parental control on device with Apple ID child

I bought an iPod touch for my son. I want him to have its own identifier Apple for his texts and emails, etc. will go directly to the device. But I still want to set up parental controls for content filtering. Is this possible and how? Thank you

  • WHY IS THERE NO PARENTAL CONTROLS FILTERS ASSOCIATED WITH EATING DISORDERS?

I know that I can ban specific websites using Parental control filters, but when Microsoft will add a way to filter the news of dangerous on weight loss, dieting, etc.. ? It is too easy for children to find the BMI calculators, feeding sites and other things of that nature and mistreat them. I could turn on each single parental control and my child would probably still managed to use a search engine to access a Web site that could be detrimental to her recovery. I can't type in a thousand of banned sites. It would just be easier to ban its ability to search for a specific word.

So I would like to see a filter added to Vista, XP, and Internet Explorer that allows me to forbid my child looking for a specific word associated with consumption of issues, issues of body image, eating disorders, weight loss, etc.

    Hello Craig,.

I checked the details on your post and as noted, you are using Version 2011 (15.4.3508.1109) parental control. Please download and install the latest version by following the link below:

    Windows Live Essentials 2011

After the update of your parental control client, manage your child's account by logging into https://fss.live.com. If you want to block Hotmail and Messenger for your child, do the following:

    1. on the parental control Web page, look for the child's account, then click Edit settings under the name. (If the child is not yet added to the safety of your family and doesn't have a Windows Live ID account, please create an account for the child by following this link.)
    3. click on contact management on the left side.
    4. If you are prompted to Add Windows Live ID your child, select sign option and sign in to your account to child. In case not, proceed to the next step.
    4. you will see on the Middle "[child account name] can be used:" and you will see under Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Hotmail with checkbox on their left.
    5. you will need to uncheck 2 boxes blocking the service Hotmail and Messenger, and then click Save to save the changes.
6 refresh family safety filter settings by logging into the customer of parental controls installed on your computer, and then clicking on the website get the latest settings from the Web site icon (located on the upper right corner of the parental control client.

[quote = user Craig Ellen] I also do not seem to have any account 'child' when we look into Parental control on my Live account. [/ quote]

You can see a child account on your Windows Live account page if the child is under 13 years of age and is registered under the COPPA - (Children Online Privacy Protection Act). COPPA has a $0.50 charge on subscription and is only a one-time charge.

In case you need further help, feel free to reply on this post.

  • EA6300 Parental controls

I put parental controls in place on my EA6300 to my children and it worked fine for the time where it's supposed to be blocked.  The question I have is this time I have not designated as "Block Internet access" will sometimes block their access.  They do not get the standard page of parental control sent to the router stops internet access.  If I go into the router and disable parental control, they will have access, but when it turns back on, they get the same blocking without parental control of the router page.  If I reboot the router everything works fine, but I don't have to restart the router to work things out.  This irregular periods only happens when my children are strongly online game.  This problem does not affect computers that have not defined any parental control, that those with defined time demand.

    Any advice would be helpful.

    EA6300 FW 1.1.40.153731

    25 active devices connected

    Comcast Blast (50Mbps) service

No luck with the restart of the computers for children.  The key here is just randomly starts any system locking with the same thought active parental control is not set to block at this time here (in general when I have 3-4 teenagers making games online).  The only thing that fixes it is to disable the parental control (but that only temporarily solved the problem) or reboot the router.

Update: there was a single thing in my configuration which should not have caused the problem above that I changed back to the default value.  My router was set to 192.168.2.1 to support a configuration that I had in the past.  I fly over the default router 192.168.1.1 and now things work fine.  This makes me think that must do a better job with QA/QC of their code of Linksys router.

  • Block of parental control of Linksys EA6700 when they shouldn't

    Hello.

I have the EA6700, which I think is an excellent product. I use parental controls for my 10 year old son devices (iPad, a PC and Smartphone). It has worked fine until recently when one morning he wasn't able to access the Internet at all. The only way I can grant him access is to disable parental controls for devices. I have not changed the settings on the router on this subject, so I do not know why it stopped working. The access time is the same for all three devices, which is blocked between 21 h 00 and 05:00 and then released the rest of the time.

    I hope someone can help.

    Best regards

Try to unplug the router and insert him plugging in again.

  • Problem with correction account child to Parent main parental control

Fixed the year of birth on Friday, April 18.

Said his view of microsoft as a KID account after 24-48 hours, but it's not.

For more than 48 hours and daughter showing primary parent account.

What is the difficulty to have his account be a KID account

    Hello

What measures are being taken to convert a primary parent of a child account account?

I understand that you want to replace the primary parent in family safety.  Unfortunately, we do not have this option of parental control.  First of all, you must disable the parental controls from your main account. Go to https://familysafety.microsoft.com, click on the parent account, Remove family member.
Now, you can define a new user as the main account account.

You can create a new Standard user account and set it as a child account.

  • Set up parental controls for 1 child on two computers

Here's the scenario that I have and I would like some help to determine if it is possible to what I want to do.

My wife and I just bought two Surfaces, one of her and for me.  We have a son who we know that we will share our devices with.  It will probably use his more than mine.  It has a Microsoft Account because he has an Xbox Live account, thanks to our family of Xbox subscription.  I wanted to lock him on Surface machines using parental controls, but here is where I am currently.

    (1) I have set up Microsoft account my son on the Surface of my wife and indicated that it is on behalf of a child when I did.

    (2) I used my wife's account to configure all settings families on behalf of my son, such as the allocation of time, hosted the games and sites, etc..

    (3) I signed up for the family web site by using the account of my wife and could see everything.

    (4) I then created Microsoft has my son on my own Surface, also indicating that it is on behalf of a child when I did.

But now I'm stuck.  I was really hoping that the same settings we had a machine would be then on the other account, but appears not to be the case.  I don't see his machine within the parameters of the family and she can't see mine.  When I try to add him to my family, he said "this person has already been added to the parental control.  So, it is a primary, and so I am.  Here are my questions:

    (1) how can I set where I am primary and my wife is a secondary antibody (or at least a parent who may approve things)?

    (2) will be the security settings, we have set up the synchronization of one single machine with the other somehow or we must manually preserve us allowed applications, etc all in harmony between the two machines manually?

    Hi Mike,.

What I mean by my statement is that as long as the child is managed by a single parental control (for example you as the account parent principal, manipulation of the child), the settings on the Web site will be synchronized on all machines).

Regarding your second question, it would be necessary on behalf of primary parent to have a user account for both computers. It would be better if you remove parental control on both machines first configuration so the settings would be better implemented according to the configuration you prefer.

    Thank you!

  • Problems with delays of parental control and activity reports in Windows 8 PC

The family safety team has identified two problems for people using parental controls in Windows 8:

    ·         Time stop working

    or

    ·         Parents receive reports of activities that have no PC activity, even if children are using the PC. (Use and web application use is still reported, but the chart for PC time used is empty.)

I had the same problem (s).

    Finally fixed it.

The child user account must have the PC 'trust' in relation to the windows live account online restored. Connect you to the computer with the user account does not. By scanning or the mouse, click on the right side.

'Settings', "Change PC settings" "sync settings" "passwords" "trust this PC.

You will need to have a code sent to your mobile phone or the phone at home or email.

Once the code is entered and verified, the PC is now in 'Trusted PC (s)' account online windows live.

This must be done on each user and each PC that does not work.

Good luck, hope this helps other parents. I was pulling my hair out with this not working do not. Time limits is the best thing in the WORLD, as long as it works!

  • EA6350 - problems with parental controls

I bought the EA6350 almost a week ago.  Implementation has taken every 30 seconds - a big change of the time to fight with my last Belkin router.

Internet was fast and I love the parental control.

After a few days, the parental control just stopped working properly.  Devices that were on the schedule would be blocked from internet for 24 hours.

There are also random slowdowns that affect all users, even the times not on.  Disabling parental settings causes everything to run smoothly once more.

Let's you have updated the firmware on the router, hlmichel. Please follow the steps on this link and download the firmware here. Make sure you download the appropriate firmware version that matches the version of your router. Once you're done, rebuild and reconfigure the router, then test again the parental control. An update of the results.

  • all Parental control computers appear as 'Network Device'

Hello, I have a Verizon FIOS router that I believe must remain as a router and I have bad wireless coverage in my house. Various articles mentioned that a wireless router can be configured as an access point by turning off the DHCP / NAT and cascade the new router (E4200) in the local network (without using the WAN port). This seems to work very well for the first device, which I have added to the wireless network, but when I went to set up parental controls to restrict access, all devices in the selection box appear as 'Network Device', so you can easily know which devices choose. Is it the way things are if you do not use the software or are - because I use it in a non-standard way? Does anyone know how to have that came with the computer names?

    Thank you

    Al

Parental control is relevant only if the router is used as a router as access point. You may not use the parental controls on the E4200 if you use it as an access point only.
