  Hi all

  I have a strange problem with my all-in-One HP 4625 printer newly acquired.

  Problem: Printer is no longer available for regular printing on a daily basis.

  Description: Every morning, when I try to print a regular document of any application on my laptop, I get an error message: "unable to communicate with the printer.

  

  I am able to print from my account ePrint (e.g. by Nathaniel a mail to the printer).

  I am also able to ping the printer, access SAP and communicate with the printer, the integrated Web server shows the status of the printer as "ready"... but the 'regular' file-> print does not work.

  Network configuration: 802.11 g open wireless router (3com), 2 laptops running W7.

  HP Print and Scan doctor said that everything is okay, but the print test page fails with the error message

  Is the 4625 using CAP1FN1240AR firmware.

  Set a static IP address on the 4625 outside the 3com DHCP range.

• Multi-user, same computer, printing problems - I can, my wife can not

  I bought a HP Photosmart 6520 yesterday to replace a 6510.  I could get installed it on my computer at home.  However, it does work when I am connected to the computer.  My wife uses this computer more than I do, and when it is connected to the computer with its own credentials that she cannot print anything.  What are we doing to ensure that all users can print (also two grown children who use it occasionally)?

  My guess would be the security settings.  If you use Windows 7 do the following: log in as a user with administrative capabilities.  Click on start, devices and printers.  Right-click on the Photosmart 6520, select printer properties, security.  Click on everyone and click on checkboxes to allow to print, manage this printer and manage documents, apply.

  For other Windows systems, procedures would be similar.

  I recently bought a Canon SX280HS that has possibilities of wifi, and I'm having a problem connecting to my laptop.     I use a laptop Dell Inspiron N7110 running Windows 7 (64-bit).   It connects to the internet and a printer wireless via a pretty new without and problems at all Netgear wifi router.    This laptop also has Intel (R) My Wifi Technology, and I can access the utility to it via the control panel.

  After installing wifi set up the software provided with the camera, I first tried to connect the camera via the Netgear router.   After putting in the correct encryption key (I did this many, many times), he search the device, but it is never and eventually times out with a "communication error" and "device not found."

  I was ready to return the camera to Amazon...

  But then I tried to connect the camera using the Intel(r) my Wifi utility.   I activated the technology, put in the correct encryption key, and the cannon appears on the users list, showing its MAC address and a wifi signal strong.   The camera then sees the name of my Dell laptop, but when I try to connect it, all I get is 'connection '.  Finally, it ends with a "communication error" and "connection failed."

  At this point, I find the wifi on the camera works properly because it clearly links to the Intel(r) my Wifi on my laptop.

  Can someone tell me how to configure my laptop to allow the rest of the connection?     Oh, I tried this many times with my anti-virus IT and OFF and my firewall ON and OFF, and it does make a difference.

  Had the same problem with the same device under Windows. For me, I fixed it by going to control panel > network and sharing Center > view network computers and devices (this, while the camera tries to connect to your PC. I then click with the right button on my camera icon and click "install". Also, make sure that 'file and printer sharing' are on (my PC actually invited this). Don't know if this will help, but worked for me. Can now import wireless!

  I have a HP printer, printing of MYOB via terminal server on a Server 2003-based computer. Previously, I had the printer installed under different names, i.e. statement, invoice & delivery notes. Each instance corresponded to a different tray for printing. I have now lost the ability to use separate trays. Whenever I feel it comes back to "auto-select" I have three shared printers on the Server Desktop XP pro SP3 & can be printed on one or the other. Just can't hold the tray settings more.   Sorry to hear that you are experiencing printing problems.

  Looks like you have problems multiple) a printer goes offline and then b) you can not access the IP address of the printer and c) you get an error saying 'Inaccessible device.'

  What is the Mac version that you use to configure the printer? You're on a VPN or proxy?  Is the printer on the same network as the computer?  You have blinking lights on the printer?

  Here is a very comprehensive document that covers everything you need to do to get the configuration of the printer.  I recommend restoring the printer by default and then try to connect again.  Page 76 of the User Guide talks about what to do if you are unable to access the built-in web server

I have a dell laptop and a Dell V510 printer can print via USB and WiFi connection.  I can print one document and have no problem.  When I try to print a second thing, whatever it is, it won't print... When I opened my printer dialog window it shows it is printing, but does not print... He keeps saying that it is printing until I restart my PC.  I can try to cancel printing or to delete and it will say delete but never remove... I deleted a doc Friday, he said it was delete the print job and I watched the next day and it still says it has been delete... I can't understand why I can print only one thing and then my not ever printed anything again until I reboot... I ran convenience store and it does not find problems... someone said something about a coil problem but I don't know... Please help.

  In the latest batch of updates to Windows, Microsoft has installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 caused printer problems.

  Open Internet Explorer, click on help, then click about words of Internet Explorer. It should show the version here. If you IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, updates installed, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.

  Restart the computer when you are prompted. Then see if your printer works.
