p6510f replacement cpu

I got a p6510f side of free of charge without a processor.  Slapped xfx 6870 dual fan, earthwatts 650 PSU, added a few new case fans (which is a vantec tornado). Then and then I need a processor. After reviewing the original II x 4 630 documentation was 95w and the Board supports up to 125w. My question here is 955 (exact price same as the 630 right now in my town) will work, because I do not need a bios flash, since the computer I have later.

Hello

I noticed that HP Partsurfer shows only 95 watts as replacement processors processors.

You will have a reasonable chance of getting one of these processors AMD AM3 nested 95 watt to the work which lies in upgrading processors listed by HP.

AM3 Sockets have been known to have an excellent compatible with AMD processors.  Some of the top processors might still work but know what's the return policy before buying anything.

Yes, I have read the info on not support replacing the CPU in Toshiba laptops and suggesting to change/add/replace only dvd, the memory RAM or HD disc burners.

My question is: is it possible to put a better processor in my laptop (chipset supports a lot) or is the computer limited by the BIOS (version 2.10) to not support that the CPU came with the laptop?

I tried to replace my i3 330M with i5 480M and i5 540 M, but the computer does not even start (not even BIOS, not even the screen).

Is there no work around to make it work with another processor chipset and support?

Would be very grateful for any help in this matter
    Greetings from the Poland

    > My question is: is it possible to put a better processor in my laptop (chipset supports a lot) or is the computer limited by the BIOS (version 2.10) to not support that the CPU came with the laptop?

The CPU usage may be limited by the BIOS too, but it would also be possible that laptop would be in relation to other processors supported by the chipset. This info isn't provided on pages notebook manufacturer because as you know upgrade CPU is definitely not supported.

However, I found the ARK chipset page and details on processors supported by the chipset
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/43183/Intel-bd82hm55-PCH

I think you have a good chance to get the laptop running with processors listed on the Intel site, but of course, it s just my personal opinion.

    > Is there no work around to make it work with another processor chipset and support?
There is no other alternative workarounds or updates... either the laptop would go with CPU new or not, and it's your risk and peril :(

  • HPE - 590t: Suggestions for replacement CPU Cooler & case fan

    Hi all

I would like to replace the fan in my HPE - 590 t.  Recently, he made loud noises and yesterday it sounded like a car was at my house with the idling of the maximum RPM.

I know that some have recommended the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO in previous threads, however I have some concerns regarding this cooler would fit in my case, as it seems that I have about 1.5 inches of space to the left of the cooler and about 1' of headroom above the stock cooler.

Here are the specs for my motherboard.

I have a case of average size, I would be grateful any recommendation for the appropriate CPU cooler.

Ideally, I'd like something that could last another two years and be as quiet as possible.

HP DV9310 Windows 7 Professional 4 GB RAM

    DV7t-6100 Windows 7 Pro 8 GB RAM

    Ruette,

I wanted to let you know that you were right about the question of the back plate on the motherboard.   I decided to order the aftermarket cooler that I mentioned, and when I went to install it, it appeared to be welded directly on the motherboard.  I was puzzled because I've never seen such a design.

Because I could not remove the back plate, I couldn't install the new heatsink.

Being faced with the choice of either ordering a heat sink used as you have suggested to the origin or the HP part since the website claiming to sell the stock heatsink heat, I decided to remove my HP Elite system and build a custom system.

I built a new system with a motherboard MSI Gaming 5 and 4790 k i7 processor and used the ram, power supply, SSD, GTX 750 ti and other components in my system HP Elite for my new build. All these elements I just mentioned were anyway under a year of age.  Of course, I had to spend money on a Windows 7 operating system at retail, but also a new case, but overall it was worth the money. I also think that in the end I started to the cultivate my HP and it was just time for me to upgrade.  Now, that I'll stay with custom desktops built and stay away with OEM computers due to the unusual limitations that the OEM wants to place on their systems.

Thanks again for all your help!

  • G62-355dx replaced cpu still does not

My g62-355dx still does not work after replacement of the central unit (this is what has been flashing caps lock code... flashes once every few seconds) so after replacing the cpu I always get the same flashing... tried the hard reset code before replacing the cpu but haven't tried after... I just need to know if its perhaps the card mother and if a motherboard from a model different g62 will work in my 355dx...

This is the third post of the kind that I put in service in the last month or so and I will repeat what I have always supported. It is almost never the CPU, regardless the blink code. It is almost always the motherboard. Your bet by far safer is to replace like with like that probably another g62-300 series motherboard will work, if it offers all your function doesn't not or vice versa, it may take a few case mods do go up and you want to avoid this.

You will need the maintenance manual:

Your motherboard reference number are located inside the memory compartment. Message if you want detailed help find a replacement.

  • replacement cpu hp dv6 3152sl

Hello guys, I can explain my problem in a very simple (I hope) I have a hp 3152sl, equipped with a processor HMN620DCR23GMAMD Phenom™ II Dual - Core Mobile Processors socket s1 burned N620 (Caps Lock key blinks once) I disassembled it obvious burn marks are not there, so I should give it a try a compatible socket s1 amd processor mounting , but that is supported?
also an update could mount a different processor than the original while keeping the maximum absorption of 35 watt? AMD Phenom™ II Quad - Core Mobile Processors N970 or even dual models core black edition ever, thanks to all the world

The problem is almost certainly not the processor motherboard. This is why you don't see burn marks on the CPU. It's probably still good. So if you can get another treatment of tester you can confirm but I would not spend money on a new processor.

You can use a 638 pin micro-PGA Socket S1 (S1g4) processor to test.

    Here is the Manual:

  • Use Office existing Student Edition CD to install to replace CPU?

I simply replace the processor for desktop of my daughter.  A couple of years ago, I bought Office Student Edition on CD to put in my laptop.  Also, she recorded copy of Office Student Edition on its processor when I updated.  I am able to reinstall Office Student Edition on the new processor with my existing CD?  I can activate it?  Or I have to buy a whole new copy?

    Hello

If the activation on the Internet does not work, you can try the phone holder to activate.

You will be asked of the remote computer to give the support page for phone numbers.

You will then receive a new set of numbers to activate your Office.

If this does not work, you will be directed to a Microsoft employee.

Explain your problem and if they are happy with your answer will give you an activation key.

I want to just inquire if this replacement is possible or not & if the motherboard adaptable to the processor a6-5200 or not

Thank you for your attention, I expect to have a response as soon as possible to soon.

    Hello

At first, I must say that it is user in the forum and here you can chat with others who have laptops Toshiba and want to share their own experiences. Unfortunately here you won't get official Toshiba support.

Generally, replacement of the CPU is very delicate issue and quite often discussed on this forum. The fact is that Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable computers do not support these updates.
Toshiba has offered a few document on this matter and you can read it on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

Unfortunately I can't provide accurate information on the CPU that you can use, but I assume that you have the new laptop model so CPU upgrade makes no sense to me. It's quite risky upgrade that will void your warranty. What you can try is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and seek advice. They should have valid information about hardware compatibility.

  • Is it possible to adjust the CPU fan after replacing the CPU - Satellite L35 - S21?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L35-S2161. It was initially equipped with a Celeron M 410. Last weekend, I replaced the Celeron with a Pentium Core Duo T2250. Everything works fine. Now, both the Celeron and Pentium seem to run a bit hot.

The beach of temp for both are exactly the same. Honer time between Celcius 55 to 62 degrees Celsius.

Is it possible to set the fan to maintain a temperature between 50 to 55 degrees? If so, how?

    Check this http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm

-It is uncertain whether the new processor is compatible to the system board. Integrated chipsets can take charge of their technical specifications a wide range of processors, but this does not mean that all types of CPU can be used in a mobile system for * integrated cooling systems are designed individually for each set of model in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the machine *. An incorrect CPU can cause the system to overheat and damage the internal system components.

-In most cases, the BIOS does not work with the replaced CPU which causes a malfunction of the machine. The BIOS needs to be rewritten after each Exchange of a CPU that can only be done by an authorized Toshiba service partner.

  • Satellite A30 303: Question on replacement of the CPU

    Hi all

I recently tried to clean the dust from my laptop.
I removed the cpu and trying to put it back in the place I folded one of the pins. Now, I tried to draw on the pins but have no chance that the laptop shows just a white screen.

Is there someone who can fix bent pins?

Also where can I get a replacement CPU attached to a radiator of? I'm after a 3.06 GHz intel pentium 4

    Hello

It is a very stupid situation. It seems you have damage the CPU!
Usually, this occurs if users have no experience and try to remove and to correct some things that should be done by a technician.

Impossible to fix the CPU damage only the replacement could help.

    > but have no luck as the laptop shows just a white screen.
    > Is there anyone who can fix bent pins?

As you say that you tried to start Notepad. How did insert the processor on the motherboard if the pins are bent?

Regarding your question about the replacement of the CPU; the replacement of the CPU is not advisable on laptops and not easy. Especially the microcode and DMI must be updated after the replacement of the CPU and the motherboard. Without these updates, the CPU on the 600 MHz or the laptop overheating or primer will not work!

    > Also where could I get a replacement CPU attached to a radiator of? I'm after a 3.06 GHz intel pentium 4

If you want to know what s CPU could be compatible, please check your type of chipset used on this laptop and check the specifications of the Intel page!

Finally, I would recommend asking a technician a laptop get the laptop working again.

    Good luck
