  I have a HP g7 with an AMD APU A6 - 4400 m and 8 GB of RAM installed. I've had this laptop as a gift from my parents and often find myself with a high enough % of cpu in the Task Manager. It is just making multitasking normal and with a new install of Windows 10. I know my way around well enough but not too sure jobs on computers laptops any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. With my luck the cpu will be well soldered to the Board of Directors. • Pavilion 423.teleglobe uk replacing the cpu fan

  Hi, first post so hope gives enough information.

  The CPU fan above radiator has a missing Blade (no idea what happened and not in the case!).  The computer has been used very slow for a few months and this may have a role to play.  I formatted and replaced Windows XP a few times and always very slow.

  I tried to get a replacement without success and I was wondering if anyone can help on where to get a new?

  Hello livingstonc, I'd be a bit wary of this model, because it has only 2 000 rpm and speed to other Coolermaster is 2 500 rpm. This may not provide enough air cooling of the CPU under load.

  I bought my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop 2011 as it starts a is overheating, freezing windows with noisy fan sound etc... but now, on information in BIOS boot indicating that the CPU fan has stopped working so immediately, I checked that I couldn't hear any noise from fan and no symptoms as fan works so I disassembled my laptop and removed CPU cooler fan only. Simply with the help of the battery, I checked the CPU fan it is running perfectly alone. but it does not work with the laptop.

  Please help me and guide what is the cause of this problem and how to solve this problem.

  Computer blocks once the fan CPU runs at max speed. Initially, the computer would occationally freeze after waking up from sleep mode (CPU fan would be occaionally operate at full speed & freeze the system).  Now cannot load even in windows. It freezes at the configuration of the BIOS once the fan turns at speed computer crashes if the CPU fan run at maximum speed wherever you are!

  1. I did the cleanning & lubrication & even take the battery to reset the Bios but no success too.

  (Before I can reset the Bios it will run normally.)

  2. remove all USB devices except the mouse & keyboard

  3. detach & attach Ram memory & graphic card

  I saw a ROM_Recovery shunt on the motherboard label. Must I do? or can someone help, please?

  What CPU is installed in your laptop?

  It isn't really a question of what HP is recommended. Your concern should be what the CPU manufacturer lists as Tjunction for the CPU.

  If your laptop is the Intel Core i7-2630QM installed then lists Intel 100 c as TJunction. I found the technique for your laptop here. You should be concerned if you see time > 85 degrees Celsius. Here is a link to Intel for your processor plug.

  It's just a visual indication of when your drive is reading or writing data - so if it flashes quickly this would indicate a lot of hard drive activity, less when the LED flashes slowly.

  You can remove your AMD A4 processor and install a

  AMD A8 - 3520M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

  The manual shows how to do it. The A8 processor will be a quick replacement; You can reuse the heat sink and won't need any part other than the processor.
