  • Pavilion p6641f: password at startup before windows opens

My PC seems to have been hacked and asks for a password at startup until I get even on windos 10 screen.  I don't know what to short of a system restore... I have upgraded to Windows 10 last year, but my computer came with Windows 7 when I bought it.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

    Rafael

    Rafael.

    It has been hacked.

    It is the SYSKEY password.

You should try to restore to an earlier date before you start.

Most of the time, they remove all restore date to prevent you from doing this.

If this is the case, then you will need to do a full system restore.

    Sorry Rafael.

  • WIN8: backup program and password at startup

I have a brand new model Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b013cl running under 64-bit Windows 8. Two questions:

    (1) Win7 was a program of restoration that could create a disk image with full backup, but Win8 seems to have just a file by file backup system that excludes the files of the OS. A more capable backup program comes on this computer?

    (2) I have configured the computer to not require a password at startup, but it is still asking one. When I start I see a screen with the date and time - I have to click on it and then the machine asks me a password. How can I go directly to the home screen when I start?

    Your welcome,

I don't think that you must earn 8 Pro to save to an external drive.

  • How can I find temporary "password protect - startup."

I had recently 3 used dell computers with a mortgage company of bankruptcy to help out them of their office, their home & hung and EVERYTHING! of them are password at startup (windows xp pro), how do I go beyond, or reset the passwords, so I can use them?

I'm surprised say the least, that such an undertaking would give you computer without safely erasing hard drives. Of course, if they had done this, the computer must not fill even a boot sequence.

    This aside:

    • One who organized the transfer of computers for you contact and ask the relevant passwords.

These methods to restore the computer in their configuration provided by Dell. All programs and user files added after that will be deleted.

    1. If you have the CD or DVD media which would have allowed Dell, use appropriate disks to restore instructions of Dell computers.
    2. If the machines are essentially as expected, try a restore to the restore hard disk partition: press F11 as the computer starts.
    3. Get a CD or DVD under license for the operating system of your choice and use it to remove the present partitions on the hard drive and install a completely fresh OS. Visit Dell for the device drivers needed for machines.

If you don't have the CD or DVD's concerned, they are available from Dell support.

There are various methods of password recovery detailed on various web sites. Make a Bing or Google search. Note that the use of such methods to access the data that you have no right to access or use or access to the programs for which you have no copyright or other rights of access or use could result in sentences and legal pain.

  • Portege M400: Why am I not asked a password at startup?

    Hello

I have a Portege M400 and I used the Toshiba security software help put in place a the BIOS boot password, but also a protection of HARD drive password. This software, as well as the true BIOS (Esc + F1 at startup) show that the password I set is recorded or recognized.

However, I'm not really asked any of these passwords when I start the computer.

I have a system to dual-boot with the original WinXP for Tablet PC on one of the partitions and one Feisty Ubuntu on another. My boot loader is GRUB, but I do not understand why this should affect the behavior of the BIOS which should arrive before calling the bootstrapper...

Can someone help me with this? It would be really important for me to protect my BIOS and the hard drive.

    Thanks in advance,
    dsokus

    1. check your security settings with password for Toshiba utility. Are these these configured correctly?
2 you have the user or supervisor password? If you only set the supervisor password that you are not prompted for the password.
    3. try to put the HDD and user pw in the initial bios setup (press ESC when prowering on).

  • Satellite L300-1BW - BSOD and then the password at startup appeared

    Hello

I'm new hear that ive just got a laptop Toshiba L300 - 1bw Windows vista, intel celeron.

I changed the laptop on it gives the initial toshiba screen then goes to a blue screen and request a password.

I tried f8 when turning on pc ive tried f12 and f2 but not anywhere (say at startup screen press f2 or f12) getting to the bottom of the joy.

I called Toshiba with no joy.
It was bought for me for Christmas but my boss lost reception and Toshiba said I could send to China, but it cost me money or buy the recovery disk.

Of course, I don't want to pay these charges unless I need to.
So does anyone know a way round to re install or move to the password option.

    Any help would be great
    Thanks in advance

    Nick

    Hello Nick

Please do not be angry on me, but the whole story is completely strange. I don't understand what you mean.
Best thing you can do is to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help. They can remove the BIOS password for you. Of course, you must pay for it.
If the laptop is bought legally it has no problem at all.

Sorry but there is nothing that you can do it alone.

  • How can I remove password on startup, which is the same as my Windows login password.

I would like to know how to remove this password to start irrtating HP which is always appear on my Elitebook with ProtectTools.

I just it is gone, it is so boring, I wish that I never installed ProtectTools.

I tried to remove it, but this startup password is always THERE and when I go into the bios, I tried to reset the settings, and now the option to boot from USB is disabled. I am not connected as a guest in the bios, but as a user I think with my windows password some how, even though I have already uninstalled all that shit.

I just want to remove my bios boot password, wipe the system and reinstall windows 7.

At this point, I booted up, type the startup password, then the password windows, now connected, I reinstalled ProtectTools and I try to take it off from there, its all if frustrating because I have a lot of work todo and cannot until this is resolved.

Please HELP me enable usb boot and the removal of the startup password. Thank you.

PS. I also have unisntalled hp digitalpass, security shipped for hp, Privacy Manager, validilty of fingerprints, disc encryption and protects 3d hp. I can't understand this, and I'm in a big hurry to get a project for work.

Well I figured it with technical telephone support, had to log in as guest in the bios, not as user and reset to the factory settings, press f1 one or two times to remove the biometrics, etc. and got my USB works on boot options

  • Apple ID password at startup check Message

I recently bought an iPad Pro, having already owned an iPad 2 air.

However, since the Pro purchase (and use it alongside my Air 2), I was invited on two iPads (at startup) for my password Apple ID.

I am presented with the choice between 'Not now' or 'settings '. I'm then prompted to enter the password for my iCloud account. This happens to start on two iPads. If I choose "Not now," I'm out of FaceTime and iMessage on the device.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and do not get the prompt on this device.

I tried to sign in/out my account iCloud on both devices, but it did not work. I appreciate any suggestions anyone has!

Use the application settings. Go to settings > iTunes and App Store.

If your identifier Apple is not displayed at the top of the screen you sign for your Apple ID normally once that you do this you may not reconnect to your Apple ID.

If your identifier Apple is already shown it tap it in and out. Then reconnect.

Also, in some devices setup password Apple ID could be offered as the password to unlock the device. You can check if this is the case in the settings app as well.
