P7-1109: start new GPU screen freezes on HP

I have an Asus GeForce GT 720 (2GB) for my pc that my old man had to be changed and the motherboard display output is broken, my previous GPU is a Zotac GeForce GT 430. Then when I put in the 720 GT my computer is located on the HP splash screen that says Press esc to menu start or something like that, but then is not beyond that point. It seems that the computer hangs in fact to this screen that hitting esc doesn't do anything other than make weird noise from the speaker to the mobo. The old GPU will be past this point, but the new custom pc boot. IV tried many things, after looking through the forums and havnt found an answer that worked. Help, please!

Currently, there are several discussions in the forums of HP on an almost identical situation.  Most are trying to use the 750 GT, but the same family of card.  The motherboard (IPISB-CU (Carmel2)) and this family of graphics cards do not agree.  It boils down to a compatibility with the motherboard.  Additional research is necessary if you want to go to a family of different graphics cards, but the WG 7 * will not work.  Some have had success with the GT 6 *, but no guarantee.

  • New Welcome screen at the start of the last DC 2014 of Photoshop problem

I can understand the use of the new Welcome screen in the last update, but it takes 12 seconds to load each time.

I do not have to wait long to do this, so, how might I turn it off?

First, you must be a member of creative cloud paid to turn it off.

Wait for it to load.  After it is loaded, click the news or implementation tab if you're not already there.  Scroll down so that you see the footer.  (Note that the Mac can make it not obvious that you can scroll to the bottom).  You should see a checkbox titled 'don't show welcome screen Again.  Check it, and then close the dialog box.

Note You can bring it back once again my by selecting the element 'Welcome. '... "in the Help menu.

  • Screen freezes and blinks after the update to 10.11.6

    Hello!

I have a Macbook Pro for mid-2007, which has helped a lot, was powerful and as stable as steel. I've never had or known major bugs since I have. Leopard 10.5 aka El Capitan 10.11.5, nothing to notice. The usual Mac you need: solid, stable and fast. I have an IntelCore 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, Samsung SSD 840 series, the old Fujitsu HDD for storage and a Nvidia GeForce 8600 M GT graphics chipset.

But the nightmare started when install the last update of El Capitan: OS 10.11.6. Update was fast enough, just half an hour, and I'm going, with the last update. I was browsing Safari then my screen blinked once, and all that was displayed was frozen, except the mouse I could be moved. 10 seconds or about later, my system of defrost and I could use it. Until less than a minute later, new flashes and freeze again. And he began to be more bizarre than ever: Safari window displaying strange patterns, with little colored squares, bar menus, very noisy. Hard, I rebooted my Macbook Pro, hoped it was just a random bug. But no, it has reproduced, forever and ever, when browsing in Safari. So I decided to switch to Opera web browser just for a test day. And... nothing happened. No bugs, no frost, no flashing screens. I found the source of this Safari bug, so I went to the opera.

Until yesterday, when you use the Finder to display images using Quicklook. Flashes and the gel. When you are using TweetDeck, same result, flashes & freeze. Even if you use Opera when scrolling too fast: flashes and the screen. When you use presentation and Launchpad. And if this bug to reproduce twice, the display shows a strange patterns, such as Cup-a part of windows, bar menu invisible, etc..

It's VERY BORING. It is the first time in 8 years of work with Mac OS X, I have experienced this kind of graphic bug. The last time I encounter some bugs graphics but much more discreet, and it's in 2008 with OS 10.5.3, which was not very stable (the next version is much more stable).

I know this has something to do with the Nvidia driver. The same lines are appearing in the newspapers when the bug happens, like this:

    > 31/07/2016 10:50:47, 000 kernel [0]: NVDA (OpenGL): exception channel! exception type = 0xd = graphic engine (GR error 5) error

I don't want to hear that this has something to do with the graphic chipset, because before the 10.11.6 updated, I had NO gel or flashes of the screen at all. I had never actually had. And the motherboard has been replaced in 2010 because the chipset was dead.

So, I don't know what to do. I guess I'll have to wait a few months the 10.11.7 next update, hoping that he can solve the display bug. And I wouldn't be able to install Sierra because... Well, my Macbook Pro is too old, so I'm stuck with El Capitan (but that's another story).

Thanks in advance if you have any tips that might help.

It is difficult to say if this is indeed caused by the last update or a (chance) sign is not material. You might be able to work around the problem by installing the gfxCardSatusand forcing your MacBook to use the GPU integrated or discreet, but not automatically switch between them.

  • Clip 2 GB screen freezes on refresh database

    Hello

I bought a new clip 2 GB a day ago. Have copied songs in the folder music, I removed the device safely, and he showed me the refresh database screen.

However, after about 80% finished, the screen freezes and doesn't answer since. I left my clip on since then.

Please help me solve this problem.

    (A very sad Sansa customer.)

There is probably a particular file that is causeing the problem.

New firmware has improved the handling of these files, if you want to upgrade to the latest.

Press the power button for 20 seconds until the unit turns off.

Then, connect the device directly to the computer without it turned on, the device upwards will power.

You can access the content and start to remove the folders to find the file that causes the problem.

    Or,

You can format the unit and then to apply the firmware and transferred from scratch.

  • Computer screen freezes after inactivity

I recently did a free my Norton anti-virus update to the new version 2011. After this update my computer screen freezes like 1 or 2 times a day. It occurs normally after I put mode "Eve" and go back to using it. After about 15 to 30 seconds, it will freeze sometimes.

I don't know if it's related but I got a DEP Data Execution Prevention, pop up, but not when the screen froze. I performed a complete analysis of the system of Norton and not detected no viruses.

I wonder if this new version of Norton has problems with windows? I use my computer for e-mail and the Internet. Do not download music, games ect...

    Any help would be appreciated.

On your download Norton: I had similar problems and discovered how to do a clean install by getting rid of that most completely in the control panel and task bar completely so we start with the most recent. If you do not buy on line and using the disk, Norton technicians will likely send e-mail instructions since it's their program.  But read on some similar experiences I've had, it might help you.

I finally got the taskbar, moved to the bottom of the screen, but in the meantime, I downloaded a software called ParetoLogic who claimed that he could fix the taskbar, but he did all the scans and has not set something on the taskbar, so I deleted and kept following the instructions in the task bar and got moved from the task bar.  Then I uninstalled the software called ParetoLogic, my office has begun to gel.  I have to shut down the computer manually, so I contacted the technician on their site and they sent instructions to fetch the menus of tasks that were set to run and the record, but when I finally found the tasks, I couldn't delete them.  I tried to close the Task Manager and he said that I could not close file until all dialog boxes are closed, and I could not find how to close the dialog boxes.  I do not know how to find it after searching for the bar of tasks and answers questions, so I had to click on restart and shut down everything, so I probably lost some information on the way.  I had a computer to lock my CD drive there are several antivirus and anti spyware software, making a few years I used McAfee more Att security program free that they have downloaded with my DSL internet. I didn't know until you have to do a clean uninstall before you try to download a newer version. The control panel will not remove or uninstall all of a program, there are always parts of it, still running in the system, and that's what happens to me today, so, maybe if clean you the old version first, then do a clean with the more recent, install which will probably do.

  • Computer HPp6203 of desktop screen freezes randomly

    Original title: windows 7 freeze

I have a high HPp6203 desktop screen freezes at random no program special time frame or action. Unable to move anything or courier. Hi G Conrad, j.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

I would appreciate it if you could provide the error message to better support on the issue. In addition, I would like you to answer the following questions to refine the question.

    • You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    • You are able to use the system anyway after the system hangs at startup?

There are a few reasons your computer might hang, freeze, or crash. So I would say, you can remove the external devices except the mouse and keyboard, try the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Try to start your system in a State of services necessary to the operation and a minimum set of drivers enabled, called Safe Mode.
Start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: If the system works fine in safe mode, try to clean the system startup:

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

If method 1 does not work, see the steps in the following link and check if they are useful.

8.1 Windows, Windows 8 or Windows 7 hangs or freezes

Disclaimer : The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the preview pane of Safari until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. Then restart the unit.

When you say factory reset, did your restore as new or from a backup?

  • Satellite M70 164 - screen freezes and goes black, overheating

    Hello world! :)

Recently my Satellite m70-164 started to freeze after only a few minutes of work. The picture on the screen freezes, and a few seconds later, it becomes completely black.
The computer doesn't even have time to warm up, and it's not stop... It's just the screen that freezes and becomes so black. I have to reset the computer by pressing the power button. (I write from another computer).

I noticed that working time reduced whenever I have reset the computer and after some time it freezes even though I am in the BIOS settings, so I don't think it's an OS problem.
Even if the computer does not have time to warm up, this suggests it might be a heat problem.
So I tried pointing a fan this is low (a big, like the ones we use in the summer), and it works without problem!

With the fan facing these, I reinstalled Windows - so no Virus.
Laptop fan * not * continue to operate as it is overheating.
The fan runs and it is not clogged as I've cleaned.

So if anyone has the same problem, or ideas, please respond!
    (And sorry for my English)
    Thanks in advance! : D

    Hey Buddy,

I agree with you. In this case, even in the BIOS, that it has nothing to do with Windows or a Virus. In this case, it seems to be a hardware malfunction

But before contacting an authorized service provider to diagnose what part is the cause, clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This should be done from time to time (every 4 months) and, therefore, it of not necessary to disassemble the laptop.
