  Hi, I have this very annoying problem where the touchpad freezes from time to time. He always thaws by itself, but it can last between 1 second to 1 minute for that to happen.

  I read the solutions for other people with the same problem, but nothing seems not to work. I tried to hard reset, reinstalling the driver, update the driver, reset the keypad touch and all the rest I found in this forum.
  What can I do now?

  Is someone can you please tell me how I can set up Zones of tap? The clickpad of my Pavilion dv6t-3000 is not good, the buttons are very difficult. Impossible to get an improvement since the parameters of the BIOS, or worse, even the HP service center... I am trying to configure tapping under mouse properties settings, but not able to see the option 'Areas of tap' as stated in the website ( http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00678194 )

  Hi David, thanks for posting this... I haven't actually tried the method above, so do not know if it works or not. Before I even gave your method a test, I tried something else and it worked!

  It worked! Finally, I was able to set up the area of tap for my laptop.

  Just a quick note for those who would use the touchpad and the clickpad not... This will not activate if the click of a button is activated. Then uncheck buttons activate or activate the option clickpad and you should be able to use the touchpad click

  I have the HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC, with 8 GB of RAM, hard disk 7200 RPM and 32 GB of WSSD Cache on the hard drive, and I noticed that there was a problem of freezing of small. Happens at random times, everything freezes, I get messages only respondents, and if the music plays, he also stops, but he just goes for 15 seconds and picks up back.   I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter.  For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n.  They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.

  The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)

  Found a solution.  Both HP and windows said I had the most current drivers, but this HP forum had a link to a newer driver.  Installed and it worked.

• Pavilion dv6t 7000: failure of the BIOS (Caps lock flashes twice a secone)

  My laptop model number is Pavilion dv6t 7000. In recent days, he had a problem. When I turned off my laptop and put it off, the next day I find that is not starting. I tried so many method like (Windows key + B), (byholding down the power button for 1 minute), (Flash UEFI) etc. to solve the problem of failure of the bios, nothing worked at all. What is the problem?  Is this really a failure of the bios? How can solve this problem? What is a dangerous problem? There the chances that my laptop is completely exhausted?

• w2207h monitor and Pavilion dv6t

  I have a new Pavilion dv6t Select laptop running WIndows 7 64 bit directly connected to a monitor in w2207h 22. It does not preserve the configuration of display resolution when I power it back up again.  Before he turned off had a resolution of 1680 x 1050 configuration, small icons, and other parameters, the first two being those that I am more interested in maintaining.

  I used to have a laptop no HP on a docking station connected to this same screen, the old laptop had no problem to recognize the resolution that I put up on the screen.  In fact, all I had to do was power up and presto.

  My new dv6t does not keep the display setting unless I do the following:

  (1) I opened the lid of the laptop and start it (if it is extended or not standby mode)

  (2) when he us operational, the monitor looks different (large icons, fuzzy fonts, lower resolution).

  (3) I use the F4 key to tell him that I have duplicate monitors.

  (4) the monitor then displays the appropriate resolution.

  If I don't tell her to do with the F4 monitor rest at the wrong resolution (for example (for the larger icons, fuzzy fonts, a lower resolution).

  I'm annnoyed enough I need to power my laptop by opening the cover when it is connected to the monitor, but now I have to do the extra step of the F4 to get the external screen is displayed correctly.

  Try using the latest version of the ATI video driver.  Don't forget to create a system restore point before updating the pilot arrived that something goes wrong.

  Look at the bottom of the laptop.  Do you see a sticky HP label with the model number?

  I want to improve my wireless card, currently Intel Centrino N-1000, one with bluetooth. I saw a lot of people do and replace it with an Intel Advanced-N 6230 on different computers, but I am also aware that this can cause problems with my BIOS. If anyone can tell me if it works with my computer

  I don't think that any card WiFi dual band (5 GHz) will work. The best option for you is Intel 1030. It's the same chip as the 1000 but combo with bluetooth. Reference number: 631956-001. This part number is indicated in the manual as Intel 6230.

  Does this mean that only your touchpad freezes or the computer?

  So without more information it of difficult to say something about this but I recommend you to install the latest driver for the touchpad on Toshiba website:

• TouchPad freezes on Satellite L40 - 18Z

  Hi all, first Post.

  I am a former technician of I.T. & worked on computers since 1984, & on laptops since 2001.

  This topic is mainly about the L40 - 18Z, but 2 other models are mentioned.

  I met a problem with the TouchPad on a Toshiba L40 - 18Z, (& also an A100-338) running costs two installs 32-bit Vista Home Premium but not a recovery Partition or a Dvd.
  Same problem as well on a L300 - 25K running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium.

  The touchpad freezes sometimes. Sometimes, you can move the arrow cursor, but very slowly.

  All 3 work fine, now with a Usb mouse.

  ALL the latest drivers on the Toshiba site are installed on laptops all 3.
  All updates are installed with Microsoft.
  ALL have the latest Bios updates.

  The L300 - 25K & the A100-338, I think I solved the problem by installing the package of value added, but the VAP software is not listed in the section for the L40 drivers.
  I tried both the L300 & A100 VAP on the L40, but they did not work.

  Strangely, on the L40, I reduced the 1280 x 800 screen resolution to 1280 x 768 & the problem seems to have, at least for the last day or so!

  Also, I found that unplugging the power cord "cured" the problem on all 3 laptops right now.

  I tried to feed all 3 laptops without batteries at the same time that the fault occurred, but cela made no difference, while the batteries must be in agreement.

  The L300 is my own personal laptop & the other 2 are members of the family.

  I don't think that laptops specifications is relevant to this problem, but let's go anyway:

  I would go to the bottom of this for all future repairs, so if anyone has any suggestions...?

  SynTPEnh.exe belongs to the Synaptics touchpad driver and I think that you have software installed on the laptop that doesn't work with this touchpad driver
  It's only a guess, but maybe some firewall or anti-virus tool could block this exe. Maybe you should check it using a clean operating system.

  Also try reinstalling the driver for the touchpad maybe it helps.

• Satellite A500 keyboard and Touchpad freeze but the computer is still active

  Hi, I hope that some might be able to help me with this frustrating problem.

  Keyboard and mouse on my laptop have, during the last 4 months, been freezing almost randomly.

  This problem occurs only with the keyboard and notebook computer touchpad. If I use an external USB mouse, I have no problem.

  Please note that this is not all the freezing system. Once the keyb + touchpad freeze has occurred, I can always plug in a USB mouse and continue to use the computer.

  I have windows 7 64-bit.

  And what model of laptop do you have?
