PanelGridLayout, iterator, foreach

Hello

I want to display a different (from a ViewObject) line in each cell PanelGridLayout?

do I have to use iterator and foreach component or only one?

and which component is better (as you recommend)?

Thank you

I use jdeveloper 12 c (12.1.3)

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Action expect to get the name of a stream of navigation that is defined in your adfc - config.Xml.

If what you have is a URL that you run to, then you must use the destination property and the property of the binding component action.

• Question about lesson 1-7, slide 2: Iterable.forEach () and parallel execution

As stated in the previous parts of this lesson, the library can choose to run lambda expressions in parallel.

In the example: the final execution using Iterable.forEach () result will be same as using a traditional loop?

Using a traditional loop that you are sure that the items in the list are printed in the order they are in the list.

This is not always true using Iterable.forEach (), since the items could be printed by different threads?

"... the library can choose to perform lambda expressions in parallel."

I wanted to clarify a little.

The general rule is that parallel execution can occur if the particular library used API allows him, and it is usually under the control of the programmer. For example, lambdas in parallel flow (which will be addressed later in the MOOC) can be run in parallel, but the programmer must explicitly request parallelism. If the API says nothing about parallel (or asynchronous) execution, then those that don't occur.

If Iterable.forEach runs sequentially, and the underlying class specified an order, the execution will take place in this order.

• AF:foreach nested in panelGridLayout

12.1.3 Jdev

Hello.

I'm building a panelGridLayout with 2 labels of af: forEach as in the following code. The first af:forEach is for a loop of 10 (will be replaced by the EL expression to get the number of the bean) number of rows. The second af:forEach is to loop through and create 6 cells in each row. For the first line being forEach would begin = '0' end '5' =, = "6" end = "11" be forEach would begin by the second row, third row would be forEach start = "12" end = "17", etc.. Thus, the formula would begin = "0 + (row * 6)" end = "5 + (row * 6)". How can I define a formula like this in the begin and end in forEach?

< af:panelGridLayout id = "pgl8" >

< af:forEach var = "row".

start = end of the '0' = '9' step '1' = >

< af:gridRow marginTop = '5px' height = 'auto' marginBottom = "5px" id = "gr9" >

< af:forEach elements = "#{bindings." Var ItasObjectCategoriesVO3.rangeSet}"="item.

Start = '0' end stage '5' = '1' = >

< af:gridCell marginStart = "5px" width = "17%" id = "CG25" >

< af:link text = ' #{point.» DisplayName}"id ="l1"/ >

< / af:gridCell >

< / af:forEach >

< / af:gridRow >

< / af:forEach >

< / af:panelGridLayout >

Timo thanks for the tip. I found that the proper syntax is:

#{(vs.index*6)} and #{(vs.index*6) + 5}

• Two unexpected local variable when iterating over the array of containers.

Hello

I have to iterate over an array of containers. In the ForEach loop step variables format, I've defined two variables; It is common, second is the current item.

The loop works very well.

However, during the process of debugging, I spotted two new variables inhabitants called the __ElementSibling0 (type: number) and __ForEachReleaser0 (type: reference obj) created in silence by TS as soon as I start the iteration on my table. What is?

They exist because:

1. I iterate over an array of containers, or

2. I use the _currentElement_Freq variable, or

3. It's always like that?

Those that are used by the implementation to each step. You can see them only because you have enabled the setting display the properties hidden.

You can safely ignore their presence.

• Index of ForEach

I have a problem by specifying the current index at the stage of ForEach.

I have a local array of containers called FreqContainer where each container contains three numbers: LoFreq, MidFreq and HiFreq.

On the loop ForEach is tab table to iterate on: Locals.FreqContainer, the current item and the current offset are empty. The current index is a string, Locals.Iteration.

At a stage in the foreach loop, I'm trying to access one of the elements using the:

Locals.CurrentFreqMHz = Locals.FreqContainer [Locals.Iteration]. MidFreq

Index is a problem, it seems to be '[' [0]'] '.

Could not find a lot of useful documentation or examples of ForEach.

Thank you, jvh

Assuming that you have a table of base zero unique dimension, you must use current offset, no current index.

The index is a string so that it can return a multidimensional index in a single value. To use it in an expression, you must call Evaluate such as:

Evaluate ("Locals.MyArray" + Locals.Subscript) = 10

• AF:iterator does not display the var values

I am confused because I know works from the iterator, so miss me something here, I hope that something simple.

JDeveloper 12.1.3.0.0

My bean, I have a simple method that returns a list of objects that implement Serializable.

The jsff calls the iterator, and this is where it gets weird.

< af:iterator id = "fe_0" varStatus = "stat" value = "#{mybean.selectedParameters}" var = "param" > "

< af:outputText value = "name: #{param.name}" / > "

< / af:iterator >

The result, however, still shows name: worthless.

I know there is a value, because if I use af:forEach instead, it works fine, but the causes of other issues, so I'd rather get iterator to work.

< af:outputText value = "Index: #{stat.index}" / > displays the index correctly, but something weird with the var object. "

Any ideas?

Thank you

• var in < af:iterator > does not work

Dear all,

Need your help to understand a problem. I'm trying to simulate a tree (2 levels) using < af:iterator >, < af:outputText > and < af:button > where clicking on the button makes his children.

I use < af:setPropertyListener > to store the object (current node) var in a Backing Bean, so that I can go get her children using an actionListener. This works perfectly for the 1st time. After partialTriggers UI renders correctly but clicking on the newly made buttons, old var (node) object is get stored in the Backing Bean and also if the number of rendered buttons, are more than the 1st round, then < af:setPropertyListener > is not yet known.

<af:panelGridLayout id="pgl1" partialTriggers="i1:b2">
<af:iterator id="i1" value="#{outline.root.children}" var="node">
<af:gridRow id="gr2" height="34px">
<af:gridCell id="gc2" valign="middle">
<af:outputText id="ot2" value="#{node.name}"/>
</af:gridCell>
<af:gridCell id="gc3" valign="middle">
<af:button text="" id="b2" actionListener="#{outline.onButtonClick}" icon="#{resource['images:right.png']}">
<af:setPropertyListener from="#{node}" to="#{outline.selectedNode}" type="action"/>
</af:button>
</af:gridCell>
</af:gridRow>
</af:iterator>
</af:panelGridLayout>

What could be the problem in the code above?

Thanks in advance.

In fact, the problem was due to the scope. Earlier, that's asking to reach. I changed it in sight and it started working

• result of foreach not getting attached to the export-csv

Hello people,

I am trying to learn powercli. I use under commads to get information for VMs. looks like the results not add in the csv file. CSV file shows the result of the latest VM in import-csv file.

Q1 - can you please help identify what is bad in the commands below?

Q2 - How can I use a single export-csv command to get an output of lines both (get - vm and get-cluster)?

$vmname = import-csv "C:\vmname.csv".
{foreach ($_.name in $vmname)}
Get - vm $_.name | Select 'Name', 'Host ' | export-csv - UseCulture - NoTypeInformation C:\vmname-host-info.csv
Get-cluster - vm $_.name | Select 'name ' | export-csv - UseCulture - NoTypeInformation C:\vmcluster-info.csv}

Thank you!

You're crushed the CSV file with each iteration of the loop.

Why do you want to produce 2 CSV files? Is it not easier to keep all the info in 1 file?

Her you could do something like that

$vmname = import-csv "C:\vmname.csv".
& {{foreach ($_.name in $vmname)}}
Get - vm $_.name | Select 'Name","Host",@{N="Cluster '; E = {Get-Cluster - VM $_______ |} Select name - ExpandProperty}}

}} | Export-csv - UseCulture - NoTypeInformation C:\vm-info.csv

But the best is to use the track more PowerShell

$vmname = import-csv "C:\vmname.csv".

Get-VM-name $vmname |

Select Name,Host,@{N="Cluster; E = {Get-Cluster - VM $_______ |} Select name - ExpandProperty}} |

Export-csv - UseCulture - NoTypeInformation C:\vm-info.csv

• Disclosure of Panel in the iterator after refresh

I have an iterator that contains a group box that he revealed the vs.first value, so that the first element is disclosed and others are not.

This works very well for refreshes as much data as you want, unless you change the disclosure of all the boxes in the chart.

Once this is the case it breaks if the last event of disclosure before data refresh was to show one of the panels, then all THE panels will be disclosed; If the last event has been to hide one of the panels, then all THE panels will be disclosed.

Then spread on all updates of data then.

Is there a way to fix this? What obvious thing I am doing wrong?

We're on adf 11 (but can wait up to 12 for a fix) and we do not use JDeveloper.

Here is an excerpt of the structure involved in case this is useful...

<af:iterator var="result" value="#{viewScope.tester.results}" varStatus="vs" rows="0" binding="#{viewScope.tester.resultIterator}" rendered="#{!viewScope.tester.noResultsReturned}">
<af:panelBox showHeader="#{viewScope.tester.multiRecordOut ? 'always' : 'never'}" text="#{af:formatString(msg.ws_test_record, vs.index + 1)}" disclosed="#{vs.first}">
<af:panelFormLayout labelWidth="25%" fieldWidth="75%">
<af:iterator var="att" value="#{result}" rows="0">

</f:facet>
<af:inputText id="resatt" value="#{att.value}" rows="#{att.simple ? 1 : 2}" />
</af:panelLabelAndMessage>
</af:iterator>
</af:panelFormLayout>
</af:panelBox>
</af:iterator>
</af:panelGroupLayout>

Thank you

Hello

you have two iterators: af:iterator and af:forEach. AF:foreach create instances of the component, which means that the components are treated individally. AF:iterator is like a table without chrome and you do not have individual treatment of lines. Don't know what the problem was with af:forEach, but for the use case you are looking for once it seems that af: forEach is the best choice

• BPEL 2.0: assessment of the values of node in the forEach loop

[With the help of BPEL 2.0, SOA Suite 11 (11.1.1.6.0) Linux Virtual Box on Windows 7]

It seems like it should be pretty simple, but for some reason that is eluding me. I run a database query to return a list of nodes in the network in a system. then I execute a forEach income statement using a number of XML nodes as a limit of loop. It all works very well.

That is the problem. now, I'm just (?) try to assign the value of the current node UID in the loop to a local variable, using concat and the loop index. Thus, the value should be something like "401" or "523". However, what I actually get back is concatenated XPath itself, as well as the iteration of the loop, my variable is as follows:

[< currentNetworkNodeID xsi: type = "def:string" > $networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode/ns6:executionNetworkNodeUid[1] < / currentNetworkNodeID >
...
[< currentNetworkNodeID xsi: type = "def:string" > $networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode/ns6:executionNetworkNodeUid[2] < / currentNetworkNodeID >
etc...

I tried to reach "/ text()" to the end, using ora:getNodeValue (...), etc., but nothing I tried to will give me my value of the current node. If I just use "$networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode/ns6:executionNetworkNodeUid", I get an error of multiple selection, as expected, because there is always more than one executionNetworkNodeUid.

How I can truly assess these XPath expressions to assign the node real value to my variable...? I can do this in a simple entitled, as I'm doing, or what I have to use a transformation...?

Here is the code:

< parallel forEach = "" counterName = "nodeCounter."
name = "forEachNetworkNode" >
< startCounterValue > 1 < / startCounterValue >
< finalCounterValue > count($networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode) < / finalCounterValue >
< name of scope = "Scope1" >
< variables >
< variable name = "currentNetworkNodeID" type = "xsd: String" / >
< / variables >
< name of sequence = sequence of '1' >
< assign the name = "assignCurrentNodeID" >
< copy >
([< to > concat('$networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode/ns6:executionNetworkNodeUid[',$nodeCounter,'] ') < / from >
< to > $currentNetworkNodeID < /pour >
< / copy >
< / assign >
< / sequence >
< / scope >
< / forEach >

Edited by: rhoward on April 3, 2013 15:08

Should not just $networkNodesOutputVariable.ExecutionNetworkNodeCollection/ns6:ExecutionNetworkNode/ns6:executionNetworkNodeUid[$nodeCounter] without using concat?

• AF:iterator rangesize - collectionmodel not bounded to any VO

If we have some components inside the af: iterator and the collectionModel size greater than 25 then the additional component is not displayed or rendered.
for example... you have a list with the size that 38 and you map it to an af:iterator who does is display af:inputText component during execution, you'll see only 25 inputbox. the remaining 13 inputText will not be rendered.

I have solved this problem by using af:foreach, but is there a way to define the rangesize for one: component iterator so that we can control the size. Or is this a bug?

I have not tried in another version of jdev Jdev version 11.1.1.4.

Have you tested the rows of the af property: iterator?

• AF:iterator and oracle.jbo.RowIterator

I have a table that is bound to a data control that displays its lines. However, inside one of the table columns Im trying to access a ViewLink accessor method and iterate through the items. The method is running and I can even display the number of rows from the rowset, but the af: iterator does not have to go through the items. I can not use forEach since Im going to the var 'line' of a table.

• EJB data iterator control

Need advice on how to implement a certain use case.

I'll get the results of a findAll() EJB entity via a data control on the web page of the Center.

Based on the number of results, we want to create a panelTabbed component which shows each complete record in his own showDetailItem.

I don't see a component ready to JDeveloper for it - I am aware that I have to fill out an iterator (from the list returned by EJB) and loop through it to view the panelTabbed children.

Is this fair? What is the implementation required for this - that is how to pass the list of EJB to an iterator or directly to the panelTabbed?

You should be able to do this with a foreach:

I am not quiet sure on the expression of the itmes attribute but you should be able to find this... If you haven't, let me know :)

• AF:iterator and get the values of a particular line

Hello

I use af:iterator to browse a set of results in the original Version.

< af:iterator binding = "#{backingBeanScope.backing_subscribe.i1} '"
value = "#{bindings." SubscriptionPublicView1.collectionModel}.
var = "row".
ID = "i1" >

At each iteration, I display a row of data since my VO in a box.

Each box has a Link command.

In general, the bean of my support, I do something like this to get an iterator attribute out of sight.

Line currentRow = getIterator("SubscriptionPublicView1Iterator").getCurrentRow ();
int sid = (Integer) currentRow.getAttribute ("Sid");

However, in this case, I always get the "sid" from the first record in the collectionModel and not the "sid" which corresponds to the commandLink selected by the user.

What is the best way to do when using an af:iterator?

Thank you

Joel

Joel,
Take a look at this video: http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/classic_api_mistakes_part2/classic_api_mistakes_part2.html
In there, Frank shows how to use af:iterator and af:forEach and to avoid warnings.

It seems that you do not set the current line, so that you always get the value of the first row.
