Password Guest in e-2500

I set a password for the account of comments, but when you connect a computer to it wireless it does not ask the password.  No problem with settings GB 2.4 and 5 regular simular.  And no, this isn't a problem with the PC store the password.  This is a new configuration of the router. To ensure doublely, I tried different SSID.  It shows that open access.

I thought to Flash the firmware BUT this beast has V1.0.05 and the bumph in the linksys download site lists the current version as V3 and a sidebar is not compatible with V1 or 2...  I don't need the option of comments, just thought I would try it for the knowledge of products - I've done a lot of configurations WiFi on all other routers, but never tried the comments option. Thanks for your advice...

Step 3: "once the guest access window appears, enter your guest password and click LOGIN."

So I can't enter the password because I have nowhere to go.

Step 3 goes on to say: "If the Guest access password window does not immediately invite, try opening a web browser and go to any website.  This will raise the window password guest access to appear."

  • Password protect Cisco Connect

I have a Linksys E1000. It works very well. I have access to the Cisco router for connection (password, guest access management). I realized today that anyone who has access to my laptop could open Cisco Connect, see the router password and have access to the network. It is a way to password protect Cisco Connect?

You could phone contact Cisco and see if they have any information about the protection as SW. It may be obsolete and therefore no longered developed or updated you may need to stop using it if hiding PW routers are a matter of concern for your use.

  • Connect a wireless printer anywhere, wired derivation convert, does not have radio, add WPA2 security.

Update- good because when the wireless radio failed to convert a wired Ethernet printer to wireless technology, or if you want your printer to support greater security WPA2 wireless.

Updated - connect to a hotel/motel/school dormitory may not work if the network uses Enterprise authentication requesting a user name and password on your computer.

This article will try to explain how to connect your wireless devices, including printers, to a wireless network when you are away from home.  The problem when you're in a hotel, motel, room student or other areas is your computer connects fine, but your wireless printer, you have brought with you, has connection/security problems.  Other people/wireless devices can find the printer on an open network, connect you to the printer and start printing without reason just because 'they can do. "

You'll need is a small wireless travel router.  TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N Nano router or other router of trip is all you need.  The WR702N is available on eBay or Amazon for only $21.00, that's right, only $ 21.

This device does not support the authentication of company systems because it cannot meet any username and password prompts these system as your computer can.  However, it will connect to a standard WPA SSID and your computer, but if you receive a browser for other questions page redirect, it won't work.

It's a small powerful travel router which built in 5 modes of operation (more than your home router can do):

    1. AP mode
    2. Client mode
    3. Repeater mode
    4. Router mode
    5. Bridge mode

The TP-WR702N information is found here:

    http://www.TP-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR702N#over

To see the overview of applications see here first to understand:

    http://www.TP-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR702N#app

I won't go into the details on how to configure these modes in the TP Link router Nano as the manual does a great job.  One thing you must remember is that you must assign a static IP address on your wired Ethernet connection of computers to access the Web interface internal of the Nano.  The Nano is configured with an Ethernet cable at any time.  It's security that the router that has DHCP disabled so if you connect to a network, you won't crash it with an IP address conflict.  The Nano is powered by a USB cable and comes with a USB AC adapter too.

The IP address of the Nano is default 192.168.0.254.  Set your computers Ethernet Port, adapter not wireless, a static IP 192.168.0.1, 255.255.255.0 DNS address.  You have to find a way to do it yourself, but it is explained in the manual and on the web for the operating system of your computer.

This leaves your wired Ethernet connection to a static IP address and your adapter wireless DHCP.  Don't forget to put your wired to DHCP if you need to use it later for a wired connection.  Connect the Ethernet cable from your computer to the router Nano.

Set up your browser by going to 192.168.0.254 (Nano IP address) in the address bar and you'll get the username and password login screen.  The default username and password is admin/admin, you can change it if necessary.

    Set the Nano bridged mode:

Other modes will be mentioned later but for now; Bridge mode will serve as this isolates and creates your own SSID private the hotel/motel/dorm room open wireless network SSID.  In Bridge Mode you entrance and connect to the Rangoon SSID (paraphrasing) AND set up your own small network with your own SSID and password.  Your SSID will be separated and protected through WPA2-AES security that you set up.   You will be able to go online normally fine, but all of your devices will now connect to your private SSID.

    Example:

Hotel SSID: HILTON Hotel Paraphrase and password: GUEST

Nano SSID: MYNETWORK Nano Paraphrase/password: HP5514

With this information, the rest is easy.  You set your SSID private and password first, they you must find and connect to the SSID and password hotels.  Simply click on the SURVEY button and a list of all available networks will be displayed along with their MAC addresses.  Find the network SSID, you want to connect (bridge) too and click on "connect".  Information is entered automatically.  I suggest that you also edit your channel wireless on a fixed channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.

Save your settings and you will be told to restart the router.  Follow the instructions and always restart the router after any changes take effect.  This Nano restarts in 20 seconds approximately.

Now on your computer when you scan available networks, you will see MYNETWORK.  Connect your computer to the SSID and enter your HP5514 password and you're on!  Start surfing or something else.

Now, what about your printer?  The printer must be set to DHCP and assuming that you have a printer wireless with front panel:

    1. Go to (Assistant) wireless configuration screen.
    2. Search for available networks.
    3. Select: MYNETWORK
    4. Enter your password: HP5514
    5. To connect!

In about 15 seconds, you're connected!   Oh, guess what?  The Nano has a WAN/LAN port and in Bridge mode, it is a LAN port that is connected to your network too!  Then plug into a printer/computer Ethernet cable, if you wish.

Your printer will work as usual with no change at all.  I set up in my house to test and it connected perfectly to my HP5514 wireless printer.  All the tools, diagnostics, printer functions, alerts of ink were normal.

    You're done!

The bottom can be used anywhere to create a local private network so that you and others can use your printer.

Now, what about the changes?  If at home, you can use the Nano in Repeater mode to connect to your own network and extend the reach of all devices.  Even as the Bridge mode, but you're on your network using your SSID and the word normal, so everyone can use the printer.

Don't worry what you heard with speed of execution of a router in Repeater Mode.  Most routers House when running in wireless Repeater mode should be set to no encryption or WEP only.  Here max speed is 54 Mbps.  This Nano turns at full speed of 150 Mbps in these modes, using the highest security WPA2-AES (personal).

Remember that the size is small, so it's good to perhaps more than 50 feet.  HD video streaming was impeccable and surf watch video at the same time was perfect.

I hope this help you when business or vacation.  Some hotels charge for EACH device connection.  With the implementation above, it takes only a charge for multiple devices, such as cell phones, iPads, light fires, computers or anything else you want to connect.

EDIT - do not forget that this Nano device has an Ethernet connection that once configured, you can use to connect a wired computer or wired Ethernet printer.  It is a good radio your printer wireless doesn't have to convert a wired Ethernet wireless printer or if you want your printer to support greater security WPA2 wireless.

    Have fun!

  • Linksys WRT1900 AC comments account login screen works only on certain Android tablets

I have the Linksys WRT1900 AC and always try to find problems with the existing material. For some reason, almost half of my Android tablets do work well with the guest accounts. For example, the Tablet sees the guest account of Linksys and links, however, I never see the login screen to enter the password "guest" in my setup, in fact, send and receive data. I'd rather do not yet have a password on the guest account, but when I tried that in the Linksys configuration it wouldn't let me have no password. So, I'm trying to find how to force the login screen appears to enter the password "guest" to complete the process to send/receive data.

I don't know if the problem is with the tablets, Android, the browser of the Tablet, or some other problem. Since each niece and nephew shows up with 2 or more phones and devices, I really want to understand why some show the login screen, and others do not (but reported 'connected'). Any help appreciated.

Open a browser and access the internet so the login screen will come out. If the devices does not connect, try forgetting the network, and then connect again. • E4200 comments network does not

I can't get the network feature to work.

Even if the SSID is activated, it does not appear on all devices trying to connect. The connection manually entering the SSID comments fails (not recognized). On devices with the primary 5 and 2.4 GHz configured, they see the third network but without SSID (unknown) and also can connect manually using SSID.

    Here are my settings:

    Firmware: 1.0.02

E4200 is configured in bridge (WAP) mode.

    5 GHz network

    Mixed mode

    SSID Astro2-year

    Automatic width

    Channel Auto (DFS)

    Disabled SSID broadcast

    2.4 GHz network

    SSID Astro2-bgn

    Guest access

    Enable Yes

    Name Astro2-bgn-comments (not editable)

    Password Guest testpassword

    Total authorized clients 5

    Enabled SSID broadcast

I was not looking for it before 1.0.02. Have restarted the modem and checked all the configs (several times). The network is online in an office and can not keep screwing with it or change its settings.

    Peter

This particular E4200 was bought with firmware 1.0.0 and then upgraded to 1.0.01 and finally updated to 1.0.02. I did not hard reset after the upgrade, just let yourself drift on the configs by firmware. See other problems in the forum resolved after upgrade by resetting hard, I gave a try. I printed all the pages of configuration and State, did a hard reset and then entered manually all configs exactly as they were. But now the network comments works and all is well. For those interested, the comments system is placed on a completely different subnet (19.168.33.0/24 compared to my normal LAN on 192.168.0.0/24). In addition, the E4200 is all private IP addresses routable while on the network of comments. This means that you can use the E4200 as a WAP mode bridge anywhere on your private subnet and guest users can only access the Internet routable. Very well! And to close the other question raise in this thread, you can leave the SSID disabled on the main networks 5 and 2.4 GHz and separately enable or disable comments network.

I suggest always to do a hard reset after firmware upgrade even if your settings seem to have postponed...

  • Cannot reset my HP Pavilion g7-Windows 8 * error-no changes have been made *.

My laptop 1-year-old has been having some problems, and I took it to my boyfriend of the approved computer. My laptop would start up randomly as if I were a signature with the same name and password guest: my photos, videos and documents could not be found. It turns out that my laptop set all my stuff in a user with the same username as the ONE I have, but made sure that when I connect I'm labeled as 'TEMP (name of my computer).

His solution was to transfer all my photos and etc to onedrive and reset my computer. I followed the steps to remove everything, but when I confirm and believe that my cell phone was about to reset it, it flashes that "no changes". I select 'check for solutions', only to have the small window will disappear in a few seconds.

All I want is now back to the factory setting, install windows update 8.1 and out of this technological purgatory. Thank you for reading my fate :)

    Hello

Seems to me that the installer is corupted. You may need to do this way another (I consider this approach last resort). This will erase all THE DATA on the primary drive. You will need another PC, a USB drive (8 GB I think) and your key of product (just in case). Your product key is usually attached to the bottom of your computer, however not this case, use this software here to find.

Download the Setup file of Windows 8 on the site here on the other PC. Run it and follow the steps. It will download the installation files for the PC. When it's done, it will ask you how you want to install Windows 8. Select create a USB key and follow the steps.

Plug the USB key into your computer and restart it. You will need to hit the Menu button to start ("F9" or "Esc" to HP) and boot from the USB key (it is usually named after the mark or Cathy USB:...). Follow the steps, including enter the product key. When you are prompted, select Install Clean and click Next. On the next page, you need to maybe clean some of the readers by using the 'advanced tools', or else you can get away with by clicking on the drive that Windows 8 has been installed on and shot after / install.

Once you have configured Windows 8, you may need to install the drivers from the Hp site

  • How to get sqlplus not to use the output of size documents fixed?

I want to generate the sql code to clear all data in tables in the database of flat files, one file per table, one row per record.  I thought I'd try to use the ascii code for characters inherited 31 as a delimiter to separate the fields and start sqlplus. But a problem is how do you get to specify linesize? Are there not a way to get out of creating fixed size records in sqlplus? I would prefer each line to just be so great that it must be rather than set the linesize being the absolute maximum. (32767) or understand what the maximum size is on a per-table basis.

  • View 5.1 with RSA Securid 7.1

We deploy VMware View with RSA Securid 7.1 5.1. We have a RSA and RSA 7.1 installed agent on the server and display the VM VDI and to challenge the value. The View Manager is configured to use RSA according to the doc.

    http://www.RSA.com/rsasecured/guides/imp_pdfs/RSA%20SecurID%20Ready%20Implementation%20Guide-view%20Manager%203.PDF

We also use Cisco VXC 2111 zero clients (connected to the Cisco voip phone). The thin client connects and manages to authenticate with the password. However, the client also asked that the password and then passes the user on the desktop.

I can't find info on how to do to prevent it ask the password too. Any ideas?

EDIT: I discovered that the Cisco VXC 2111 running 4.6 View Client. I wonder if this is the problem?

I'll have to test it with a Wyse P20 and see if there is a difference.

    1. with RSA SecurID authentication, find password guests once SecurID authentication is complete. The password is necessary in order to perform SSO to the virtual office. If the view does not request password, SSO is not possible and the user must sign - one for each virtual desktop in any case. SecurID represents an additional authentication at the beginning of the sequence.

    2. you need not install the RSA Agent on view connection server. View has all that he needs to perform SecurID authentication against RSA Authentication manager.

    3. it is a very old document you are referencing. It's to see 3.0. See here for the latest documentation for each version of the view. http://KB.VMware.com/kb/2003455

    I hope this helps.
