    • The search bar can be moved.
    • The address bar is pinned in place, unless you install Classic theme restaurateur.

  • Bing toolbar blocks the Google toolbar

I had a problem with a Google toolbar disappeared once I downloaded a system adobe to play a video that I found on a popular web site. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, with a system of Vista Home Premium on a 64 bit system, I'm also very much a newbie to computers. I went through a system restore and reboot system to restore the toolbar without result, I also crossed the default program and gone through everything that I could find to get the tool bar in the rear, but so far without success. I used a Superanti-Spyware to find a bug, but all what we found was an adware cookie. I then uninstalled system adobe I thought that may be the cause of the problem thinking that if there was a bug perhaps it gravitated to one of those infected. I then ran the anti-spyware again and then downloaded the new Adobe systems program, but that did not help either, I also ran a Norton antivirus and system MY system and all came out them clean. There was an Adobe system still on the system that I didn't realize was Adobe and I didn't bother with it again because I found something which I think is a problem. I found that the Tools section of the Bing toolbar has a link to the Google bar tool I chkd to get the new toolbar and I got a pop up that asked if I wanted to turn off other parts of the Google bar but I cancelled it. It doesn't have to bring back the toolbar, while I was doing all this disappeared from my Yahoo toolbar and I went back to the same section of the Bing toolbar and double checked the Yahoo tool bar section and she came back. I also had a suggestion to clk on a triangle next to the magnifying glass in the search bar, but I can't find it on this computer. I also had a suggestion by restarting (I guess you could call it) toolbar Bing by clking beginning, clkIE, tools of clk, Internet Options, advanced, clk clk clk Reset, chking box remove personal settings, reset the dialog box settings of IE, clk, Reset, then close clk and clk OK. Once it is I opened the browser again and went to tools, toolbars find toolbar Yahoo and clkd it, a new pop until requested (I think) to restore the bar I clkd Yes and the bar is reappeared. I went back to do the Google bar and clkd on this subject, but instead of a pop up asking if I wanted to restore the Google bar, he asked if I wanted to turn off different parts of the Google bar, I clke cancel and the bar appear. If the section completely ignored Google pop up asking allow the bar. Another thing that has happened is that when I go looking for anything mentioning the Google toolbar and clk on that computer displays a Yahoo tool bar/page. It doesn't matter if it's the icon of Google on the screen or in the part of the program on the start menu that appears. It's almost like the Google bar has been uninstalled completely and the only thing left is the Google search box at the top right of the screen of the computer. And yet, there was nothing happens to indicate that he had no lead going on, at first I thought it was just a glitch of the Adobe system, then I thought it was a bug, now I think there is a glitch in the Bing toolbar or the Google bar has been moved to a file that is not connected to the Bing toolbar. Bing certainly can't seem to find the Google bar and maybe it has been uninstalled but I don't know how it happened. All advice on what happened and what I can do to fix this would be appreciated.

What happens if you go to "Programs and features" and uninstall all toolbars that you can find?  Also see the 'Manage Add-ons' in IE /Tools, if they are not listed in programs and features.   Start again with a clean sheet.  My advice is to simply use what is available in the IE search box, top right and set it to Google (default).  Toolbars just to take place and I'm not a big fan of them.

  • I lost the google search bar

I lost the little google search bar located on the right side. All the previous suggestions do not work.

You have removed the buttons on the Navigation toolbar by accident.

If you right click on an item to toolbar in normal mode (non-personnaliser) mode, then you can remove this item from the toolbar.

    • "Remove from toolbar" will remove this element of the Navigation toolbar and moves it to the palette to customize (Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize)
    • "Go to the Menu" will move this point '3' dropdown menu Firefox button bar
    • "Move to the toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox dropdown menu button will move that point to the toolbar

You still have the Navigation bar with the visible address bar?

  • How can I change the Focus of the URL bar for the Google search box?

    Hi guys,.

I want to change the new direction of the tab in the URL bar of back to the google search box.

    How can I do?

    -Chris

    You can watch this extension:

  • Firefox cannot connect to google in the search bar

I recently had an attacker change the IP address of the DNS server in my router to a bad. When it has been changed, I couldn't access google or facebook. I have fixed and can browse both sites, but the search bar in the upper right won't take me to google. I get an "Unable to connect" error. Do other search engines (e.g. wikipedia) is very good.

Firefox 37 right out of the box (+ router nonsense) on Ubuntu 14.

Time seems to have fixed. Maybe the https / /google.com ip has been in cache or something.

  • When I open a tab and start typing a URL in the address bar, my goal is switched to the google search field while I type.

When I open a new tab in Firefox, usually the first thing I do is start typing a URL in the address bar to the new tab (normally that uses AutoComplete to sites that I visit a lot). The new tab usually displays a google search page which is fine. It's there if I need it.

Lately, however, has changed the behavior of firefox when I open a new tab. After that I opened a new tab, my goal is taken from the address bar in the google search box. I mean not the Firefox search box either. I mean the search box on the google page. This occurs after I already started typing if I get the first letter or 2 of what I type in the search box, while the rest began to appear in the google search box. When I type a URL I want in the address bar. Not in the search box.

On reflection, I think that there are a few extensions that try to block or reverse this behavior of the Google search page. If you check your extensions, are one of them suddenly disabled or missing?

You can open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then check down to the disabled extensions.

  • Problem with the google in Firefox search bar

Last week the google search bar began to do all the searching through the site google.nl Dutch. He has never done this before. I'm in England, and the search bar has always used google.co.uk by default. I don't know why this has changed. I have not modified any settings and I use the version the most up-to-date Firefox on my Windows laptop, 8. Change the settings of google through the google Web site does not help.

Well, Google thinks he knows better than us...

Perhaps it would work better to install a plugin for Google UK-specific search. This page has two options:

    http://mycroftproject.com/Google-search-plugins.html

    Look for these:

    • Google UK (SSL)
    • Google UK - United Kingdom (SSL)

After installation, you should probably use the search bar drop-down list to select the new search plugin in the bottom of the list.

You could also check your connection here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > tab mini network > button "settings".

The default "use system proxy" should piggyback on your LAN-Windows/IE settings, but you can also try the 'no proxy' to see if that changes anything.

  • Can not find the google search bar to change the search on my home page engines

As I said above, I don't know why I can't find this combo on my MSN with Firefox homepage for the ability to change search engines. I had been doing network search more which I think is a third-party program probably from my old messenger more but I deleted it and there are still times when I search especially when it private so I thought that if I went to him and removed from the drop-down list, I would like to be rid of it. I can't find this low google drop list to this; However.

If you click on Delete on the shortcut menu, and then you remove the item from the toolbar and move the palette to customize.
You can open the Customize and drag the search bar on the Navigation toolbar, or even to the '3 - bar' list drop-down menu button Firefox.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
    • View > toolbars > customize
  • Remove the Google search bar of about: newtab page

It's maddening, and why users don't upgrade their software. The 3 latest updates of Firefox have caused many to not open in Firefox https sites, but they work fine in Internet Explorer. Lowering the TLS settings in topic: config from 3 to 2 fixed prior to version 31.0

When defective to fix today after the upgrade again, I became suspicious of Kaspersky and disabled who solved the problem of https. I'm still confused on why the Firefox upgrade resulted in Kaspersky blocks the application of any suspicious activity however. I think it's connected to the strange/unexpected uses of DNS server settings or a proxy.

To add insult to injury, I now have a highly UNDESIRABLE Google search bar in the top of my topic: newtab 31.0 version page. Why? Who thought it was a good idea to Mozilla?

If I wanted that Google (or any other search engine) to see each search query, that I come home, I set this as my home page search engine, or to drop Mozilla completely and use Chrome. When the Mozilla developers add this unwanted code in their browser, they are essentially removing the attractiveness of using it in the first place. Today, it is a loss that I spent all day playing with it.

Again, this is why people don't IMPROVE not - this 'upgrade' has messed up my browser just as much as any virus has never.

Thanks for the suggestions. I use the version of Kaspersky called Endpoint Security company and after much digging, I found a solution here:
    Kaspersky and Firefox SSL Bug

The fix requires submitting a support request to patch pt133 in KES 8.1.0.1042 - the previous version of KES 8 (v.8.1.0.831) must be upgraded before you install the patch.

In regards to the search bar, which gives a box to check or uncheck the box for this unwanted feature would be more diplomatic, but thanks for the workaround.

  • In the google search bar, how can I prevent search suggestions to disappear as soon as I move the mouse? Mac, Maverics, Firefox latest

It is in the separate search bar, not the URL bar that can also be used as a search bar. It seems to happen only with selected Google. If I choose one of the other search engines to the search bar, then the problem goes away. I use the latest version of Firefox on Mac/Mavericks.

    Hi Jay777

    Try it next please.

You have disabled the Suggestions show inside the Google search bar.

    To activate the Suggestions show:
Click once inside the search bar, then click inside the bar.
At the bottom of the context menu, choose Show Suggestions

Shut down and restart firefox and then turn it back on and restart again.

See if it works for you!

  • How can I change the address to google bar search engine?

Basically, I want to make google the search engine by default, I tried to change the thing: the url of the keyword in the config that is not working, the search engine bar is set to google, but the address bar back to Yahoo which I don't want.

The key word. Pref URL is no longer used in current versions of Firefox.
Firefox uses the same search engine (by default) for the address bar and the subject: such home page as defined for the search bar.

It is more likely a problem caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • The search bar google in my address window disappeared.

The google search bar has disappeared from my address window. How can I get that back?

Move your mouse to the top of the Firefox window, and then right-click.
You will see a menu, the available toolbars.
