracked, it opens and when looking at phone from there is a chip near top right corner connected with Ribbon on the touchscreen cable. Tighten the screws on the chip in it and it works without problem since a few days now.  Hope it lasts until September.

  Is it possible to use a mask with a gradient to mix the two? Not a gradient on the whole picture, but only on the bottom?

  I think that's what I'm asking: how to apply a gradient to a layer mask so that it influences only the mask and not the entire photo?

  If there is a better way for me to ask the question, I would like to know the terminology.

  To change your picture as below;

  a: I created a new layer and use the tool degraded with forefront and background colors picked on your wall floor and to. This has created a gradient using your background color. Note the gradient does not top down but a little more the third middle.

  b. I created a layer on this new layer mask to reveal everything, but then set a black white gradient at the bottom, just so that the shadow detail would come by

  c. I made a selection of the box then on the gradient layer mask - filled that black - so that the box appeared.

• Overview of the issues when exporting pdf from InDesign

  I'm working on PC, Windows 7, InDesign of CS5. I had several problems with executives of color filled not appearing is not in the preview of an exported pdf file, different file, same problem. The files 'prints' very well. For example, I have a page that contains a logo, two lines of text in the Arial font, two photo .jpg (CMYK) and a background color solid process. When I export to PDF (I tried all the options available to me) the colorful background does not appear in the preview. I can send this file to the printer and it prints exactly as set upward in InDesign. I also systematically deleted each item separately and re-exported the same results each time. I even deleted everything on the page with just the colorful box. Same result. I did drag the elements on a page in a new document. Same result.

  Thoughts? Does anyone else know this? I looked for further discussions on this topic, but couldn't find one just like her.
