Pairing requires a passcode?

Night last time Capsule of someone connected to mine and my roommates laptops at the same time (we share wifi router). The message displayed in the image above appeared every hour for several hours until what we have disconnected the router. We have a router secure and well change the name and the password messages continue. This morning the messages had ceased and I have been in contact with the person who is the owner of the Capsule. He says that he doesn't know why this has happened and no data has been shared in our laptops to its capsule. For clarity, I would like to know if it would have been possible that personal information may have been shared from my laptop to its capsule if there wasn't no action was taken to try pairing on my part?

Apple automate the installation of their equipment... If you start an airport in wireless range of an airport utility Mac will jump at you.

There is a setting to stop what is happening. Just go to the Airport utility preferences and turn on monitor airports only you have configured.

Night last time Capsule of someone connected to mine and my roommates laptops at the same time (we share wifi router). The message displayed in the image above appeared every hour for several hours until what we have disconnected the router.

Apple is just trying to be helpful... in a sort of needless to passage. She asks if you want to set the TC which appeared close to home and having problems.

You are not connected to it... unless you click on TC icon and start setting up and that's only if you have the password. If the person who is the owner of configuration correctly the TC you even will not be able to access... or it can access your computers.

To answer your question in the title... Pairing requires a passcode... It depends on the configuration... If your friend has left open the wireless, then no password is required. I expect many more problems to show if this was the case.

Note this issue occurs very often in buildings that have shared... internet... a person puts their Apple router on the network and all apple in building computers can see. In part, it's really poor network infrastructure... It should be designed to prevent access through users... but it is also not possible to access the unit... as long as the password is in place.

    Hello

I am trying to run the remote RDP Single-VM test according to the instructions of Installation and user's Guide.

When I start this test, the client virtual machine console turns off completely and I'm unable to see if any operation is going on.

Also 'viewplanner.log' shows "connection started from the client: fe80::457f:815 c: a8b6:317% 13" message and I see no progress after that. "

Everyone met such a problem? Any ideas?

Copied a part of the viewplanner.log below.

-The version of Adobe Reader must be v9 or v10. I comply v11 and errors.

-For the 'IE_ApacheDoc_BROWSE', run with IE v8. I ran v11 IE on Windows 7 and became the error. When you update the packages on Windows 7, it will update IE to v11, uninstall this update and it should be good. Found this solution on another thread of discussion in this forum.

  • View-PCoIP does not connect on the desktop with ViewPlanner, but does not connect manually

I saw this mentioned in a few subjects, but I've not seen a resolution.

I configured a remote view-PCoIP see Planner run profile. The customer and and food Office of VMs on. The Office is a newspaper and connect the client starts the view Client PCoIP. It connects on the view connection server, but not on the desktop. The error message is 'office 'Unknown' is not in the list of desktop titled. (see the folder of the image as an attachment).

I press the OK button on the error message, start the Client view manually, by using the same credentials see Planner in AD, and I am able to connect to connect to the server, then the virtual desktop computer. The job see Planner runs even at this place (if I don't stop to see Planner first).

Two days ago, that I was able to run a desktop computer without problem running 10 profile. Since then, I've added several hundred offices at the pool, no other configuration change I can think. The pool is an automatic with floating assignments, office computers are supplied with View Composer. The 'Test' AD security group has the right (see image file).

I don't understand why see Planner cannot connect to a desktop computer, so that I can do it manually.

I see the same behavior with a single or multiple, virtual machine run profile.

Here is an extract from the journal of the unit (all IP addresses are on an area of temporary laboratory, so I really don't like if they are exposed).

    Thanks and greetings

  • vCenter Heartbeat on another subnet WAN

Hi all, the documentation is not very clear around that. An installation of vCSHB over a WAN link with different subnets a require a separate public IP in addition to the secondary management IP?

    Thank you

From page 29 of the install guide:

vCenter Server Heartbeat supports sites with different subnets. In this scenario, the primary and secondary nodes in the vCenter Server Heartbeat pair require unique public IP addresses, unique VMware Channel IP addresses for every node in a different subnet and IP addresses of single management for each node in the subnets of the same public IP addresses. During installation, select the IP addresses different secondary use (recommended for the secondary DR) and specify the IP addresses public of both the secondary node and the head node.

  • Can I pair the 1st gen shows with a 6s performer 9.3.3

I have just inherited a 1st gen watch but am unable to cross the first hurdle in trying to pair it with my 6 s (OS 9.3.3).

I get the message that I should update my watch, but when I press on update now it checks updates, says my software of the watch is up-to-date with watch OS 1.0.1

When I try to manually associate my phone asks a code 6 digit displayed (that I finally got to the fifth or sixth test) but then continues to ask me to update the software > check the update > says the watch OS is up to date etc.

Is this all just not feasible or did I miss something?

You must restore the watch to remove completely from the previous owner. And to do that you will probably need the owner previous Apple ID and password or make him open the watch.

It requires the Apple ID and password from the previous owner. If you don't have it and can't get it, then the device is useless to you. Return it for a refund, if you can, or take it to an Apple store for an Exchange, I hope they will help you.

  • 6 s iPhone Bluetooth will pair with El Capitan Mac but does not connect

My employers very kindly gave me a brand new MacBook Pro running the most recent version (10.11.4) of Mac OS X.  What finish set up I need to pair my iPhone staff 6 (running iOS 9.3.1) to the computer I want to use MacID to secure my computer when I'm away from him.  While the phone would pair (pairing being initiated by the Mac) it would be briefly apply status 'connected' before going to "not connected".  When I then tried to establish a connection, I received the following message on the iPhone:

    Connection failure

    'MacBook Pro' is not supported

and the only option to close this dialog box click the device forget .

I therefore looked on my personal Mac which had previously been paired with the phone to find that he was is no longer listed in the devices Bluetooth, but when I looked in the settings for MacID running on my Mac it says "Looking for iPhone 6 s.  I tried to re-pair 6s iPhone to my personal machine and had the same results.  When I called in my TI guru we tried with his iPhone 6 (also installed 9.3.1) and had the same results.  As it's been a few months since I used MacID on my computer that I don't know when the link has been broken - after an update iOS or OS X update.  Bluetooth linking to my Apple Watch still works perfectly.  I was unable to try this out with any other Mac, I was looking for one with an older version of Mac OS X.

Everyone is aware of this problem or have an idea for a fix?

    TIA

An iPhone will not pair Bluetooth with a computer (Mac or Windows) for one use other than personal hotspot and it will only do that if the carrier is supported. However, there are a number of things will be using Bluetooth between the computer and the iPhone where the devices are NOT matched. More information in Bluetooth: why can not connect my iPhone or iPad with another iOS device or my computer?

The following link for MacID support site has instructions on how to do the installation. It requires Bluetooth to be turned on in the computer and the iPhone, but the rest of the configuration/connection is done inside the MacID app on each device, not normal Bluetooth pairing as follows: http://macid.co/help/?c=Setup & sc = Pairing % 20A % 20device

I'm trying to pair a bluetooth with the Tablet mouse. As many devices bluetooth, the mouse requires no password, but when I try to be coupled with Android insists that I get an access code, up to what I'm doing 'OK' is grayed out.

Ive tried 0000, 1234, and many others, but nothing works, because the mouse insists on no. password.

In Windows, it's easy because the windows bluetooth interface has an option "Access code no.", but is not present in Android

Anyone has any ideas of a round work?

    Hello

Found some details about supported on an AT200 BT profile:

+ Bluetooth HSP / HFP profile is not supported on the AT200 +.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB23039R0000R01.htm

I'm not quite sure what do use mouse BT BT profile but Bluetooth HSP (handset profile) and HFP (hands free profile) profile is not supported on the AT200 m

This is perhaps the reason for your question

  • IPhone requires data to use Apple Watch

My wife does not require the use of the data, but she would like to get an iphone and a Apple Watch, will work to watch if she gets only a plan and texting.  I guess some functions require access later and I hope that the WiFi would be nice.

    Hi Scott

Some of the features and services Apple Watch that can be used to involve the use of cellular data or Wi - Fi internet access.

Whenever possible, Apple Watch relies on its Bluetooth connection with paired iPhone. When it provides certain features and services through the watch, the iPhone can use mobile data / mobile or Wi - Fi. Apple Watch has no cellular function, can not use cellular data otherwise than through the iPhone.

Apple Watch offers a number of features when paired iPhone is either unavailable (e.g. disabled) or not in the Bluetooth range:

    • Play music from a playlist that has been synced to Apple Watch.
    • Use the watch for the time, as well as alarms, stopwatches and the clock.
    • Keep track of your activity (Stand, Move, exercise) with the application of the activity.
    • Follow the workouts with the application of the workout.
    • View photos of the synced photo album.
    • Use Apple pay for shopping.

If the watch is not connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth, but it is within range of a wireless (2.4 GHz) your iPhone plugged in before, the watch can connect to the network and you can also still:

    • Send and receive messages using iMessage.
    • Send and receive digital messages Touch.
    • Use Siri.
    • Make and receive phone calls if you have calls enabled Wi - Fi (depending on your operator).

Is it possible to have automatic display without going through the iPad also require the word to reactivate?

While at home, there is no reason to have the password, but I want the device to sleep to save battery when I put aside.

You should be able to have the settings > general > Autolock set for a time while having parameters > Passcode > Passcode turn off - you'll still have to "slide to unlock", but not to enter a password

  • 2016 iMac, purchase decision: why I'd get a 2 TB vs 1 TB disc fusion? What type of use requires a 2 TB with vs 128 GB 1 TB 24 GB flash version?

2016 iMac, purchase decision: why I'd get a 2 TB vs 1 TB disc fusion? What type of use requires a 2 TB with vs 128 GB 1 TB 24 GB flash version?

At first, we thought they were SSDS but learned that they are only partial. It really takes the extra storage space and our practices are mainly applications to business and other things like google earth, photos, the light using google sketchup etc. To know we are not the players or the designers. However, we do tend to keep our computers for a long time. We still have our 11 year old iMac. Are there benefits hidden suspension for the 2 TB drive that we regret or should stick us to the 1 TB version?  If we were to get a 2 TB we would notice even the difference account required to our practice?

It depends in part on the total amount of storage you need. One way to help determine which would be to analyze how much space you use on your current iMac. I currently have a MacBook Air, which has only 128 GB of total storage (all the flash) and it's big enough for me (though I'm not typical) and I really enjoy his performance. If I was in the market for an iMac, I'd be buying the 256 GB flash storage option - but I don't need total storage space. The information below from the link "how much storage is good for you" in the http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac?product=MK442LL/A & step = config

    can help

    Flash storage

Flash storage offers significantly improved compared to a traditional hard drive - performance speed you will notice when you start your iMac, launch an application or browse your photo library. Storage Flash also uses no moving parts, so it works silently. For maximum performance, you can configure up to 512 GB of memory flash on the iMac 21.5 inches or up to 1 TB on the iMac 27 inches.

    Fusion drive

Fusion drive handset storage quick flash with a large hard drive. OS X intelligently manages what goes where, using the Flash for files you access frequently and keep the rest of your digital life to the larger hard drive. Over time, the system learns how you work, so it suits the Fusion drive management view for work best for you. You can choose a Fusion drive up to 2 TB on the 21.5-inch iMac, and up to 3 TB on the iMac 27 inches.

Merge to disk 1 pairs of a hard disk of 1 TB with 24 GB of quick flash - enough to store files of OS X and applications in order to ensure a quick start, near wake instant sleep and quick application launch, with room remains for the most frequently used files and important applications. 2 to and 3 to pair of Fusion results in a hard drive more than 128GB of quick flash storage, offering even more space for your most frequently from the files used. For best performance, systems iMac with 32 GB of memory must be configured with a 2 to big merger or any flash storage.

  • iPhone will pair with iMac but immediately drop

Hi gang, I seem to have a problem, trying to pair my iPhone 6 (9.2.1) for an iMac (late 2013 and 27 in..). I actually had it connected before to this iMac and transfer was working, etc. So I'm not sure what has changed.

I go into preferences bluetooth on the iMac and my iPhone will appear in the list. I click on "Pair" and there the 6 digit code pop up on my iPhone to confirm that it is correct, etc. I type the pair on the iPhone and for about one second it displays "iPhone" on the iMac as 'connected', but then is changed to "not connected".

Also, if I then try to manually connect to the iPhone, he said "not iMac supported" and then delete the pairing.

I'm guessing that it's the iPhone because sometimes on 2 separate Macs. I have no problem, connect iPhone to any other device. I tried reseting my network preferences and then all preferences, but that did not work. Anyone has any ideas on this?

    Thank you.

You cannot associate an iPhone to any computer via bluetooth.

What you trying to accomplish? Transfer/continuity don't require pairing bluetooth, or did the personal hotspot function.

  • Keyboard Logitech K811 pairs, connects but won't type; keys do not work.

Have a Mac Pro Tower running OS X 10.6.8 build 10K 549, which should be the snow leopard.  The computer does not

Snow Leopard, it says "Mac OS extended (journaled) Version 10.6.8."  Keyboard, Logitech K811, lists requirements

10.6.8 or later, then it should work, even if it's the last (oldest) version he needs.

I can get it to PAIR, I can get it to CONNECT, but the keys don't work.  He do not type anything.  None of the keys do anything

    whatsoever, even if the computer and Bluetooth icon show paired and connected.  The keyboard is loaded;

    no battery low light showing.

Have you checked the Web from Logitech website to see if there is required software drivers?

  • You want a helmet pair BTA - 6030 Dongle & Logitech HS200 - what service?

    Hello

I'm using a Dongle of BTA - 6030 as station Bluetooth and I have a headset Logitech HS200, I want to make a pairing.
It is a headset stereo bluetooth with microphone on this subject. Very nice actually.

Now, using the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, I can match my helmet, 3 ways when you use the custom properties.
    These classes of service are:
    1 Audiosink
    2 hands-free kit
    3 helmet

The first gives a nice, good quality stereo sound, but not micro. The other 2 give the use of microphone, but the sound is mono, only one ear of the left earpiece.

I think I need an another "class of Service", but how do you choose one?

Who knows how I can configure the service to use manually? Because obviously the software does not provide the good by itself.

You're right that audiosink is for music (stereo, high audio quality, sets, audio-only streaming not the rear channel is required for micro for example). Handsfree (mono, low quality audio, two-way) for VoIP applications and headphones (mono, low quality audio, two-way) for manual use. However, you should also hear mono audio transmissions on both speakers of your device. If this isn't the case, then you have any other problem.

  • Cannot pair iwatch with any bluetooth device

No device is currently presented, it shows just looking...

What can I do?, is it is a problem of bluetooth?

You will find that you need to cancel your your iPhone Bluetooth device pairing (or any other device that already, it can be associated with) until you can pair it with your watch. If it is paired with your iPhone:

    • On your iPhone go to: settings > Bluetooth.
    • Look for the device in the list, then tap Forget this device.

To connect a Bluetooth headset or other Bluetooth with your Apple Watch device:

    • Turn on your Bluetooth device in discovery / pairing mode (follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the device).
    • On your watch, go to the home screen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) > tap Settings (cog icon) > Bluetooth.
    • Your watch will now search for Bluetooth accessories that are in discovery / pairing mode.
    • Choose your Bluetooth device when it is shown.
    • If required, enter a password or PIN.
