Palm zire 71 sync on 64-bit windows 8? all solutions please

already installed on a PC running XP. Synchronize new PC running windows 8

You must check with Palm to see if they support Windows 8. As far as I KNOW, they have not.

Suggestions, how can it clears and the hot sync enabled?

It is a system of exploitation of 64-bit Microsoft Windows 8.1.

    Thank you

    You will need to:

    1. install Palm Desktop 6.2.2 (search for one of Wyrenut sons, where he links to it, a recent reshuffle of the forums by HP removed the stickied thread that kept the top of this forum where it was easy to see);
    2. Install the Aceeca 64 bit drivers (also doing a search here for synchronization with windows 64-bit); and
    3. install PalmHotsyncSetup of www.pimlicosoftware.com , which should make your M500 more compatible with the latest Palm Desktop.

    Good luck.

What can I do to get Adobe products to work?
The yellow bar at the top of many Web pages require products Adobe must be installed to view.
For example, the following message appears on some Web pages:
«This websight wants to install the following add on: Adobe Flash Player install, Adobe Systems Inc..» If you trust the website and the add-on to install it, click here. "When I click on it and install it, nothing happens! Is there a compatibility issue with 64 bit of Windows 7 and Adobe Flash Player? And is there a way around this problem so that I can view these pages?

Adobe Flash Player does not work with the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer 8, please use the 32-bit version. Click Start > all programs > Internet Explorer (one who is not listed as 64-bit).

  • Hot Sync Palm Z22 with 64 bit Windows 7

I just bought a new Sony Vaio running 64-bit Windows 7 and I am unable to Hot Sync my Palm Z22 to my computer.  I've been a Palm user for years, my being my model 3 of the current one and it has been my lifeline, but I am very agitated and frustrated that Palm people haven't posted updates to manage my current situation.  Everything I've read here indicates that the extra money to go towards infrared and some people are not yet a success while others have long struggled to finally make sync.  Someone out there a similar situation as mine, which would be ready to give me advice as to what I have to do and how to do in order to get my Palm to connect with my 64-bit Windows 7 platform?  Thanks to all those who are able to help.

I have a new Asus with Win7 x 64 and after looking here and there in the way of the IR. Find for less than $10 on ebay, delivered USB iRda devices. Bought one, installed, Windows downloaded the new driver and worked straightup. $10 spent wisely, will give me a few more years with my trusty Palm.

  • Satellite L500 - 21dts & 8 64-bit Windows

I changed my OS to 64-bit windows 8, all material defined by windows except chipset & blutooth (I set them once Windows 7, once of the latest model as L830). but the function key does not work do not (for wirekess/blutooth power).

Are there drivers for L500-21dts for windows 8 64-bit or specific drivers for compatible models new?

    > Are there any drivers for L500-21dts for 64-bit windows 8...
On http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/checkWindows8Compatible.do?service=EU, you can check if your laptop is supported for Win8 OS.

One more thing: your laptop is an Intel HM55 Express Chipset. It is interesting that Tecra A11 with PTSE0E part number has the same chipset, and it is supported for Win8 then you can try to use the chipset offered for this laptop Tecra driver.

  • Microsoft does support Music Match since they bought it. It won't work in 64-bit windows program 7

I prefer Music Match to other music programs, but it won't work in a 64-bit program

    Hi Duane,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. From your problem description, I understand that you can not install MusicMatch on 64-bit Windows 7 computer. Please correct me if I misunderstood.

Duane, I recommend you check out the link http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/en-US/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Type=Software&Name=MUSICMATCH Jukebox & Version = 10 & Vendor = MusicMatch & local = en . It seems that the application is not compatible with Windows 7. We can try to install the application in Windows XP compatibility mode and check. Do follow the steps in the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows link and check.

If you have more questions or if you are having problems with Windows it please let us know and we will be happy to help you.

    Thanks in advance!

-L'installation for 64-bit Windows will not install on 32-bit Windows. All the EM installed incorporate checks to ensure
product specifications are met, including the host operating system.
-FYI: A 64-bit VM on a 32 bit OS host hosting is possible, but:
-not a config of high performance because it requires treatment treatment. May be OK for a test or prototype, but you
wouldn't want this config for a production site
-This still requires 64-bit hardware, so you can run a native 64-bit operating system. Oracle Linux would be a good
    choice :)

  • Palm TX 32 bit Windows 7 Pro of XP Update: use XP mode? Or Win 7?

I'm really good at making fatal mistakes with technology and my Palm is too critical to risk, so I bought a portable 32-bit, Windows 7 pro and XP mode installed.

I've scoured the forums, but all I can find are problems/solutions with 64 bit (which is what scares me in the first place, of course).

First of all, I should install in XP mode?  Or install Win 7 on a 32-bit computer will go smoothly?

Secondly, can I use my original disc with the 4.2 version of Palm Desktop?

Finally, for my peace of mind, you kindly check my checklist of errors, omissions or dangerous areas.

    (1) synch the device from Palm desktop

    (2) backup on my SDCard with NVBackup

    (3) open the XP mode - or do not open XP mode as you recommend

    (4) install Palm desktop (disc or download that recommend)

    (5) enter the same username as on the device / xp computers

    (6) change in Organizer substitute Office

    (7) with the sync cable. Make tea. Be calm.

    (8) check data on handheld and the desktop to find errors.

    (9) when somewhat confident everything goes well, return led to synchronize except for stays of backup as handheld overrides desktop. (not sure why, but it's the default I guess.)

    Thank you

    Off the hook

    SUCCESS!

Thank you all very much. I danced around the kitchen.

I had a few problems, and that means a question.

After installation I plugged the cable in and upward jumped a box "Installing the driver software" telling me "software device driver was not installed successfully. I thought it was over, and that's my question. What does that mean? Because the next thing that happened, thought I had nothing to lose but hope, I tried a synch, and incredibly, it worked. I made a small change in the calendar and it synchronized at the back of the unit.

He also tells me there is a problem with the quick installation then took me to do nothing.

In addition, in case it might help someone, disable UAC in Win7 is slightly different from that of Vista. Go to "edit your user account settings" and set the cursor to "Don't warn.  At this time, I went on the internet for security. And it's a little annoying, because after that you have to restart the computer. And when HotSync is done, you go back to the control panel and restart and then restart.

WyreNut, I smiled when I saw your post.  I always assumes that the volunteers on the technology forums (which, in a just world, would be paid buckets of moolah for their help) are early and that you would be all Win8 (and the curse, I suppose). But I guess that help you here because if something works (such as Palm) why spend.

I kudo has you all and would buy you champagne if I could.

    Confused, but less.

  • Palm Zire 71 works only with Windows Vista

I recently updated a program that I use on my desktop and sync with my Palm Zire 71. To get the new update on my Palm, I tried to use Palm quick install. I believe that this does not work with Windows Vista!  What are my options?  I don't know how to get this update on my Palm so that I can synchronize my data between my desktop and Palm Zire 71. Any suggestions for this?

  • Palm Zire 71 and Windows 7 - device is not recognized

The computer does not recognize the device. It's like the USB port isn't there.  Nothing wrong with the port or connections.  Is this a compatibility issue with Windows 7 and the Palm Zire 71?

    Hi Marianne,.

    1. What is the exact error message you get when you try to connect to the device?

    2. what type of system of your computer (System 32-bit or 64-bit)?

Palm Zire 71 is compatible with Windows 7 32 - bit system but incompatible with the 64-bit system.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&s=Palm%20Zire%2071&type=hardware&OS=32-bit

I suggest to uninstall the installed driver for Palm Zire 71 software and reinstall them using once more.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

Also, connect the device to another computer in Windows 7 and check if it works very well.
