  Don't know if you have solved this problem yet,

  I had this problem with every version of Windows 7 I have installed, when it updated the audio driver.

  Right-click on the volume control icon in the lower right part of your screen, the icon "speakers".

  Choose recording devices,

  now try to speak to your microphone, you will see the bars moving in there, make sure that it is the one that has the default value.

  If none do not move, then right-click in the box and display hidden devices and people with disabilities.
