• LiveCycle Form pagination problem - please help!

  Please could anyone help with a paging issue that I'm with a form of Livecycle? One of the subforms I created continues to jump at the end of the page and I can't for the life of me how to fix it! It drives me crazy and it seems to me have tried everything.

  Hi Ken,

  I see that you don't use data binding and have a lot of subforms with the same name that will cause chaos during the loading of the data in the form.

  At first I would rename subform [0] - subform [23] to something unique.

• Huge pages on Linux for Oracle

  What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Linux (SUSE Linux 10 SP2) huge pages regarding the Oracle? I have a situation where there is a lot of switching under load (when new oracle sessions to develop rapidly). My theory is that this permutation can be reduced by using huge pages. (according to my reading).

  Mark and Jonathan gave you good suggestions, as usual.

  Meminfo output, you can see that the size of the page table is ~2.75GB. Thus, by allowing the HugePages, which will reduce to a lower value. I think, your calculations are in line with what I expected to see after activation HugePages.

  Most important thing to consider is swapping or paging issues. HugePages locks the SGA in memory and cannot be swapped. During the fast memory, without Hugepages, an essential part of the LMS such as the log buffer and a large Shared pool granules can be exchanged or paged out. This can lead to stability and performance issues. So far, I have had three or four clients with stability problems solved by setting up HugePages.

  Unless you use virtualized environments where Linux is a client, you should probably consider setting up HugePages. In a highly virtualized environment considerations need to be given, since the client can see more of virtual memory, but less of physical memory.

• Is it possible to limit the system size of Pool Paged on 64-bit system?

  There is an application that uses big files (usually more than 1 TB) through particular e/s in some places files and memory mapping.

  We have control over the application, however declining memory map is highly undesirable because of stability issues.

  on 32 - bit systems, everything is perfect. on 64 - bit expanded considerably systems grows and may exceed the size of physical memory.

  Poolmon.exe reports that almost all dimensions of pool are used by MmSt, which is the object prototype PTE.

• BSOD of ntoskrnl.exe and other issues

  It is a new construction, new CPU/motherboard, etc, have a new video card. Three hard drives are in my system (1 SSD and HDD 2). I don't really know where to start to look at what may be the issue. I thought it was the video card, so I replaced it, but I still get similar questions.

  The BSOD is sporadic and the question doesn't seem to be the same thing every time, but ntoskrnl.exe has developed a couple of times. What are the possible problems that I might have?

• Are there ways to increase the use of Win 7 RAM paging/caching memory?

  I have an Intel I5 Ivy Bridge CPU, Win 7 64 bits Home Premium OS, 16 GB of RAM and GPU Nvidia GTX 550 it to 1 GB DDR5 memory.  I run two programs in real-time mapping/trading stocks on two monitors.

  My goals are to improve the time to re - draw screen and reduce the Windows hard disk access.  Although there are alternatives to consider, I would like to invite the community to thoughts on two issues:
  1. how to increase the use of the RAM to the paging/caching window: tools of the surveillance system show that the use of the RAM is about 30% of the installed 16 GB all cached Windows hard disk is constantly busy.   If there is a tweak to increase the use of the RAM, I could develop memory 32 GB RAM.
  2. otherwise, I could install a 120 GB Solid State Drive.  Then, the question is whether you use the SSD for the OS or as according to Intel Rapid Storage disk cache would give the best solution for the above stated objectives?

  My understanding is that the software is responsible for the amount of RAM is used.
  You can't allocate X amount of RAM for a specific task.
  If your software is needed, or could use more RAM than what he's using it now would use it.

  Just starting to get these errors.  I have a background of both limited computer posted patches go well above my head.  I tried to do a little, but I have to do something wrong.  Could someone help guide me through these errors solved?  I can boot the computer and restart it.   I am running Windows 8 on my PC and have seen the Failure of Page in the nonpaged area error when starting and stopping down a few times.

• Paging tabular - Apex 5.0

  I work with Apex 5.0 on apex.oracle.com. I just added a tabular presentation page to my application and let it default to 10 lines per page, with the option of paging "Line Range 1-15, 16-30". I have a small group of data, so I tried to increase the number of lines to 50, so I changed the value of "Number of Rows" at 50, saved the page change and refreshed the page but does not change the number of rows displayed.

  I messed around with most of the pagination options that include paging and still no joy. The number of rows displayed seems to be stuck on 10, no matter what I change these two values. I've never had a problem with this in previous versions (that I remember) so not sure what happens here. Am I missing something? Or is this a bug any? I don't want to go to this conclusion, there is a story too long and massive for Apex, but it's weird (for me).

• Complication of paging

  I recently picked up maintenance of a large catalog providing a commercial manufacturer.  The catalog consists of thousands of pages with an article by page contained in a number of workbooks.  The catalogue is updated regularly with new items and often a number of pages must be removed because the elements have been dropped. The pages on new issues are printed and delivered to be sent to rehearsals.  So far, we have printed new pages for the items abandoned (with a grey and DISCONTINUED banner image) to replace pages in the catalogue of reps.

  The problem is that, if continues, this system would increase the number of pages to proportions unwieldy (not to mention a waste of print additional pages).  However, if I simply remove the pages in the pagination of the existing catalogs InDesign document gets all messed.

  The solution, that I expect must find a way to leave the pages left in the doc ID, but designate somehow would never print.  That would preserve the pagination.  The sales rep could simply remove the binders, the pages in question.  There is a gap in the numbering of the pages, but never duplicate page numbers.  Unfortunately, I have not found an effective way to do this in the code.

  Is this possible?  I feel like I'm missing something obvious.  I'm open to other suggestions on how to handle this issue as well.

  I would apply the Page Master 'None' for non-printable pages.

  This way paging yet elapse with sheets etc or other automated numbering system.

  I then opened the attributes Panel (Windows > attributes) and set the page on nonprinting items. I would a new style object so that is applied the nonprinting attribute.

  No page should be treated as a blank page, now you can just print the pages and don't include not the white pages.

• Paging with ASP.

  Hello. I have a search and results page that work fine in what about filtering via the SQL statement. I can see all of the Recordsets using the filters applied on the search page. The issue is when I try to limit the number of records read games to 5, the results of the button 'Next' as applied such via the Navigation Menu of Recordset returns a page of results, but it contains no data - that's all just a page without the table where my next files should be. I assume that the procedure of paging does not work - drop recordsets which was held in limbo. Then I'd start looking for causes. I looked at Stored Procedures and this seems not to be the area that I'm looking. Pointers please.

• Appeal iPhone issues 7 more

  I recently bought the new iPhone 7 more.  Not only am I having problems with the LTE service, bounce back between 3 G and no service I am now having problems with call connectivity.  When you try to make an outgoing call, I get an automatic response from my carrier (Verizon) "it's Verizon, we are unable to complete your call at this time, please turn off your phone and back and try again."

  It is a known issue with the iPhone 7 and Verizon. Supposed to be Apple and Verizon are seeking him. It has been a problem since the phone was released. Do a Google search or search here on the forums for a temporary solution but not a cure.  But basically to stop the LTE oice and data into data only in the settings.

• iPhone 6 more hang freeze issues

  My iPhone 6 more guard suspended (gel) for the past 6 months, I have to reset the whole phone sometimes up to 2 times just to get it to work again. Been a loyal (including my entire family) custome since gen 1 iPhone, iPad, mac book. Am really disappointed with the quality now. Did not bring to the service center since the first day of the problem because I thought that was just a few bugs & was sure that apple will fix it, but after many update of iOS so far, the pesisit still problem.

  iPhone is more quality I've known, hope apple can fix this problem before finally losing the most loyal customers

• Pages on issues of formatting to iCloud

  Hey everybody,

  I created a document Pages using the Pages application on my macbook pro I downloaded then to iCloud Pages so that I can access it from any computer. The issue I'm having is that I formatted some of the text to have a black background and the text to yellow color. For the life of me I can't understand how to change the background color of text on the Pages of iCloud. I beginning to think that changing the background color of text just is not possible on the platform of iCloud, but wanted to put this out there just to make sure.

  I appreciate any help or clarification on this issue.

  Background (highlight) text color controls are absent in the Pages for iCloud, because it is a subset of Pages for Mac.
