• Stitch a panorama 360, 2 battery?

  I'm fairly new to Photoshop and not even sure if this is possible. Anyway, I know how to assemble a normal 360 panorama of say 8 photos, but I would like to be able to assemble a panorama which has 2 or even 3 layers. If for example I would take 8 pictures all around an angle formed by a drone, but then 8 more with the camera of the drone tilted downwards a little. From there, I would take all 16 images to make a panorama that is much thicker than if it was just a normal single layer of photos. Any help on how to do this in Photoshop or Lightroom would be greatly appreciated!

  Not sure what you mean by layers in this context. However, if you mean that you can stitch together photographs that have been taken in a series horizontally, and using several rows vertically, at the same time then the answer is Yes.

  In the case of Lightroom - select the photos in the library and then use Photo PhotoMerge - Panorama. Then select a projection - decide whether to autocrop etc and let Lightroom it's stuff.

  The example below is not complete 360 but a set of images covering a part of a building - sewn using PhotoMerge Panorama

  

  

  In Photoshop, the process is similar. Open your images - use controller - PhotoMerge. Choose your images and a projection - then let it do its stuff. In this case, you will get a paper multilayer - aligned according to the chosen projection and with masks. Example under cover of the projection of 'Auto' below:

  I need the image move continuously and to start seamlessly when the animation becomes at the end of the image.

  If you want to change the panoramas at 360 degrees (I do a lot of those and like to post them on google maps) in Lightroom the cardinal rule is not to touch highlights, shadows, white, black, and clarity. Those are HDR tools that don't know how to wrap themselves around. You can use the tone curve. You can also make local changes, as long as you do not change the left and right border. You can also make filters graduate as long as you make it perfectly horizontal. Here is an example of a spherical pano I made final edits on in Lightroom: Google Maps. There is a graduated filter in the middle that I edited a bit by using brushes. My workflow for these is very involved, but most of the changes occur in Lightroom after stitching.

• Limitations of size for Panorama in Lightroom CC

  This note is to encourage Adobe to expand the limits of size of the panoramas of Lightroom CC.  I understand that this limit is a maximum length of 65 000 pixels or a maximum number of pixels to 512 million pixels.  Such a limit does not get wide angle with long focal length objectives to get extremely high resolution panoramas.  For example, a 100 mm lens on a sensor 24 x 36 mm is turned to vertical orientation (24mm width) requires about (ideally) 26 frames to make a panorama 360 degrees.  If you use a device 50 megapixels (e.g. Canon 5 d), this image will be approximately 150 000 pixels wide or nearly three times the current limit.  There are also approximately 1300 megapixels, even once about three times the current limit.  This means that a Canon 5 d can be used to make even a panorama of 180 degrees, with a goal of 100mm in the vertical direction.  Creation of panorama in Lightroom CC is fantastic because it is easy and results in a RAW image.  But the current size limit is a real constraint.  Thank you for your attention.

  You have no indication of the specifications of image of the source files used to create panoramic images in PTgui, Pano2VR, then the specifications and recommendations for the 6 images used in the overlay?

  I don't know exactly what information you are after that so I'll give it a shot and see if it's what you're after.

  First off the coast of PTGui and Pano2VR are two different types of applications. PTGui will sting your images in order to create an image of equirectangular panoramic 360 x 180 and various export options. Pano2VR is not actually stitching images but take this equirectangular image created in PTGui and will allow you to set parameters, set the user interface skins and export in a number of ways, including Flash/HTML using mult-resolution files.

  So for PTGui your source files must be of the highest quality and resolution, you can shoot. For example, I shoot a Canon 5 d Mark 2 with a Canon Fisheye 15 mm lens. It gives me a GROSS of about 28 MB file, I shoot around 6 and 1 vertically. When I poked in PTGui I'll end up with an image equirectangular around 10,000 x 5, 000px.

  I use Pano2VR, jointly with Photoshop, to make a necessary retouching with the patch tool. Then I create a set of output images, HTML and Javascript files because I incorporate panoramas using a content overlay Web (see the excellent app of DPS advice from Bob Bringhurst for the info on how to apply it). In the creation of the output, I use the option to create multi-resolution files, which provide a greater resolution as users zoom.

  Alternatively, if you want to only implement the views by the superposition of Panorama, you can simply use PTGui or Pano2VR to export 6 images. In this case I would export to about 1 000 x 1, 000px in jpg format. If you are targeting higher spec devices, you can increase the size.

  I am trying to create HDR images and Hi Res Panoramas using Photoshop CS4. It seems that the resulting image is a much weaker than expected resolution (that is, the image has been reduced by 50% and changed at 240 dpi). I can do the thing smame on my laptop without problem, but may not know why it does not work on my desktop.

  Is there a preference that I missed?

  I have 4 programs that use the camera and now nothing works as it says that the device is used with another program.  I've deleted all the programs, but still couldn't use my camera phone.  I have given all the programs I deleted and still no change.  Any thoughts?
