  • Remote password disappear every day

Every morning when I open the Dreamweaver (8) I find that the login and password for my remote host has disappeared. I pull her together and make sure the "Save" box is checked. For the rest of the day, as long as I keep open Dreamweaver, I can get and put files with ease.

However, come the next morning, when I first open Dreamweaver, the login and password fields are empty and I have to go (new!).

What gives? Any ideas? I don't have the full administrator on my computer and it didn't start happening until last fall some time.

When you have "upgraded" to IE7 maybe? Install the 8.02 update. That should fix it.

  • password disappeared during migration

I installed Mozilla on the new computer. Created a new profile. Copied all the files from my old computer to the new folder profile. After the launch of Mozilla a few splash screen displays who told me sth. on the conversion of profile. After completing the initial activities, I saw my old emails in all folders and tried to check for new messages.

Unfortunately, Thunderbird asked me password. It's a sad story, because Mozilla profile on old computer was the only place where this password had been written.

All the utilities that retrieve password Mozilla can't. Internal function Thunderbird to reveal passwords is not see it. It's a strange for me that I see in the passwords all items stored in the file signons.sqlite and my old profile has no such file. The signons.txt file exists. He said something like this:

I do not master password. I think that will simplify the process of password recovery.

    1. "signons.sqlite" can be a file hidden on your old computer. Open Windows Explorer (not IE), click Tools, select Folder Options and view tab. Regarder watch to the bottom of the list, and then select "show the hidden files and folders".

    2. the hard way: go online directly to your ISP servers and select "forgot my password". They either ask you to identify yourself, or send an email to one of your accounts. Use your old computer to read the mail and change the password. Then you can enter it into the new computer.

the format of database password changed since firefox version 31 to 32. I suggest you first creating a backup of the contents of your current profile before continuing: back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox

Please try the following in order to initialize the database migration again: to enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & get preference named signon.importedFromSqlite - right click and restore the default value for that entry and close the browser eventually.
then go to your profile folder and delete the logins.json file in there manually and restart the browser.

30/10/2014 firefox update to version 33.0.2 my password is missing. When looking for solutions, I find the proposal to amend the configuration file "signon.importedFromSqlite" by default. • My Safari passwords disappeared. Is it possible to recover?

In the Safari preferences - show passwords - only four of my many passwords to websites. They were all here this morning. Does anyone know how this could have happened and if it is possible to recover?

    Thank you.

In your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences , and then select the password tab.

Make sure: AutoFill user names and passwords is enabled.

I havef that was already selected, make sure that your OS X software is up to date.

Click on your Apple  top left of your screen.

In the drop-down menu, click on about this Mac

Make sure the " view " tab is selected, and then click software update.

Your Mac may restart several times during the update process. That's ok.

Then see if Safari auto IDs for you.

If there is no update available, you can have an extension Safari or third party plugin installed which is causing a conflict. It is easy to solve the problems.

In the Safari menu, click Safari > Preferences , and select the tab ' Extensions '. If there are installed extensions, one at a time uninstall and exit then restart Safari to test.

If it is not a question of extensions, try troubleshooting third-party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the tab Security Deselect: plug-ins Allow. Quit and restart Safari to test.

You can have a corruption in your user profile. Create a new user, then log in the new credentials to see that behavior continues. If this isn't the case, transfer your downloads, documents and other personal files in the new log in and continue to use it.

  • saved passwords Dungeon disappears when I reboot my MBP

Do you hear the names and passwords in the password manager or do you mean that you are connected is no longer on to (remember to) Web sites after the closing and restarting Firefox?

There is a difference between remembering the name and the password in the password manager and a check box "remember me" on a web page.

The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and which is sent to the server.

If that "remember me" cookie is deleted or is corrupted or is not send to the server, then the server remember that you and you must connect once again.

  • New version lost all my saved passwords and not save everything - I tried help

Earlier versions of registered FF going on very well, but for the two latest updates that the function has stopped working. I tried the steps in the FAQ "passwords not saved", even changed my story custom to always save settings. I don't care. Don't make passwords or even asking me. All passwords that had been in my profile for the last two years are no longer visible in the window of the options "show saved". Should I uninstall Firefox and start over?

The extension 'Remember password' has been reported to cause problems with passwords disappears, so if you have this extension and then remove (uninstall) it.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • : Uncheck the [] "always use the private browsing mode.

It is possible that there is a problem with signons3.txt (encryption key) and logins.json (encrypted names and passwords) in Firefox.
You can open the logins.json file in Notepad (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) to check its content.
Click on the button to "Pretty Print" to fit the file for readability.
If there are names and passwords encrypted in logins.json there is probably a problem with the signons3.txt file that stores the encryption key.
You can rename the file signons3.txt (key3.db.old) and the logins.json (logins.json.old) file or move these files to another folder to make it possible to cancel the action.

Rename or delete a file of possible signons.sqlite (signons.sqlite.old) used by older versions of Firefox as well.
You must define a new master password after renaming or removing the signons3.txt and all the currently saved passwords are lost.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

  • Suddenly all of saved passwords are gone on my pc. How can I get back them?

All saved passwords disappeared suddenly. It's there, but I restart my PC and open my Firefox and none of them are there.

You would need a copy of backup of the files logins.json and key3db (eencryption key) If passwords are really gone.
You can check the logins.json file to see if the file contains documents from password.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • [SOLVED] I lost my passwords recorded after the change of equipment

I had to change my card motherboard and CPU, the other day and immediately after this incident, I seem to have lost all my passwords. The reason I'm sure this is because the only saved password comes from a site I only used after this incident. The only thing I had done recently, except for hardware change has updated firefox to 35.02.

Even after restoring my signons3.txt to a version 4 months, not a single difference was made. Password Manager still has only a unique user name and password, rather than the many I had before. Other than the change of equipment, the boot partition and the players are the same, and nothing has been uninstalled. In addition, I don't know if it's related, but my logins.json file is 1 KB, while the logins.json.corrupt is 109KB. The passwords were saved in there? That I should give a try?

EDIT: Solved with a post by Chris http://codeverge.com/mozilla.support.firefox/saved-passwords-disappeared-on-update/2006894
I don't know how to close this ticket, so feel free to

That line. Solved with a post of someone else mentioned in the http://codeverge.com/mozilla.support.firefox/saved-passwords-disappeared-on-update/2006894

"You can force Firefox to re - import your old passwords." Here's how:
    1. in the address bar, type "subject: config ' (without the quotes) and
    Press < enter >.
    2. click on [I'll be careful, I promise!]
    3. search for the preference: signon.importedFromSqlite
    4. right click on signon.importedFromSqlite and select "Reset".
    5. go to help-> Troubleshooting_Information, then click on [open
Folder]. Which will open Windows Explorer in your Firefox profile.
    6. close Firefox
    7. in your profile folder, delete the file "logins.json". »

    Thanks Chris!

  • Suddenly all of saved passwords are gone on my pc. Always have on android via synchronization. How can I get back them?

I tried to connect on some website and noticed that the password wasn't autofilled.
So I checked the registered "Passwords" window and the view, it is totally empty.

I tried the troubleshooting method described here:
    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Password_Manager#troubleshooting
without success (the missing signon.importedFromSqlite parameter).

I have the logins.json and signons3.txt files that are supposed to contain passwords.

I also have firefox sync, set up for android devices 2 and both of them
    have still all passwords available.

How can I restore passowords on my pc?

The extension 'Remember password' has been reported to cause problems with passwords disappears, so if you have this extension and then remove (uninstall) it.

  • All my passwords are gone after the 32,0 even if privacy set to "remember history".

I used Firefox because it was introduced and he have to remember my password for as long as it was possible. Suddenly, last week, after the upgrade 32.0, all my passwords disappeared completely. I have the privacy settings on ' Firefox will be remember history. Why they disappeared, and how can I get back them? Is there anything harmful, I would be worried (could they were stolen)?

I am Windows 8.0 on a computer running 64-bit with 4 GB of RAM/1 TB HDD. Today, I upgraded to 32.0.1, but passwords are still missing. I have active Sync.

In an odd twist, I've updated to 32.0.1, restarted FireFox and still no password.

HOWEVER, after I restarted the computer, and then open Firefox, NOW my passwords appear (although, curiously, my open tabs were all closed).
