P1102w: Air Print

Hello

I'm new to this forum and please forgive me if I break some rules, but I'm in a hurry...

I just get my new LaserJet Pro P1102w printer, and it is AMAZING!

But I have some problems with the connection to AirPrint (iPhone 5 / 8.1.2 software)

I know this isn't wireless problem because it is connected to my 2 computers laptops (Win 7 and Win 8.1) and my smartphone Nexus 4.

I tried everything but no luck with the connection, I can't find the printer tab AirPrint

Each tip would be great!

Thank you

See you soon

  • HP laserjet pro M1536dnf wireless configuration in order to use Air printing

Since I am trying to print from my new Ipad Air, excuse my newbie questions for networking printing!

    What I know so far:

    1. I understand my printer HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'not' a WiFi printer.

2 by HP support and Apple Support web sites, my printer HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'Air Print' active. I guess that a certain update must incorporated the Betacam Air Print!

    3. According to the web site of the HP Support, I have currently the latest firmware installed (20130815).

Note: On my Config report, it shows the status for IPv4 and IPv6 as "network cable unplugged". I have the address IP Show as active.

    3. my home configuration has the internet cable from my modem cable to my router wireless Linkys E3200 via a coaxial cable. Between my router and my computer is connected through the Ethernet cable. My printer HP Laserjet 1536dnf printer is connected to my computer via a USB cable.

    Issues related to the:

    1. go to after I saw and read about on-line, is correct to say "I'll have to change my Ethernet cable from the router to the computer and change it to leave the router to the Ethernet port on the printer?"

    2. do I have to remove the USB from the printer to the computer?

    3. by removing the USB cable between the printer and the computer, how my computer would communicate to the printer to perform a print job? Unless, I suppose, I add another Ethernet cable between the router and the ethernet port on my computer!

4 other advice, I might have missed?

    @RicharddR

Thanks for your post on the forums of hp.com. Here are answers to your specific questions:

    1. you must have all your devices on the same cable modem network: computer, printer, mobile devices. Looks like your Setup is similar to mine. I have mine with the modem installation cable to my Cisco router that broadcast wireless signal. Then I have my devices on this router (computer, printer, mobile devices).

    2. If you use Airprint, you put your printer on a network or wireless. Since your printer is a model of dnf (D - duplex, n = network, f = fax), you must use a network cable and add it to your router. AirPrint is not supported via the USB port.

    3. If you remove the USB cable between the printer and the computer, you need to add your computer to the same network as your added to the printer. You can either do this via the ethernet cable or wireless depending on the capacities of the router and the computer. The important thing is that all the devices are on the same network.

    4. for other tips: make sure everything (computer, printer, router, mobile devices, etc.) are on the same network, otherwise you will not be able to print or have communication problems such as print jobs do not print.

    Good luck.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a: HP Officejet 6500 a and Air Print

I use HP OfficeJet 6500 has connected to my network.  Works very well.  It is also implemented and works with ePrint via email address.

Now, I'm trying to get my iPad and iPhone to print via Air Print, but they will not find the printer.  All products are up to date.

    (1) is the printer must be in wireless mode for direct connection to Apple products instead of via the router and not through the wired connection?

    (2) it seems that this 6500 a has any ability to woreless when I unplug the ethernet cable, even if the guide and the sites Internet says that she is supposed to have wireless capability.  No Option in the Network Setup menu to enable or disable wireless.

    Hello

Must be connected to the same network, as long as it's the network of sae, an ethernet cable should work.

AirPrint is based on good morning, requiring your router to support the transfer of Multicast packets in order to establish such a link.

There are routers that does not support multicast or can with this support, disabled by default, the router is most likely the cause of forums,

If please specify your router brand and model to better understand any possible cause.

  • How to get P1102w wireless printing

I gave up trying to get my LaserJet P1102w to print wireless. I tried for hours and hours of troubleshooting and reinstalling.

I just shared and will print like this.

How to turn off the wireless feature? I can connect to the web interface with the wired office, but I can not find what setting I can disable.

EDIT: I saw online a reference to the guidelines simply press the wireless button. I did, but then print a configuration page, which still gives a printer IP address that was not 0.0.0.0, so I can only assume that this printer always broadcast a wireless signal.

    HP LaserJet p1102w

    Hi @paulri ,

I see by your post that you want to disable the wireless on the printer. I would like to help you today.

I believe that the steps that you have already done, turned off the wireless on the printer.

To power off the printer wireless. This information is provided by the manual on page 27. Laserjet P1102w.

    1. on the product control panel, press and hold the button wireless for more than 5 seconds.
    2. to confirm that the wireless device is turned off, print a configuration page and verify that the
product IP address is specified as 0.0.0.0 on the configuration page.

I'd love to help you set up the printer on the wireless network, if you want one more go home.

I just need to know what operating system are you on and if the printer software is fully installed by a USB connection and you are able to print this way. The name of the network cannot have special characters or symbols in order to connect to your network.

    Let me know.

    Thank you.

I did an update earlier this year and the impression of Air was not there.  See Office for Mac not choose for the question. Thanks for your help.

  • HP Laserjet Pro P1102w printer: HP P1102w wireless printer will not pair with a SBG6782-AC Motorola Wireless Cable Modem Gateway

I already had Internet AT & T U-verse using a Wireless Modem Arris IPDSL NVG510 gateway.  My laptop HP running Windows 8.1 and the HP LasrJet Pro P1102w wireless Prnter systematically and automatically connected to the wireless network NVG510 with no problems over the past two years and the wireless printer works without problem.

I recently replaced the Internet AT & T U-verse connection a connection of Mbs Comcast Xfinity Intrnet 25, using a Motorola Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.   My HP under Win 8.1 Pro laptop connects to the network and access to Internet without any problems what-so-ever.  However, the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wireless printer connects to the wireless network and I can't print at all from my laptop.

I tried all the suggestions P1102w Wireless Configuration of the printer on the HP printer Support Site, but nothing helped.  I've also updated the firmware of the printer and Loaded the latest driver Installation & full product software.  I tried and re-tried these suggestions over the past two days, but without success.

I would be very appreciately all help experts in this Forum.  to get the printer working wirelessly, since we also wireless print to this printer of IPads and other wireless laptops.

    Hi @Atmasin,

I see that you have trouble connecting the printer to the new router. I want to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
    Print a Configuration Page.

If the network name has spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.

The printer is able to send/receive in the 2.4 ghz band.

If it is set to 5 GHZ network, you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or turn it off)

The WPA key setting must be on AES to work properly not TKIP.

    Multi flow must be enabled.
Router firewall must be open for printer ports.
If you have Mac filtering give you printer hardware to meet the needs of the Configuration page.

You may need to contact your router company to get help to check these settings.

Try to run the Configuration Wizard wireless of the HP software to set up the printer on the network.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below.

If you have any questions, please let me know what steps you have taken and the results. Thank you.

  • iPad2 air print can't find printer HP7500A

My air iPad2 impression can't find the printer HP7500A.  Two iPad2 and printer on my wireless Netgear N750.  Web site HP7500A has identified that the 7500 a does support air print.  Turned on the printer and the router (On and Off), but still the iPad can not find the 7500 printer.  Search the web site, but helps to solve my problem.

Thanks for all your suggestions.  Today, I took my iPad2 at the Apple store to check the latest version of the operating system software. Everything was up to date.  I checked the HP7500A touchscreen and selected the web option.  Wow, the printing software must be upgraded.  After the upgrade of the printer, the iPad2 did find the HP7500A under Air Print printer.  Everything works.

  • iPhone on air print work and no ipad

iPhone on air print work and not the ipad?  any suggestion?

You mentioned a device works and the other does not. The first thing you want to do is to determine what is different between the two devices. Both are on the same network with success? The other device has already worked, or have been updated recently performed at what caused this?

To really help I would need details as what model of printer you have, what model of router you have, what version of iOS is installed on your device and what version of each device you have (iphone 4 or 5, ipad, ipad 2, etc.).

  • HP P1102W WIRELESS PRINTING HAS STOPPED WORKING

Our P1102W lost the wi - fi connection and we cannot get it back.  Seems to be a printer WiFi issue.

It is one of two HP printers (other is a 5510) using a wifi network at home (WPA2, w/password), accessible by a Dell laptop and an Apple MacBook AIr (mines).  Two computers can access the 5510.  Both lost the P1102W.

The blue network on the P1102W is no longer regularly lights up.  By pressing the button on the P1102W wireless accomplishes nothing.  Electric bike achieves nothing (but used).  Moving the printer does not help.  P1102w works fine on USB key.

We tried to reset the Modem and the router. No change.

We have reinstalled the software. No change.

    Hi @maddog8212 ,

I see that you have lost connection with the P1102w wireless. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Plug the USB cable from the printer to the computer.

I have provided Windows and Mac steps, you can choose how you want to set up the printer again.

    Windows as follows:

Run the Wireless Setup to set up the printer on the network again.

Go to start, all programs, HP, HP Laserjet P1102w, then select Wireless Network Configuration.

    Steps to configure the wireless.

    Then, unplug the USB cable.

    Test the printer.

Mac as follows: (since you mentioned that you had the HTML option for your Mac)

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. (sometimes the SAP will not open if it is not set by default)

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu bar, click Go, computer, MAC hard drive, library, Printers, HP, LaserJet, click the folder for your printer, click browser EWS or HTML config, it should open the webserver integrated for the printer to set up the wireless, and then click the network tab, click on wireless on the left and fill out your information. (be sure to infrastructure is selected and alpha or numeric is selected) Apply the settings.

You should get a solid blue light on the printer in 1 minute about.

Remove the USB driver, then add the network printer:

    Click on the Apple.
    Click on System Preferences.

    Click the printing and scanning.

Select the printer, and then click the sign - to remove the printer. (USB driver)

    Unplug the USB cable.

Then click on the + sign and select the printer from the list and click Add. (Hello P1102w)

    Try to print.

If you have run Setup for the wireless again on Mac in the first place, on the Windows computer, simply create a new port.

Go to start, devices and printers, click right on the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the ports tab.

Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
