Packer CC Enterprise install Fail
I'm on a Macbook Pro running 10.8 w / 12 GB of RAM. I created a package with everything in the CC from 27/06/2013. The package downloaded and is slightly more than 12 GB. I ran the installation and he hung up and failed after that instal estimate clock ran up to an hour remaining. After try again once I begain researching the issue and found a thread here saying that CC Cleaner would do the trick. I uninstalled manually everything that I had Adobe associate (collections of CS5.5 and CS6) and then ran CC Cleaner. Same result. I removed the full support of the App > Adobe in my user library files and my library system as well. Still get the same result every time. Is attached a photo where it crashes at the facility, he reached that stage in a few seconds and rest for more than 30 minutes that the clock is ticking upward before it fails. I can't cancel this installation without a force quit either.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
I'm to the point of madness.
Success!
Here are the additional steps I took after making the foregoing:
- A ran CC Cleaner again since each installation failure left remains everywhere.
- Deleted files of the HD > library > Preferences > Adobe folder. These files remained after uninstalling programs that have said to delete the preferences AND after having executed the CC Cleaner.
- Reset
- Installer of Ran

The installation of Service Pack 2 for Vista failed. I tried several times. Message reads "not successful." "Element not found". I click on the 'Détails' link and it shows the following error: ERROR_NOT_FOUND (0 x 80070490). I tried in several ways through the links suggested to solve the problem and nothing has worked.
I turned to the forums and I saw that many, many people have the same problem with Vista SP2 Upgrade. Microsoft and several of its Vista customers realized that Vista has a lot of problems, but people who have need of the service. Being able to download and install the SP2 can make Vista more stable, but I get the same message mentioned above, and so I am sure are a lot of other people who are trying to get Service Pack 2 integrated into Vista.

Vista SP2 x 64 install failed with error 80004005
I tried to install the SP2 for Vista X 64 (KB948465) four times. The most recent installation attempt failed after
(1) created a new administrator account and did the following...
(2) uninstalled CA Antivirus Suite (no other antivirus installed).
(3) stop the Windows Update service, renamed %windir%\SoftwareDistribution for... \SoftwareDistributionOld, restarted update service, restarted.
(4) installed and run CheckSur (can provide the journal).
(5) restarted in clean boot mode.
6) attempted to reinstall SP2.In all attempts, installation seems to be completed, during the restart of the installation of all 3 full updates to 100%. However, the message then States that the installation failed and the original configuration was recovering.

My computer has terrible fonctionnee and will not at all. There a lot of errors blue screen and constant freezes. It happens all the time. The fact that service pack 2 is installed would be part of the problem? Also, is it OK to enter the program records to remove a program if it does not appear in the section install/remove? Thanks for your help.
Hi RonGerdes,
1. where to find two entries for service pack 2 on the computer?
2. Since when are you the bluescreen or constant freezing on the computer?
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
If the previous step fails, then check the event viewer to determine the cause of the blue screen on the computer and post back with the details.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed correctly, and then on reboot I get a blue error screen or green.
The only way that I could finally restart, was safe and then I restored to before I installed SP2.
WinXP SP2 must have been installed more than four years ago.
If you haven't installed SP2, you could not possibly have a functional application of the antivirus installed so see...

Which Service Packs I have install during the installation of operating system?
I intend to do a clean install of Windows XP Edition family on a replacement hard drive. At this hour I'll also install updates recommended. Should what Service Packs I install?
Microsoft sites are ambiguous or incomplete information. From my reading, it seems that I need to install the Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 to install Service Pack 3. And yet the Service Packs are supposed to be cumulative updates, containing all updates released before the release of the latest Service Pack. Have to install only the Service Pack 3 would be my preference, which would do the trick.
What installation plan would give me the desired result (a nice, clean, full of XP and all installation updates recommended) more effective in terms of installation time and using the hard drive?
After installation, remove the files? It seems to me (and perhaps I got wrong this impression) that the Service Pack and the individual updates of XP I have installed in the past have left a huge amount of files on my hard drive, the files after successful installation, I might be able to remove without adverse consequences. My feeling is that Microsoft (and many other reputable software providers) are happy to add you to their software, but they clean up after themselves.
If you hired a Carpenter to build new cabinets in kitchen at home, he would not let the old cabinets, scrap lumber, loose nails and screws and tools scattered in your kitchen. It would be to clean up all this in the context of completing the work. I don't want to be unfair to Microsoft (in case I'm wrong about what they leave on my machine), but if they leave their installation files or obsolete older files (from earlier and now supplanted the Service Packs) on my machine, they are not complete the project.
Your advice on what to install and how to clean up after installation will be appreciated. Thank you.
You must download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3. Afterwards, visit Windows Update and download available later updates. Carey Frisch

my system downloaded and installed service pack 1, yet auto update keeps popping up telling me to instal it?
Hi Jerry,
1. How have you installed service pack 1 before? Is it through Windows update?
2. have you checked the Windows update history?
Check if the Service pack is already isntalled on the computer. Follow the steps.- Right click on "computer".
- In the system of the Details check if section Serivce pack is mentioned.
If the Service pack is not installed, then you can download the stand-alone package for Service Pack 1 and install.
See the article to download the stand alone Service Pack 1, and then run the installation.

How to check what Feature Pack has been installed on the PeopleSoft system.
Hello
How to tell what (FP1 or FP2) Feature Pack has been installed in the PS HCM 9.1 applications and FMS 9.1 or installed any Featue Pack?.
Thank you.
I don't think you can directly check the FP level. Which means that you can not simply query a table and determine the level of the public Service.
You should check the level of patch/bug in ps_maintenance_log and compare with FP
