  I was updating my laptop works Bios and I had the power cord plugged in (no battery, he was at home).

  Unfortunately buddy; There are not a lot to do.
  It seems that the BIOS update procedure has failed because of the failure and the module ROM was flashed properly.
  I hope that the motherboard isn't too bad.

  In your case it s is strongly recommended to contact the local ASP.
  Guys should be able to help you
  I'm not very well if you need a new motherboard or just a new update of the module m ROM
  But the ASP technician needs to know what needs to be done

• Extractor T540p and 'No package' update / Thininstaller

  Hi all

  I hope that ive posted this in the right place. IM currently facing problems with trying to get thininstaller to pick up pilots from the repository in update retrievers. Our laptops T530 see packages update without problem, but the t540p will see a driver (Intel Rapid Storage Driver AHCI), so I know that everything is pointing to the right places.

  I also installed the drivers manually from the lenovo website to see if there was some sort of compatibility thing going on but they install fine and function of devices without problem.

  I currently have a share of \\servername\lenovo\updateretriever\repository that the thinInstaller is pointing to the repository. All updates that are in the repository for the t540 have the active value. The machines are x 64 versions of win7 installed on them and have obviously checked that the drivers are all x 64. I also checked the things like the PnPID that is in the XML driver and he matched the hardwareID for the device on the laptop and most of them match (tried to add all the device entries in the PnPID in the XML field but no difference).

  It still gives me the error "not applicable to your system of packages were found.

  As a note, at the time of thininstaller, laptops have a win7 x 64 vanilla install on them. Could it be a prerequisite that must be installed as .net?

  I had a nightmare trying to get this working and I know that its probably something that im lack, but ive hit a bit of a brickwall. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

  I just fixed my own question, so for anyone who comes across this post, I was currently using version thininstaller 1.2.0006, after updating the installer for 1.2.0010 he finds all of the updates in the repository.

  Such a silly thing to miss but was unnoticed.

  Still confused as to why he picked up as an update in the first place. But the problem is now solved however.

  It is difficult to help you if you do not want to read what is suggested. The utldtree.sql script will do what you want. Read the first part of the script and it will tell you what it does and how it works:

• Recommended Solaris Package upgrade procedure

  We would like to know the recommended Application Package upgrade procedure. We followed the procedure as defined in the Application Packaging Developer's Guide.
  
  Currently, we have followed the following procedure during the upgrade:
  
  1. check if the old version is available.
  2. If it is available, run the pkgrm command to remove the old package as indicated in the Application Packaging Developer's Guide. But because the package names are the same and we execute the pkgrm since the script preinstall, in some systems, command is not allow to remove the old package because it is run from scope of pkgadd command. The following error message if poster during package verification step is performed

  3. we cannot manually delete the old package first because it will completely delete the file. We need to migrate some files of the old version again. Therefore, the old files during the upgrade.

  What exactly do you do? You mean the Oracle Forms running Solaris or upgrade upgrade $somethingelse on Solaris?

• Satellite A210-171 bios update procedure?

  First post for me and it's like the title says, really.

  The procedure on the support pages ([http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm]) does not appear to cover my case. I downloaded the package to update the bios twice now, but although method 1 seems closest to you, there is that there is no file "BIOS" (Windows batch file) (BIOS.bat). in the package. I'm a little confused and reluctant to move forward without knowing exactly what to do, only too aware of the consequences of being wrong!

  Generally speaking, if you n t have problems with your laptop, there is no reason for an update the BIOS. So if everything works correctly, be satisfied and happy! :)

  Otherwise, update the BIOS is always somewhat risky, yes but before starting the update, make sure that you are logged in Administrator and close all programs running (firewall, antivirus, etc.).

  If you run the downloaded exe file, the update will start.

  i. but now, the laptop still has BIOS 1.60

  When you try to install itunes, I get a pop up box that says: there is an error with the windows package install and it will not continue with the download.  I went online to download the package to install to my computer (Windows Vista) and when it starts to download get an error stating that "the procedure requires a rise." What it means?  I assume this has something to do with security in the administrative account that I am signed on the label on when problems occur.  Thank you!

  For debugging this problem, you face on ADR:

  • Find the folder of configuration of ADR.
  • Enable debug tracing in defaults.xml (if the entry is not there add the entry)
  • Turn on detailed error messages ask in defaults.xml (if the entry is not there add the entry)
  • Start(Re-Start) the Standalone ADR / support for Java EE application server.
  • Navigate to the REST URL or do the REST.
  • Copy / paste the debug log in the response to the forum.

  I can't find any example on the web or any good documentation on the package.

  What I am doing wrong?
