Pavilion dv5-1235dx does not load.

I just installed windows 7 hard disk after a full wipe, now that the software is up and running for the AC adapter LED will show is no longer the battery is charging, and even if the laptop is turned off it still refuses to load. I was going to run the flash BIOS to see if that would solve the problem but it is said to do with external power supply connected and I'm afraid to do so under the power of the battery.

This is NOT the first time that to happen, the first time it stopped I had checked under warranty and HP replaced the hard drive for seemingly no reason at all.

In addition, we intermittent cases where the laptop refused to pay and unplugging of it is current and in another solved the problem, but this time it seems not to tour.

Any ideas.

See you soon.

Hello

First, stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter unplugged, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the AC adapter and see if the laptop won't boot without the battery inserted, if so, windows open, panneau Panel configuration, open the Device Manager, expand the entry for the Batteries, do a right-click on theMicrosoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and selectUninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the laptop's battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - let Windows for a few minutes with nothing running. Then stop the laptop again.  Plug the AC adapter / back in and start the laptop to see if it contributed to the issue.

Best wishes

My laptop does not continue to boot the system, when I press the button it starts feeding and then he shows me the HP logo in the lower left corner "Press ESC for Boot Menu" does not continue, and stop there and does not respond to any button only for the power button then it turns off, I tried everything. It happened after wile recovering the session of my recovery disk.

Please help me identify what the problem is?

I hope I'm wrong, but it is quite possible that your hard drive is damaged and must be replaced. I'll tell you why I think so.

Last year at the end of December, I had the same problem with my HP Pavilion dv6. When I pressed the power button only the HP logo and the "press ESC for Boot Menu" appeared. I wasn't able to get into the BIOS or to do anything else. The laptop take-out hung on the HP Logo. I gave the laptop HP service and they told me that my hard drive has disappeared and they replaced. The strange was that my laptop was fairly new, I've had for 3 months. The good thing is that they have replaced the hard drive for free, because it was under warranty.

My cd/dvd RW drive + will recognize and play CDs of music in Windows Media Player, it will recognize the DVD as if a cd of music but will not play and has the error message that there is not enough memory. In HP Media Smart DVD it opens and turns and then said: "no disc inserted in the drive."   Troubleshooting all said that the drive works very well. Y at - it a fix for this problem? How would I know if it's a damaged optical disc?

    Hi bcwain,

I've done some additional research not enough memory error you receive and found something for you to try. Try the best answer to this Yahoo Answers link.

If this does not work try using VLC Player, it is a free media player and open source. I use it on my XP machine at home that some videos have had a problem with playing on Windows Media Player. You can download it here.

  • Recovery DVD does not load

    Hi guys,.

I use a HP Pavilion A6120N Vista. It has a SATA RAID 0 HD value.  Machine will not start. After ordering the HP Recovery Disk Set, I tried to run the program of recovery.  It displays a message that "Windows loading files...". ». When the progress bar is completed, I get a small bar (2 1/2 inch long) with a few lines on this subject moving from left to right.  Below I have the symbol of copyright and Microsoft Corporation.  But it makes no further along than that.  I put the devices to boot from first and second for the dvd player.  I tried to start with each of them the three DVDs.  I tried to start with disk 1, 30 minute wait and the withdrawal of disc 1 / insert disk two.  I tried booting with the UBCD and another bootable cd and then insert disc 1.  I tried to start with the two disc and pressing F11 I got "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and press Enter". When I replace it with two disc, I get the same results as above.  Nothing works. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open for them.

After trying on & more, I got another result.  Without the disc in the drive, if I do not press F11 at startup, I get a choice of starting recovery or start windows normally.  These two choices lead to the small bar mentioned above with the lines moving from left to right. If I press F11, it goes straight to "Windows loading files...". "and the little bar with lines.  I chatted with HP support and they said the 800 number.  They told me that the OS is corrupted which causes the restore disc does not load.  Now, I thought that starting a CD/DVD without going through the operating system.  What's in Vista?  Can he change?  I saw as a warning to the other cd/dvd drive (dvd - rw 16 x pbds dh-16a1L) requires an update of the firmware to recognize the HP recovery discs.  I have the drive HL-DT-STdvdrrw.  Could it have the same problem and it had not just been documented?  So far, I am at a total loss.

    Thank you

AFAIK boot failure disk means one or both of the drives went bad or BIOS (F10) must be set to zero by default. So if the raid 0 Setup and a defective hard driveis then you need to get out that the hd and run recovery on the drive to work or wait until you get to another replaced.

No, you do NOT have a corruption of the operating system, and Yes, the recovery disc bypasses the operating system on the drive. Windows Vista disk hard is not effect or prevent recovery disks because the disks will always wipe clean first the drive working.

    Try the following steps.

    (1) reboot the pc and go into F10 for installation (for vista)

On the MAIN tab, check to make sure that your hard drives are both recognized where says 1st or 2nd disk, etc.

It should look like WDC, SAMSUNG, ST... etc.

    (a) if it is not in the list, then check the SATA cable and power cables inside your computer to make sure it is plugged both ends properly and reconnect the cables to the two discs.

    (b) if only 1 disk is listed, then the other one may went bad on you and I would be the wrong drive breaker go back into the BIOS F10 menu and check that the right drive appears under you devices.

I would then run a recovery disk of 1 until you replace it. In this case you will not have a raid 0 configuration more since she was only 1 player used.

    (2) try also reset the BIOS default settings by going to the menu of the BIOS F10 at startup and press F5, then press Yes then enter then F10, then Yes, then enter to restore the default BIOS settings.

    (3) after the reboot back to the BIOS menu and go right on the Startup tab and choose boot DEVICE PRIORITY and set the 1st boot device to the Group of HARD drive, then save the changes and exit the BIOS.

If you want that you set the CDROM boot first yo group.

You can also turn on the pc and press ESC to boot from the hard drive or a disk drive group.

I recommend first resetting the default BIOS settings and check the devices first, before opening the pc.

Well, you could... but maybe the kind of spendy for a PCthat more than 3 years. I think about buying a new and I could remove the drive and see if I could read it as a second drive in the new PC - to try to recover your files out of it. If you want to continue the repair, here is a page of repair HP site that has a list of authorized service providers: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/store-finder/find.do?bs=SR4&type=authorized

  • The sound on my HP Pavilion G6-1a19wm does not work

Hi the sound on my HP Pavilion G6-1a19wm does not work.   His "only" works when you use the audio plug with external speakers.   I tried to uninstall the driver, update the driver, microsoft fix - it and troubleshooting steps.  audio device present in the Device Manager and supposedly working properly, mute is "not"on."  visually everything audio related things suggest that the audio is fine and troubleshooting finds no problem... what else could it be?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55036.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • Is there a settings in Win7/HP have that battery does not load until it is less than 95%

I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6 - 7043cl laptop and have noticed that the battery does not load unless it is less than 95%.  I am very concercerned because I had one cell different from another company where I had battery problems.  That the manufacturer was not helpful, and I will never buy their share again.

I heard good things about HP, that's why I decided to buy this particular machine.  However, I've only had this machine for 3 days and now it begins.  I can't find a Win 7 (I'm under Win 7 home Premium 64-bit) setting that controls when the battery starts to charge.  It is a function of the HP Power Manager?  Is this a feature of the ships with their computers HP laptop battery?  Or is it that indicates a problem with this machine?   I am a student and I need a reliable laptop for school.

Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

After upgrading to Mac OS on my Mac Mini (end of 2011), everything seems to work properly. I rebooted the Mini just to be on the safe side. Everything went well. It was Tuesday night.

Thursday morning, the first opportunity, I get to mess with it, I opened Safari, try to connect to my router Asus RT-N66U (with the latest firmware), but somehow Safari doesn't seem to like https, nor does it like .asp pages. Here is a screenshot of what's on my Mac Mini Safari:

I then decided to download Google Chrome. I installed (never had on this Mac Mini), but the page works perfectly and quickly.

I have reset everything I could on Safari, including clear them cache, clear history, tried the developer mode (no matter WHICH mode in there still gives the same results)... on the cable connections and wireless. Chrome works without a hitch, as Safari before Tuesday. Now, nothing...

... However some pages such as Google.com or Apple.com loading properly. I haven't checked if there are applets missing in the back or a dark rendering problem.

  • Since Apple ridiculously decided to abandon the center of games tab of my friends in the game does not load automatically and I have to go to GC and click the circle of friends so he could load, MORE I wonder constantly if I want to use my game stored loc

Since Apple decided to abandon the center of games tab of my friends in the game does not load automatically and I have to go to GC icon and tap the circle of friends so he could load several times, MORE we continue to request if I want to use my game stored locally or my stored GC game. I refuse to install iOS 10, because it means of course I won't be able to manually load the tab my friends and my losing my game completely. How can I fix it? Remove the Center game is the worst thing that Apple could have done, in my humble OPINION.

You will not lose your game entirely. I have several games of game Center, and they work fine. And I understand the developer of a game that this game center continues to store the backup of your game.

It's just that now friending is handled via the interface of the game. The only options that you have in iOS10 is to go to the settings panel in / log out of game center or remove all friends. And none of the games I play has updated so I can see how their friending works with iOS10.

Beyond providing the basic interface, Apple seems to have turned all aspects of the social game on the games themselves.
