Hello

  1. You are going to need a bigger power supply.  I suggest that consider you a 600 watts as the Corsair CX600 model.
  2. NVIDIA GTX 580 is known to have problems. Do some internet research.
  3. Consult this publication of the article.  Open your PC and do a step inside.
  4. Single graphics card will work.

  • NVIDIA Gtx 650 ti boost vs Nvidia Gtx 580

    Hello world

I have a difficult question on nvidia gtx video cards.

The nvidia gtx 650 ti boost adeguate is for editing video in full HD with Premiere Pro Cs6?

I chose this video card, because the price is very interesting: 'only' €150 (more or less)

Another question: is it sparkly for editing sporadically After Effects Cs6 of Pentecost?

I compared the 650 gtx ti boost with the gtx 580. The second is more powerful, but the price is €450 (more or less). I found the gtx 580 used at €200.

Question: What is the best choice? GTX 650 ti new boost or gtx 580 used (and perhaps overclocked)?

    Thank you.

Yes, but not only the CPU, it will be the processor, the memory and the disk (s) that will be the bottleneck. The 580 will be idle most of the time since the rest cannot follow.

  • GTX 580 3 GB or GTX 680 2GB

Hello everyone, I have a question.

I recently built an x 79 sys 3930 k, I bought an EVGA gtx 580 3 GB for the EMT PP... EVGA offers a step-up program for 90 days I can identify a better card. I just bought the card March 3, so I have a few more months. However, I walked in their for a step-up to the 680 2 GB gtx for the place in Cuda Cores... but because I've learned a few videos is Adobe After Effects will use all the VRAM (3 GB for my 580) and get a sorta performance increase? Can someone explain to me what I would be missing

ranging up to 2 GB 3 GB of video memory... Can I cancel my Step Up and pull together again for 2 months more... to see if the EVGA offers the 4 GB, at that time version here. At that moment I would enter again them step up program and upgrade to the 680 4 GB gtx... because it is I pay only shipping (8.40) for jumping to the 680 2GB, 4 GB version might cost a little more ($50-100) what the devil do... Although I do not have consequences at the moment I expect heavy-duty... I'm not worried to apply the hack for the 680...

Difficult question right now. It depends on a number of things. What type of material edit you? If it includes RED 4 K or 5 K EPIC, I would certainly wait for version 4 GB, but if you do this regularly, or only in small amounts, then the 2 GB version may be sufficient. The 680 GTX of course has the advantage of being PCIe 3.0, which can be put to good use on your 2011 platform and is supported by three or four monitors, something can't make the 580. If the 680 will be faster than the 580 with 3 GB remains to be seen. CUDA cores has tripled, but the memory bus went from 384 to 256 bits, and unclear yet what impact that will have on performance.

A second thing to consider is your destination AE, which you say will be heavy in the future. LLE done that After Effects can use several graphics processors for CUDA computation (for rendering 3D traced the beam engine) makes use of some sensible GPU configurations that may have been a waste for Premiere Pro.

IMO, you have the following options, including the announced but not yet available version 4 GB of the 680:

1 stick to the 580, but add a 560 Ti for AE and direction a third monitor.

    2. raise the 680 2 GB for the direction of a third monitor, but with the risk of running out of VRAM with RED material or EPIC and, hence, reduction only in software mode.

3 raise the 680 4 GB for management a third monitor without risk of tipping in software mode.

    4. take a bet that the 685/690 with a 384 bits memory bus may be announced in the near future (unlikely).

The problem is that TSMC, the provider of the nVidia 28 nm chips has requirements to encounter serious difficulties for these chips. See http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20120405PD218.html

  • GeForce gtx 580

Hello. I, m looking to buy a Geforce gtx 580 for PP CS5.5.   Searching the Web I came across several "brands" of the same card PNY, Palit, Zotac, EVGA etc. Are they all the same cards? Are little better than the other? Any help would be appreciated.

My two favorite sellers are EVGA and PNY.  I have some better both.but the first thing I would do is check the warranty.  Also note the amount of video memory if you use large heights more memory can help.  Not to pay extra for a more clocked (sometimes called super clocked) edge, that it will not do you any good first.  Notice Newegg here you have a choice of 19 different versions.  Some of them are already signs all rebates and discounts.  Be aware that in a few months there will be a new series that will replace essential GTX 5xx series, it will be the 7xx GTX series.   At this point in time, there will be some significant reductions in the current 5xx series and (probably) faster new boards to consider.

  • MPE problem with gtx 580

Hi, I have a weird problem with my first. I the maximum permissible error material value, but it doesn't seem to be something, and the gpu left unused too.

I don't think its something to do with the parties, but my pc is:
    I7 970 4.3 GHz

    12 GB of ddr3 memory

    GTX 580 3 GB

    128ssd 500mbps r/w with enough space

I can't understand why its been nothing. can anyone help? Thank you.

When you use two monitors Windows Aero can perform playback in real time. I think that there is a message or a thread about tweaking your system to use the PP but I do not know the url of a link. Could someone post the link for you.

  • I can not activate NVIDIA GTX 580 FIRST

    Hello

    I have adobe CS5 FIRST. I bought a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 580.

When I make new project, in the option of video rendering and playback, it seems Mercury Playback Engine Software only, and I can't change that, it's blurred, button.

    Can someone help me?

In Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.

Open the file "cuda_supported_cards.txt" with Notepad.

Add a line of text "GeForce GTX 580" exactly as written here, but without the quotes.

Save the file and open it PR. made.

  • PremPro CS5 stopped using my GTX 580 to make, why?

A project of PremPro CS5 using the GTX 580 to make good (to get the gold) now stopped using it (just get the red bar).

The window in the section 'Record and playback' project settings under "makes:" will not allow a selection and shows that

'Mecury engine software to read only' as deselected but difficult to read in the selection window. "Advanced graphical Tuning" EVGA monitor shows the 580 working. In Control Panel, the PhysX processor is also set to "GeForce GTX 580."

How can I get the 580 again makes?

Did you only an update for first?   You need to redo the 'hack '.

  • NVIDIA GTX 580

    Hello

    Hope all is well,

  • Your opinion about decide is it a GTX 560, 570, 580 or 590 card to buy.

    Hi all

I read a few posts on the CS5 compatible current maps, but I still have an ew issues before deciding what to buy.  I want to make sure that I get the good card (s) first.  I have a W7 x 64 processors i7920 with 12 GB of ram ddr3.

I do mainly industrial videos with 2 to 5 in most video layers and some boris Red 5 effects and transitions. I like to use the movement and shadows on the insert images and text.  I also do a little animation 3D using Lightwave 3D.

My question is on what graphics card be more appropreate for this kind of work allowing me to make me insights quickly and play the timeline in real time or near real time.

Would one or two GTX 560, 570, 580 or 590 suffice or do I need something more powerful?

    Thank you.

I can't provide to associated Adobe specs, but here:

    http://www.hwcompare.com/9133/GeForce-GTX-560-TI-vs-GeForce-GTX-580/

The 580 will certainly give better performance, but the 560 will be more effective. If you can afford it, go 580.

    I have a HP H9-1060sc

And my problem is I like to define a new map Grafik a PNY GTX 780 map

I disassembled all Nvidia GTX 580 Drivers to remove programs

Close the bottom of the PC

Located in the new 780 GTX

Start the PC and they are always on the start screen (blue screen HP) after 30 sec 1 BIB

    And nothing happens after.

If I try to load mode safe same problem is I put the old card in the trunk of PC like a charm...

    I need help here :-)

    Makeway salvation,

I see that you are having some problems, install the new graphics card. I did some research and discovered that the new graphics card requires a slot PCI Express 3.0, but the motherboard of your computer has only slots PCI Express 1.0. I've included the specifications for both below. It shows under the expansion for the motherboard slot, PCI Express x 16 and PCI Express x 1 which means that it is only 1.0. Unfortunately, this card is not compatible with your computer.

  • 2GB GDDR EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW? I can do better for $150?

I have a Geforce GTX 460 old but reliable. A beautiful card that has kept me during four years. But it didn't really hurt with the DSLR images and QT 1080 p high sampling rates. I don't like having to drop to 1/2 or even 1/4 resolution when editing so... Maybe I need a boost.

I hooked an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 3 GB for less than $95, but it arrived today via UPS in a box of crushed. Needless to say that UPS requires a refund to the seller.

So I looked at the 2 GB EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW. $150 at Amazon. Looks like I might have a few good bang by puck and an improvement over my current GTX460 which is only 1 GB memory GDDR5 256 - Bit. It is not at rest and performs better than many maps of the time, but I know I can do better.

As a palliative for the next 6 to 8 months, what do you think of switching to the GTX 750 Ti FTW? There are already some time I researched maps and not sure, given the choice.

We got $150 new and I love this thing what we called a guarantee but I'm open to suggestions.

I have an ASUS Z97Pro Wifi USB3.1 mb, Intel Core i7 - 4790K Quad - Core 4 GHz cpu, and 16 GB of DDR3. Windows 7 pro 64 installed on a new Samsung 850 Pro SSD (boy is fast).

Huge case Phanteks Enthoo white Pro. Thanks in advance!

the gtx 580 would have been about 2 x faster than the gtx 460. the ti 750 gtx is somewhere between those of speed. If you want to buy a new one, are looking for a ti 750 gtx near $130 or gtx 960 around $200. the 960 gtx is still faster than the gtx 580. If you want to try to buy new used, try to find a gtx 570 or above for about $100.

  • acceleration of GTX 980

I've just updated my gtx 580 to the 980 gtx video card so that I can use a ultra screen of LG.  First pro CS6 puffs of heat now a message that the GPU acceleration is not supported.  (rendering seems to take more time that he did with the gtx 580, also, although I don't have the numbers to support that impression).  y at - it a update/update available which allows the GPU acceleration with the gtx 980 in first?  Thank you.

You need to hack the card by removing the support for Cuda Card.txt from the root file.

  • First Pro CS6 and GTX 680

I recently updated my video card to a GTX 580 to a GTX 680. Initially, PP did not recognize the card and I had to add it manually to the config (?).

My problem is that PP CS6 very poor use of my new card. My render times are slower than before. When I check the use of the GPU, it keeps jumping up and down. It never reaches more than 40% weird.

    I'm doing something wrong?

The 680 GTX is a Kepler-class card. As you have noted, this isn't a card that uses Premiere Pro CS6 for GPU acceleration. You applied a hack to run as until now is, but be aware that there work additional actually engineering/development to do on our side to make this card works with Premiere Pro.

I won't comment on when or if that the work will be done, but I can point to the fact that After Effects has received an update the month last to use the Kepler maps:

    dded-GPU-and-3D-Renderer-support.html http://blogs.adobe.com/toddkopriva/2012/05/After-Effects-CS6-11-0-1-Update-bug-fixes-and-a

You might be able to make a few assumptions about Premiere Pro based on this fact.
