  Can someone please tell me how I can activate a password in the IOM strategy; for users that are created in the IOM?
  I have created users directly in the IOM by using the web console. I want password IOM policy fires each time when the user tries to make a recording.
  
  I want to talk about Login in OIM Design Console-> Administration-> password
  So let's assume I have create a password pocliy here-> suppose I select 'Password' here.
  
  I don't see this policy of password being trigggered/verified whenever I create a user such as IOM.
  
  Anyone know if more changes of configuration or the method is correct? If somehting other thing needs to be done?

  Create after your 18th passwor, you assign to the purpose of resrouce Xellerate user, therefore:

  1) go to the resources-> objects in resource management;
  (2) search for the user of Xellerate;
  3) change in the password policy rules tab.
  (4) assign the password policy, you created;

  Is there a guide on how access CSF - IOM credentials of your composite SOA. I found this example (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/soa_api.htm) which lasts the xelsysadm password codes in the composite SOA. It is said documentation see SOA for more information on how to obtain the credentials of the CSF within a composite SOA. I can't find any documentation describing how to access identifying information.

  It will allow to retrieve the user name and password for a card called 'oracle.oim.sysadminMap' with some key users of 'sysadmin '. In my case, I added xelsysadm and password for this key.

• Password IOM (11.1.1.5) for synchronization to an external system

  I have an external system that requires synchronization password when a user is created, or when users change their passwords to IOM (11.1.1.5). What is the best option to manage this? Do I have to create an event handler on the users to modify and to decipher the password or IOM already does support something easily sync passwords?

  Update the JAVA system property XLUserResource.ProvisionMode. Restart your server. This should now be inserted on a change to the task.

• How to stop IOM generation automatic password during the reconciliation of trust?

  Hello.

  I'm under trust reconciliation against source DB with IOM 11 GR 2 PS3. I want to generate a password for each new user, based on the algorithm required by the customer.

  I created the event handler PostProcess on CREATE and EDIT with the following code:

  UserManager usrMgr = Platform.getService (UserManager.class);

  String newPassword = generatePassword (params); generates a complex password that is good enough for the password by default IOM strategy

  usrMgr.changePassword (UserLogin, newPassword.toCharArray (), true, false);

  Plugin returns no error, however, ultimately what IOM creates a new user with a random password (e.g. blablaqwwdfe11234) which is not equal to newPassword specified by me.

  I want the users to be created with the password I specified, not the random passwords! How turn off this generation of random password or at least to ensure that my plugin is triggered WHEN the random password has been set, so I can rewrite the password necessary to value?

  What is the order of the event handler, you provide?

  I have already established between IOM and application SSO behind OAM.

  I think it must be stretched forward if you deploy the user of IOM, then the configured user will pass through the password of IOM strategy.
  You may need to change some specific attributes of OAM of IOM in the store of users for OAM policy takes effect
  For forgotten password you can provide the connection of IOM in OAM password policy, similarly for the password change.

• Problem with the length of locking in the strategy of password in the OAM

  We are facing a problem with the configuration of length of locking in password policies in Identity Manager interface for our OAM configuration.
  Oracle 10 g version 10.1.4 Access Manager
  The user/policy store: ADAM Ldap [Microsoft ADAM 2003]
  
  After that block us a user in our LDAP after 5 attempts wrong, the values of both attributes in ADAM set updated to 5:
  oblogintrycount
  badPwdCount
  Also, I see that "oblockouttime" is updated with a unix timestamp.
  
  Now, we put the "lock duration" in the strategy of password as an hour. Thus, after 1 hour, the user must be unlocked in ADAM.
  However, after 1 hour when the user tries to connect, it gets the error an incorrect password has been entered for the user ID.
  
  When we check in ADAM, we find the value of "oblogintrycount" has indeed been reset. However, the value of "badPwdCount" will not reset and is always stuck at 5.
  If we set the two values of these attributes to 0, the user can connect again.
  
  Now, OAM should return two values of these attributes to 0, or is it only resets the oblix attributes?
  If it is the latter, is there a way to work around for this problem? Or we are doing something wrong here?

  OAM works only with the ob attributes * and not with the announcement badPwdCount attribute (ADAM). I think that for some reason, the strategies account and password of the ad is to be triggerred. Disable the password AD strategy and it will be Ok.
