PAP2 Tesco Internet Phone 0800 questions

Hi all

To set the scene, I'm new to VoIP, new to PAP2, if I don't have a lot of IT experience.

I just purchased a PAP2 to ebay, unlocked (the two lines open) running the version of firmware 3.1.22 (LS).  Fantastic piece of kit!  Open firewall ports, I am successfully able to connect via sip.tescointernetphone.com and can make and receive calls ok on both lines.  So far so good.

My current settings of the dial for both lines plan are the following:

(* xxx |) [3469] 11. 0 | 00 | ([2-9] xxxxxx: 1xxx [2-9] xxxxxxS0: xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

Now the question I have whenever I dial an 0800 number, the call or the other fell immediately, or have responded to the call but gets fell less than 1/2 second.  I have traweled dialplan different resources / tutorials in order to appreciate the context and consist of syntax of the numbering plan, but seem unable to come this simple question.

For additional info, if I use my old adapter IAX connected in gateway.tescointernet.com, I have no problem accessing 0800, or any other number besides.

If I dial in through the SIP gateway to my telephony client, which works very well.    My thoughts lead me to my problem either be me (because I'm missing something), or it is a problem with the PAP2... maybe a bug in the firmware?

Thoughts, help or any help would be greatly appreciated.  Beer (or drinks) on me a solution!

Are you sure it's only a matter of 0800? I had the same problem with all the calls until I changed the preferred under Audio setting to G729a Codec.

I also UKised the Dial Plan to (0 [1235789] xxxxxxxxxS0 |) [2-8] xxxxxS0 | * x. | x [0123456789].)

This allows a number 11-digit standard dial without delay, a standard 6 digit number to dial a number without delay, a number beginning with a star (p. ex. * 123 for voicemail Tesco) and allows any another number to call.

    I would welcome suggestions for a USB problem.

    A Lobos SkyMe internet phone will not install when it is connected to a USB port, but will install when plugged into my Shuttle PC.
    Historical precedents with the USB ports on this Satellite Pro M50, I'm pretty much at my wits end.

    Apparently, no driver is necessary, but I wonder if there is a registry hack to force recognition?

    Could you describe in detail what does not work? You get an error message?

    I m not an expert in internet phone installation and didn t install similar devices in the past, but I imagine that the phone should recognize the new plugged the USB with no problems.

    If there is a problem with the USB device recognition go to Device Manager and remove all the controllers and the USB ports.
    Reboot the laptop.

    After that process, the operating system installs the ports again.
    Then you could try to connect the external USB device to the laptop USB port.

    PS; to make sure that the USB ports will provide enough power, you must disable USB energy saving properties.

    I have been using our FAX via the regular phone line for years.  After the internet phone with our cable provider and internet, the FAX does not work.  Unable to get a dial tone. Someone knows this, and if so, were you able to solve the problem?   Of course, the cable operator said it is not their problem.

    Fax will not work on a VoIP / Internet phone connection.

    The quick answer is that the way phone VoIP/Internet works scrables fax signal so that it cannot be understood by the other machine.

    Personally giving some options I think HP is optimistic. I run what is probably the biggest site on faxing right now, and the problem you are having is that we are most often contacted on the subject. Not yet heard of anyone who has been able to get the two to work together reliably.

    I guess that you are referring to some type of notification, do not repeatedly beeps every two minutes if there's a reason or not. Your message is not quite clear on that. However, as you found with a 4 year post that you added previously, the only thing you can set repeated notifications is SMS. The phone will only provide a single call or missed voicemail notification.

    If launch you the phone in the corner, then I think that you do not receive information on this important topic, so I guess that it controls when it comes to mind would be enough? But, like the other thread that you have added to indicated, you can provide your feedback to Apple here, http://www.apple.com/feedback by clicking on the box in this area.

    I just got a new phone and tried to erase the recovery mode because the device is picking up a random 6-digit and locking code. Unfortunately, it says that the device is not be restored. Is there anything else I can try?

    I do not understand what it means to 'clear the recovery mode '.  It could mean erase using recovery mode, or it may mean something quite opposite.

    In any case, try to use the procedure described in "Erase your device with the recovery mode" in the article of HT204306 you fixed above.  If this fails, contact Apple Support such as suggested in the "Get more help" section of this article.

    Do you use the Toshiba's own recovery image?

    Who knows what you may be that you changed some important parameters or you have installed a 3rd party software that affects the internet connection.

    In the past, I was able to copy / paste by highlighting the text in my email.  All of a sudden I'm getting the image of a hand and it does not allow me to do. Just, it opens and closes.  Cannot highlight

    We would like to get some more information from you to help solve your problem.  You better, please answer the following questions.

    1. are you able to cut and copy in the mail that you dial?

    2. have you checked if you can cut and paste using another program like word or notepad document?

    I suggest you to check if you can copy paste or cut using another program such as Notepad or wordpad.

    The image one had only appears if the mouse pointer points to a hyper link.

    Also suggest you check with the default mouse.

    Open mouse by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking hardware, and then clicking on the mouse.

    2.

    Click the pointers tab and later, click on use default and click OK

    Now check if it works fine now.

    If you cannot access to the use of the internet, another computer and save the driver on a CD/DVD/card reader, transfer it to the computer.

    Download drivers

    Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your computer model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers you are your version of Windows. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - every computer is different, so I can't give you exact directions.

    If you have Windows XP, you can have only IE 8. IE 9 is only available for Windows 7.

    I tried 8 times to access my camera using my password, I don't know if I've forgotten my password, but one I use does not work, I tried also to enter the word blackberry followed sumbit and still nothing. I don't want my data to be deleted from my phone, I'm stressed right now and don't know what to do? Is there a way to recover my password protected phone? What are my options?     The ONLY option is to type the correct password. The device WILL wipe after 10 unsuccessful attempts. The only reason to enter 'blackberry' is just in case the first 5 attempts are on an accident, as in your pocket.

    There is no return to the unit.

  • BlackBerry 10 phone nine questions with Contacts does not

    I got a new phone the weekend (Z30) and have had problems with the 'Contacts'  It does not seem to be reading SOMETHING on the phone.  It does not find the contacts of:

    • the SIM card
    • BBM
    • E-mail
    • Facebook
    • NOTHING

    When I open the BBM-> Contacts, there are 24.  When I put the SIM card in another phone, the default value of the numbers see the place in contacts, 411, #Taxi, etc.  When I open the "Contacts" application base on the main screen, NADA!  It has been more than 48 hours, so this isn't a problem of "just wait that it synchronize.

    I've been setting up of 2 phones, I did a cleanup of security/plant on the first and that seemed to fix the problem.  I really do not have to re-setup on the other if I can avoid it.

    Nothing.  By clicking on any filter just says "No Contacts".  Back to BBM-> Contacts, there are 24.  Go to Contacts-> BBM = 0!

    Couldn't be patient any yet, did you complete security wipe a 2nd too.  The fixed.
