• How to move photos in containers in the print module

  I'm a newbie trying to create a collage of photos in Lightroom on Windows 8 4. I did a lot of videos from Lynda.com and other tutorials online, but am having a problem with the print module. I can drag my photos on the printed page and resize them without any problem, but what I want to do is to effectively crop part of the photo to the size of the container, but only in this printing page (I don't want the photo in my library to crop).

  I hit the Ctrl button and the little hand icon (as do the small squares on the edges of the photo to change the size) but when I drag with the CTRL key, nothing happens - I'd expect the picture to circulate inside the container, but it is not.   Probably I'm missing something basic, but if someone could point out, it would be much appreciated as I am very close to my first collage sent to the printer!

  First click left on the image that you want to move in the frame and release your mouse button (i.e. simply click once) - the framework will then show the small squares on the sketch - then press Ctrl / Cmd and the cursor will change to the little hand that allows you to move the image.

  Be aware, though, that you can move the image to only be up/down or left/right, according to the shape of the image and the frame.

  BTW: You write "part of the picture of cultures." It's not crop the image, it's that moving in the frame.

• No 'custom size' option in the print module?

  In the print module, I want to create a layout of large format to send to a third-party printer via PDF (16 x 20 in this case). However, in the page setup/paper sizes, no option appears to "manage custom sizes. The only available sizes are limited to my desktop printer settings, which I do not wish to use. Why the 'custom size' does not appear in the paper size list, and how do I create a large PDF format for download?

  If I sent a single image to print rather than an array of pictures on a page, I'd probably just use export as others have said, above. However, in my LR 5.6, if I change the type of output to JPEG, I see an option to customize the dimensions of this JPG output file.  I have to adjust the size of the cell if the virtual page has different dimensions of the physical origin of the selected printer page.  I have a HP LaserJet printer set as my output printer before moving on to the JPG format.  I see this option customize folder size in all three layout Styles: single Image / Contact Board, Picture Package, custom Package.

  

• Why each 'page info' is not within the parameters of plug-ins?

  When I check my plugins, add ons, updates, there is the option blocks right that define whether or not to 'Always enable' or 'always ask '. My question is:-for each page that opens, there is an "information page" option, we can check to see/check what is allowed or blocked under permissions... And * what permission settings "" ARE for this * page. Why EACH page does not display the settings of permissions that we already have on the screen * (?) plugins. EACH page must have the permissions again for EACH domain/server/site provider. Why * are not the settings on the screen of Plugins used * AS 'Default' for each page/site/domain, etc.. ? Note *-If I do not change permissions to "allow" for some plugins page won't work *.

   Also, the "Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.450.18  10.45.2.18" still* shows as "Vulnerable" After* updating (verified update*). So I found the option to 'Disable' this particular plugin. Now it displays at the bottom of the Plugin page, greyed out.  However*... after updating to Java "SE7 U45" (..for 1 [One*] day ONLY, it showed as Up-to-Date, NOT vulnerable, on every 'page info' screen*) ... and Actually, it Still Does show as Up-To-Date after an Update check*..(??)... But on EVERY page info screen the "Java(TM) Platform SE7 U--Vulnerable Plugin!"  is displayed (?).  How can it be Up-To-Date and OK on the plugin check screen,  but show as a "Vulnerable Plugin" on EVERY 'Page Info' screen?
  

  Hello jhudson253, the parameter of plug-ins that you select in the addon Manager will be the default for all sites, unless you choose something else for a particular site. This could be useful in a situation where you usually want to retain a disabled plugin, but need to work on one site for example...

  regarding the java plugin, now firefox will consider each version of the plugin (current or not) as vulnerable by default: this step has been taken due to the recording of bad security of oracle in the past (seated on fixed vulnerabilities for months).

• Upgrade to version 42 and now the menu edit page info file is missing. I use it all the time and want to come back. Any suggestions?

  I've recently updated Firefox to version 42. On the old version, I could go tools-> Page Info and there would be a menu typical Edit at the top where you can select, copy, etc. On the new version this menu is absent and Ctrl C/Ctrl V do not work. Any suggestions on how to get that back?

  Try to rename (or delete) the file xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder.

  I used right click and View Page Info - Media inside tab - to see pictures, backgrounds, and other media on a specific page. Now after the upgrade to FF42, this tab is missing, the only other three tabs are always available.

• Accessibility: why is there no shortcut for Page Info in Windows?

  On Linux and Mac, there is a keyboard shortcut for Page Info:
  Linux: ctrl + I
  Mac: cmd + I
  but there is no shortcut for Windows relatives, we are forced to use a mouse. An extension should not be required for basic accessibility features.

  I agree that a keyboard command to open the Info Page on the Windows of Firefox versions should be standard, but unfortunately {Ctrl + I} always open the bookmarks bar, which cam also open with {Ctrl + B}.

• Print / options of the printer is no longer available in LR print module.

  After years of lightroom printing suddenly printing and printer options are no longer available - only "print to file".  Cannot find preferably associated with the print module.  Help!

  Is there not a little down that allows you to change the file to the printer? There on my Lightroom. What version? What OS?

• Print module - print files options

  When the creation of JPEG files using the library, Lightroom 4 module export feature gives you very detailed control on the export options, including automated rules for the structure of folder/file name.

  When you create JPEG files using "print to a file" in the print module, orders appear to be much more limited. In particular, the folder/file name must be specified manually for each print job.

  Is there a way to keep (or add) the name of original file when exporting the print module, run by typing manually for each image?

  (For the context: my print lab requires that submitted files exactly match the impression, pixel for pixel, so that everything works correctly.) If the file does not, their print driver will evolve and crop until it is. So, if I use the library module export feature and the format of the file is different from that of the closest available book, two edges can get reframed. Or, in other words, I fill the image with white bars to fill the proportions of paper if I want to print like I want it. The print module creates files that are perfect for my needs. "But, since I can't find a way to keep the file name, the print data back on hard copies - I need 8 years later to find the original when a print is ordered - are unnecessary.)

  The problem of creating files to overcome the automated functions of "zoom to fill" in the laboratories of printing can be solved with 'Mogrify, LR2' export plugin available from http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrmogrify2.php

  Among the features plug-in adds external borders of your favorite color for cushion of picture for a given duration (pixels or/mm) formats while maintaining the original proportions. For example if you want to end up with a draw 10 x 8, but start with a photo in the format 6 x 4 (1.5) the long side can be used as them say 1000 pixels in length and the size of the short side will be created from the original pixels now 666 and bordered on part and the other 166.  (It will be clearer once you've explored a bit.)

  The plugin features are added to the export module to allow to use your preferred naming convention.  Good luck

• My Lr5.7.1 does not recognize my printer Epson XP-760 and after customize printing in the print Module, printing options (lower right AND Main Menu > Archive > print) are disabled

  I am running Lr5.7.1 on an iMac, retina 5K (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1).) My printer (Epson XP-760) works fine with all other applications, but not with Lr! After choosing my printing preferences in the print Module, it works if I select print file and save it to the desktop and then return to preview and print from there. This is not what I want. I expect that the print button (bottom-right) should be disabled and not disabled and send to the printer directly from in the Lr print Module. It doesn't matter if the printer is turned on Wi - Fi or USB (or even both).

  What is the problem? What else can you or should I do to make it work as I hope?

  My Swedish is not good, but I think that you print on file. Did you try chaning where it says JPEG it changed printer?

  You might also on 5.7. On Lr if you go to the Help\System of information, what is the version number? If she is 5.7, you're not on 5.7.1. Yo can still update manually, go to Adobe - Lightroom: for Macintosh: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1, download the dmg and install.

• Problem by using the print Module in Lightroom 6

  I use Lightroom 6 on a PC of Windows 8.1.  In the print Module, when I choose layout, a box appears called the Print Setup.  The properties of the binding button shows only the layout and Orientation.  Back in the configuration of printing, paper size, gives only 2 choices - A4 or letter and Source Automatic Watch select only as an optiion.  I watched the tutorials on the print Module and they show a lot more options in these areas.  I'm stuck and all advice would be accepted with gratitude

  Something just cross my mind... Be sure to use a driver downloaded from the printer manufacturer's home page. The drivers supplied with Windows sometimes are universal types that have limited functionality.

  in the print module, I have 4 images on a single sheet, I normally check watermark and it automatically my watermark on each node of the image, but I get only the watermark on the image node?

  There are two functions that can have is is scrambled here: "Watermark" and "identity plate". These can be configured independently.

  A watermark is always "by the image", I think. But an identity plate is "per page", UNLESS you check the option "render on each image.

  While on FB a few days ago the page suddenly recharged without any picture although I do not know after pressing something in particular. Despite the closure and reopening, they have not returned. However, when I connect via the Explorer on the same computer the normal FB page with photos appears.

  With Facebook on display, click on the site identity button (for more details on this button, see the How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure? section), and then click more information. This will open the page info dialog box.

  First, select the permissions tab, make sure that 'Load the Images' is set to allow (default selection should work as well)

  Then select the media tab, and then click the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll the list. If any element has the option 'Images of block of (field name)' selected, deselect the option.

  This should hopefully solve your problem, but see also the problems that cause to not show images.

  Some add-ons can also block images, for example, if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block images.

• change the margins in the print module

  Since a few days, I work with LR CC on an iMac. I imported several templates in the print module. Now on a landscape A4 page LR used margins (right 1.44 cm and left 0.64 cm) and I can't change them. On all models of mij LR straing margins there. How can I remove the margins?

  To set the margins to 0, you must first open the printer driver settings (inside LR print module) and set the edge mode printer driver.

  LR load minimum border, it shows the driver.
