• Screen resolution/size changes when you use the touchpad

  Bought Probbok 4530 s. Win 7. I continue to have the screen/print resolutiom size change when you use the touch pad. The pointer seems to 'paste' and then when I move it, the screen get is much lower or higher. I continually have to type ctrl + or - to get the size of the screen back to the 'normal '. Is this something to do with the settings for the touchpad or pointer? Its driving me crazy...

  Hell, I think that this is it... Pinch Zoom! I have disabled that, as well as the "allow the theme change mouse pointers" on the pointers tab. I'm playing with it now, and it seems to have solved the problem. I'll let you know if this isn't... Thanks for the great help, Dragon fur!

• Legend field size changes when the cursor moved legend

  So weird, I don't even thought it, but here it is:

  In VI attached, I have legends of the parcel next graphics, if I can put checkboxes next to them for the turning on or off the channel display.  In the third, I need to include the sliders, but when I did the legend of cursor visible and moved (it automatically appears on the side, under where I put the legend of the plot), the legend of plot in size changes.  It is shortened, which is annoying, but also means that it is more aligned with the checkboxes.

  I tried to use the PlotLegend:Height property and managed to _read_ it is, indeed, evolution, but I can't put it (or rather, I can't do it to _stay_ together).

  Even more strange: when I open the file on my laptop, the problem of size change does not occur, BUT the legend of the plot begins with a different size of the boxes!  I know that I can use 'Objects to scale with the Panel', but I've always shied away from that, due to problems of size and text beside it, since I am defining the size of the Panel, things really should be the same size, anyway.

  Because of the issue of the different-monitor-size different, I don't know if the version of the file's "modified" screen will show the problem, but I have attached, in the case.

  Well, it's certainly weird - it does on my PC as well. I have no explanation for it.

  Perhaps a solution you can use the checkboxes in the visibility field integrated instead. You wouldn't need a separate control.

  Right click on the legend of the plot and select 'Visible Elements' > 'plot visibility Checkbox.

• When you draw an object it's size changes when I put a line on it. How can I change this?

  Whenever I put a stroke on an object, it's size changes, and when I increase the size of stoke, continues to increase the size of the object.

  Edit > Preferences > General > use Preview Bounds is checked. Just uncheck the box.

  The lines that I draw are 0px wide and 22px high but when I turn them around the Circle line sizes change...?

  Say the two lines are grouped and the first series is 276px on that the next series becomes say 276.346 and then 275.582 and 198.682 and so...

  I went in the palette to turn to see if there is anything I should check, but it doesn't seem as if I'm missing something to the best of my (limited) knowledge.

  I also tried the manual and looked for something like: "why size line would change on rotation" and I looked under transform and rotate, but I did not have a chance.

  What you read is the width and the height of the area of the path includes.

  Think of the hand of a clock. When it is at 12 it's thin and vertical. When there is 1, it takes much more space horizontally than to 12.

  You read the area covered by the path, not the dimensions of actual path.

  Basically, the numbers you read represent the pink boxes in this screenshot:

  You can change this as follows.

  Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.

  The option you're looking for is called "Pinch Zoom" - see image below.  Remove the checkmark against this article, click on close in this window, then apply then Ok in the previous window to save this change.

• Jumps to Page Excel reset when creating PDF

  I have a spreadsheet in Excel 2007 I have page breaks set as I want.  Although, when I create a PDF with Adobe Pro it changes the page break settings and removes a column to another page.  What can I do to prevent page breaks change when I create the pdf file?  Thanks in advance.

  This is because the size of the page you are printing on is different from what you have in Excel.  Try to change the size of the page when you print, or to bring Adobe default PDF and see what Excel page breaks look like then.

• How can I make my content follow my master when master page size is changed?

  I have a header with a structure of menu etc which is defined as a master page. When I create a new page and apply the master to this page, everything seems fine. I'll start then to design the rest of the page. However, if my master page to change the size, the content of the page to which it is applied will not move accordingly. What I am doing wrong?

  I will try to explain with an example:

  Say my head on my master page is originally in height 250px, and I see all the pages using this master, but then decide that my head needs to increase to 300 px in height. Then my master header will only be placed ON the content of the page. Isn't there a way to make the content under the heading move automatically when the size of the master is changed?

  In addition, it really should be possible to add more than one master to a page.

  Try to move the guide of the blue header on the main page under the content (below the menus). This should lead to the child pages to adjust accordingly.

  Peter is right, that this problem is not being solved in the hotfix released today.

  I already signed in to the same bug and sent to engineering for a fix, waiting for a response from the well side!

  There is workaround as copy and paste the contents to a new file, but not a fix solution as if now.

  We have some problems resizing of a PDF document to a smaller size of the page (e.g. A4).

  It seems that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC creates a PDF document with a page size that is larger than an A4 document in width.

  We have already tried the following things:

  • We printed out the PDF file to an A4 document with the Adobe PDF printer, but this causes all our form elements to disappear. 90% of all form elements are not available in the printed PDF file.
  • We tried to set the page size by using options like Te 'organise pages' = > 'set page boxes' = > "Change Page size". However, when we try to set the size of the page on the exact dimensions of an A4 document, we obtain the well known error "Page Size cannot be reduced".

  Finally, we used a trial version of MapSoft plugin for changed the size of the page of A4 document.

  It works, but in our view, this should be possible in Adobe without use of external plugins. If we have missed some sort of option in Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro DC?

  P.S.: If the document does not have the exact size of A4 page, a part of the text does not fit into predefined on our template document boxes. In addition, the printed document alike on different printers if the A4 page size is not used.

  Print on the 'Adobe PDF' format will remove all form fields, links...

  The tool controls upstream allows you to change the size of the page.

  I'm changing the page size of the pages within a document. Apparently, you're supposed to select the pages in the Pages panel and then change the height and width of the Panel settings. My height and width boxes are grayed out. What have I done wrong?

  Your screenshot shows you the active Selection (the black arrow) tool, not the Page tool (the third tool from above).

• How to keep the correct margins/page size when you convert a Word 2010 PDF document?

  I searched the Internet far and wide in order to understand why, when converting a Word 2010 document in PDF format in Windows 7 (via Adobe Distiller 9.5.5316), the top and bottom of the resulting PDF margins are automatically increased (which reduces the content on the page a bit) despite having consistently and everywhere the value paper A4 in Word 2010 and Adobe default PDF settings. It's almost as if distilling is stubbornly scaling the document to a different page size any of the parameters are specified.

  I solved this problem in previous versions by simply unchecking scaling print in Microsoft Word or distill. "In Word 2010, do you this through: file-> Options-> advanced, and then clear the paper sizes 'Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11' setting ' in the Print section.

  Today it is not so simple. I suspect that there is some chipping page or by default will sizing on but where and how to change it?

  I have to say that the years of updates Adobe seems to have two different products Adobe for creating files PDF. the above mentioned distill as long as Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended-(v. 9.5.5). However, they use the same default settings of PDF from Adobe by specifying the format of A4 paper.

  I think I have seen/inspected all of the parameters available to specify page sizes and scale - Adobe used to provide the add-in PDFMaker for Word, which manifested itself in a Word called "Acrobat" tab, and, we could see PDF settings, but this tab disappeared for a long time with a previous update to Acrobat. I tried to make this tab reappear in Word, but nothing helped.

  I also confirmed the size settings for correct page for Brother printers both Adobe in the dialog Windows 7 "devices and printers".

  Print scale is always an option in Acrobat. Adobe continue to change the name. Look closely. Looking for options like "fit to page".

• Batch to change the page size of InDesign documents

  I have about 300 documents in InDesign (2014 cc, Mavericks) a page of various page sizes. Each page is wider than 4 inches and 4 inches larger than the content of the page. The content is in middle of the page - actually make a margin of 2 inches (but with no margin guides) around the content. What I need to do, is get the page of all documents will have to be a specific page size, 7,125 "x 9.75".

  I was able to accomplish this by putting all the docs in a book, make a master page 7,125 "x 9.75" on a doc, synchronize the other docs and then opening each doc and apply the master page. The last piece was a bit a lot of work and I would like to avoid it in the future.

  Could write a script that opens some InDesign documents (in or not in a book) and changes the various sizes of page to the necessary size? I've never written scripts before, so no idea if it's possible or how to do it.

  I put the following on another forum and got help, but it took that I have control over the creation of the original documentation. And I did not. "Is there a way to globally apply a master page to all pages of all documents in a book?

  If you want to change the composition and all the layers it contains, there is a script: scale Composition.jsx that comes with Ae (in the Scripts folder) which does exactly the same thing.

  He puts on a scale by a factor uniform using a temporary null object. You can twist no uniform scaling by a factor.

  But if you want only to preserve the size of the layers and adjust their position so that their new position relative to the new comp Center is the same as previously, the script above can not help.

  In the simplest situation you just compensate for all positions of layers related by the same amount: [(compNewWidth-compOldWidth) * 0.5, (compNewHeigth-compOldHeight) * 0.5].

  Not sure it will work well in all situations (such as 3D with cameras).
