Palm TX connects to the computer via WiFi for Hotsync

I tried the network Hotsync on all my computers, XP, Vista 32 and Vista 64 (which started the whole attempt) and the device fails to connect to the computer, even if I set the IP address.

My wireless network see the Palm and I am able to access the Internet through it, but it does not connect to my computer. Any suggestions?

Here is my Wifi Hotsync help file:

WiFi HotSync with a TX

1. on your PC, locate the Manager HotSync (small HotSync icon in the lower tray of the right tool on a Winbox). Click top and check 'Network', then click again and select Setup.

2. choose the network at the top tab in the window that opens and locate your HotSync name in the list. Make sure it is checked.

3. press the button of TCP/IP and look for the IP listed for "main PC address. Write it down.

4. turn on the Wifi on your Palm and you connect to your router.

5. on your Palm, select the HotSync program and press the word "Network" over the HotSync icon in the middle of the screen. Below, enter the IP address that you noted in step 3. (Include periods!).

6. tap the HotSync icon big above the IP address and hang in there!

7. If you stand and nothing happens try a HotSync cable, then retry the HotSync Wifi. Sometimes, information is to be transferred from your PC once you check the network option. Also, don't forget to watch for any activity of firewall ask you questions about "HotSync.exe tries to access your hard drive" etc. You may need to define a rule to allow him to.

On your TX, check these settings in the drop in Hotsync:

Modem Sync: network

LanSync: LANSync

Network configuration: (Wifi should be listed as one of the networks)

  • Unable to connect to the computer using wifi

A got a new Sony HX30V and tried to use the feature "send to the computer. He is able to connect to the wi - fi home and also able to detect the name of the computer to which it is supposed to transfer the photos to. However, during the process to actually connect to the computer, it throws a "network error" after trying for about 30 seconds. I have Windows 8 running on my system. Any ideas how to solve this?

After spending hours and hours with exactly the same problem, I found the solution. I tried with 2 computers with different OS, 2 different networks, and I read a lot of posts...

The problem behind it is that you could not transfer images using WIFI while your computer is also connected via WIFI.  Then:

    (1) connect your computer using the connection of the cable to the access point.

    (2) connect the camera via USB to your computer and make sure that the PlayMemories software detects the camera.

    (3) then, unplug the unit and send images to the computer using WIFI.

If this does not work because the shipment never ends, and then review:

    (1) the battery should not be weak, or if she is then connect the camera to the power supply.

    (2) the distance from the camera to the access point must be short (maximum of 3 meters), otherwise it is too slow.

  • I'm trying to view the photos on my pc on my tv samsung, which has a wireless connection to the computer via the router. I spent a lot of time setting up, but it still does not work! Work.

Recently I bought a Samsung smart tv I want to connect it to my pc so that I can view the pictures and videos on my TV. I have a connection through the modem but the pictures do not appear on the TV.

I did the same thing only to realize that a standard USB cable will not work. Make sure that you connect your computer to your TV using a HDMI cable standard. They are not perfectly retangular than a USB cable and have edges around the corners of slightly rounded connectors. Can be purchased at most stores computers or shack radio for about 17 or 18 dollars 6 feet long.

  • Password required to connect to the computer (via a switch)

Hi, I have a home network of 3 computers connected through the switch. Both computers have Windows 7 and the other is under Vista. My Question is that when I try to access shared folders on my other computers while on my Vista PC, he asks me a username and password? I can't do that for 2 computers running Windows 7? I never know create a password. In any case, all 3 computers ping correctly and they link. Just that the main problem is that I don't know / have a username or password to access folders shared through Vista. What I should do or redo?

    Thanks Avijit_G

I thought that the problem was something more simple it took me a while to understand. But I had to disable password protected sharing in my network & sharing of installation on my machines to windows 7. But I'm glad it's working now. Thank you very much for giving me a helping hand.

I checked and all the settings are correct. Blue tooth is on and wifi etc...  Packing instructions mouse Sony are for Windows XP.  What is the problem?  It is not compatible with windows 8?

It's an idea.  A few months ago I downloaded Broadcom.com fresh Bluetooth drivers for my laptop Sony VAIO Windows 7 x 64.  Just in case, because I don't use Bluetooth at all so far.   There is a Guide to Broadcom Wireless Bluetooth in my folder Bluetooth in the start menu, maybe you have also.  You could also ask a Sony VAIO support forum, or even to buy the mouse USB cable is cheaper than you can get up to find a solution for your wireless mouse.  No kidding, without cable you'll need a battery.

  • iPod classic connects to the computer

    Hello

I have an iPod classic, since 2005.

It will charge from the grid, but when you plug it into the computer it does nothing... Does not make a noise, does not load... Nothing, only thing that happens is that when you disconnect the computer screen lights illuminates... tried all USB ports, still is not, tried 3 computers, does not work on any...

so I tried 2 more iPods, an iPod classic in 2004 and it worked fine. Tried an iPod nano of 2007 once again absolutely worked well...

really annoying me now that I want to sync music on the classic...

tried resetting the iPod, tried to run in the other mode keeping the home button and menu, press the button home-and play... None of them worked either

    Jake

When you "recharge sector" (which I assume means an adapter of any), are you using the docking cable that you use with the computer?  When you connect iPod from 2004 and 2007 iPod nano to the computer, you use the same USB docking cable used with the iPod in 2005?

Is the power supply adapter ("hands") accomplice of old load powering FireWire supported, not USB load?  Accessories older load use FireWire instead of USB charging, which has a different voltage and uses different "pins" on the dock connector.  An iPod from 2005 (probably a 5th generation "video" iPod) to connect to the computer via a USB port, but it can recharge using the USB or FireWire power.

If you can confirm that the port host USB cable to connect the iPod in 2005 is good, my guess is that the 2005 iPod dock connector will not properly connect to USB power.  It can be worn or damaged.  Therefore, it does not connect to the USB port on the computer.  However, it always connects to FireWire, so she received the adapter (which feeds the FireWire).

Use a flashlight to look inside the iPod dock connector, to visually check for damage, corrosion, dust or debris.
