Patch 11.2.0.4.18 (21469106) for Linux environment

Hi friends,

I have a standard of database 11 g 2 11.2.0.4 32-bit on Windows 8 Professional 64-bit on the Spanish. Recently, I applied the patch "WINDOWS DB BUNDLE PATCH 11.2. 0.4.18: (21469106)" 32 bit you can see:

Patch 21469106: applied to my Sep 29 11:46:18 COT 2015

Patch ID: 19288715

Patch description: "WINDOWS DB BUNDLE . 11.2 PATCH " . 0.4.18: (21469106)"

I need to migrate this data to a linux environment, so I have already installed oracle database 11 g 2 on the linux server software.

I has not yet created the database.  I want to apply the same patch to get 11.2.0.4.18 But I can not find this patch for the operating system linux on metalink.

Please could you send me a link to the patch or tell me what is the equivalent patch for the linux environment.

Best regards.

See MOS 1454618.1 Doc - in my opinion, the equivalent is the July 2015 PSU patch - pl open an SR with Support to confirm

  • Patch # for the last startCD (12.1.1.13) for Linux 64-bit platform?

    Hello

I try to install EBS 12.1.1 Oracle Linux 5.8 64 bit. When I started the "rapidwizard" I got following error:

    [root@prod rapidwiz] #. / rapidwiz

Installation Wizard fast is to validate your file system...

Quick Installation Wizard will now launch the Java Interface...

[root@prod rapidwiz] # error: no 'customer' JVM to "/ mnt/hgfs/software_2/R12_64bit/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz/jre/Linux_x64/1.6.0/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so".

    [root@prod rapidwiz] #.

I checked and the file exists at this location. The I did some internet research and found this thread:

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/2351367?TSTART=0

It is said that I should install the most recent startCD/RapidWiz. I wonder if Patch # 11072566) is the same for 32-bit and 64 - bit? If not, what is the patch # for Linux 64-bit platform?

I read he said 'Generic platform' - this means that it can be installed on any platform and 32-bit and 64-bit?

    Please advise!

    Best regards

It is the same for 32-bit and 64-bit. 12.1.x release is a 32-bit application - and can be installed on the operating system 32-bit or 64-bit OS

  • Setting of baud rate with CVI runtime for Linux

    Hello people,

I have a problem regarding the setting of baud rate with the CVI for Linux runtime.

I want to communicate with a device that has a USB-to-serial of FTDI chip. The driver for this device is already included in the kernel (openSUSE 11.1, 2.6.27.23 - 0.1 - default i686 kernel).

I can use a terminal program (HTerm 0.8.1beta) to open the serial port at/dev/ttyUSB0 and can set all baudrates, the unit supports (38400, 115200, 921600) and communication works perfectly.

Now I take the example of series of NEITHER and go under Windows. I developed to support 921600 baud, and it works very well. So I try to run this example on Linux (I've expanded in order to open/dev/ttyUSB0), but it only works for 38400 baud. If I try to put 115200 or 921600 baud, then I get error RS232-14 (invalid baud rate).

It would be nice if there is someone who can give me a suggestion what I need to do to get the job to 921600 baud.

    Best regards

    Martin

    Hi NickB,

    the patch done!

    Thank you very much.

  • Updates security for 11.2 Flash Player for Linux?

When trying to download an update for Flash Player for Linux 11.2, I saw the note saying that there was no new development, but backfixes of security would continue to be released. I've seen the warnings of security for months on my Linux install in Firefox (which is updated), but it doesn't seem to be a security patch that would prevent these warnings "allow - continue blocking" for Flash Player.

When can we expect these to be filled? Linux users can not form an important part of your user base, but the alternatives are extremely expensive hardware and/or software if you want to use an Apple or Microsoft product.

    Hi Tim,.

What is the full version of Flash Player?  The latest version of Linux is 11.2.202.442.  If you go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about there is a widget on the page that will display the installed version.

  • Manager Update for Linux

We went just to ESX 4.1 U1 and we must update VMware tools on virtual machines. I know that I can use Update Manager to 'Upgrade to Host Match' for machines Windows, but it also works for Linux virtual machines? I seem to remember he had problems with this in the past.

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hello Scott

Exactly, Update Manager can updated your Windows and Linux VMS ESX.

Just download the patches and choose correct it for your Linux operating system

  • If you use firefox for linux, I'm unable to open the game client for a called flash browser game darkorbit.

I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 xfce.
The Firefox I use is 42.0 Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint Mint - 1.0.
    Shockwave Flash is 11.2r202.
The browser Flash game is DarkOrbit ( www.darkorbit.com ).
The game was working fine until about 2 months ago.

I log in the game (as before) and get on the last page without any problem.
When I click on 'Start' to go to the game client, the screen is black. The browser tab written game client will blink twice.
Please note that everything works fine when I use the chrome Web browser.
DarkOrbit works very well with Firefox on Windows.

Is there a way to use the pepper Flash used in Chrome/chrome using the freshplayerplugin wrapper.

Your Linux distro may have related packages for it.

Alternatively, you can use Chrome or chrome for that one site and use Firefox for everything else.

Where can I download itunes for Linux OS Ubuntu?

There is not an iTunes for Linux OS

  • Download Firefox for Linux without Adblock and other extensions

I have a problem downloading of an adapted version of Firefox for Linux to run on a Knoppix Live DVD system, for use in the trial publishable extensions I developed under Windows. (This isn't a development question extension, however, just a problem downloading and the FF configuration properly).

I was surprised as the current (FF40) and anterior (FF34) version for Linux come with 3 extensions installed permanently - NoScript, Adblock Plus and FoxyProxy Standard. They apparently cannot be uninstalled, even if they can be disabled.

I read online in various forums that Adblock Plus is a hog memory and that she, in particular, as well as NoScript, may adversely affect the values with legitimate code on Web sites and extensions. I also read complaints from users who disable Adblock Plus does not remove all its effects.

During my tests I had problems that I thought were the result of Adblock Plus, so I turned off and restart the browser. The situation is greatly improved, but there are still some problems that may or may not be related to the shortage of memory.

The question is this: I want to download versions 'clean' FF for Linux without these extensions part 3 installed, for more conclusive tests, but have not found a way to do it.

I'm also curious as to why these extensions are 'forced' on Linux users. (I hope that never happens on Windows, or I could become a less committed user of the FF).

Firefox any version for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows www.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all doesn't come with all Extensions.

You already had these extensions installed in Firefox profile, you use with Firefox.

All three of these Extensions are by a third author (s) and not by Mozilla.

  • When released the new version of Mozilla Firefox for Linux.

Whenever I open the browser, it continues to display the message that is earlier than the version of my browser.

But I cant Update since its not released yet for Linux.

Do not wait for the new Version to be published
Other than that, the browser is fast and easy to use

You seem to have the provided version of Firefox 35.0.1 Ubuntu

You can get the update of Firefox 39.0 of in on your distribution package manager or you can get Firefox from www.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all

If you choose to mozilla.org , sure it is 64-bit as 32 bits will not run unless you have the appropriate packages.

Mozilla does not updates for versions of others, including the packages provided by Linux distributions.
