Pavilion DV7 1261wm: my laptop turns off suddenly

OK my old is about four and a half years. I sent in February to get a good cleaning and chekout in the same office, I am using since I bought it because we told hp approved certified and guaranteed mobile phones to send too. In any case... Says that my hard drive was damage to 80% then I did change for a new and I have a lot of opinions of improvements such as the excellent video work and it runs faster so averall I was happy until he his suddenly stopped! I got as maybe he done a refresh and I did not notice then it happens again and again once at different days, but not every day so on until yesterday it stopped 4 times and I noticed he ussually did when there was a programm treatment much and temperatures exceeding 45 degrees.  I have an AMD turion procesor dualx2.

Original HP hard drive was a x64bits but the new is a 32 bit and has a 2.2 GHz just in case an SMbios 2.4.

I check the fan. The small place it blows cool air and more to the screen one blows hot air. the sound only wjen I open a program of many processes like autocad or turns on the machine. I notice also before when to stop he did done gently, but now it is a 'plop' sound and is disabled.

assessment of the system is 4.9

This sounds like the card system is on its way. I remember these portable line card system video problems and seems like your begins to encounter this problem.

A common cause of this kind of behavior is overheating. One thing to try:

Unplug the unit and remove the battery. Use a vacuum and target different cooling openings. Replace the battery and reconnect it. Check the operation.

  • HP Pavilion notebook15-ab035ax: computer HP Pavilion 15 laptop turns off suddenly on low battery

I bought my hp laptop Pavilion in India. Now, I live in England. For the last month or two, I have problems with my laptop. Whenever the laptop is on battery power, it does very quickly. It randomly stops (no stops, just turned off with a gut wrenching tinkling of the hard drive) at any time under load of 50%. no notification of low battery or go into hibernation. It can happen in the middle of typing a sentence or you to browse.

I ran the diagnostic. Software battery check HP first showed a result of "low battery." I was about to order a new battery, when I ran the software once again, who now says "main battery OK.

It's very confusing, because even if we agree that the battery has developed a problem, I do not understand why the system is not detect low battery or putting the computer to Hibernate, depending on settings. I checked the drivers - updated.

The laptop is just a year and 3-4 months.

Should I replace the battery? Or is it a software error in the new upgrade of windows 10?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Windows 7 64 - bit OS I've been running smoothly for about five months until today.

I consult emails and watch a vidio utube and he just lost power.

When I turned it back on I was presented with windows is not stopped correctly and I chose to start in normal mode.

It ran fine for another five minutes and did the same thing.

I had a few problems cooling fan but have always used on a four cooling fan Matt who has kept more than heating.

I have no viruses, checked for any material conflics and found nothing Device Manager.

I did update the BIOS when I bought the laptop with no problems, so I don't think it's that.

I'm prety savey when it comes to understand and find problems with my PC, but it left me speechless.

Can someone please give me some advice and point me in a direction I thought to havn't.

    Thank you

The behavior looks like an overheating problem.

By chance, have any of you tried to use canned air to blow out the vents with?

The graphics card and processor are more deeply in the unit. While the events may appear not necessarily immediate sings, there might be dust accumulate more in is not normally visible. I would like to start with the video in this post. This is a universal desktop and portable video, but looks like he's starting to discuss the books around the 2 minute mark. It is possible I missed a portable reference earlier in the video, then it may be useful to view all.

    Let me know what happens.

  • HP G62 - b26SL: laptop turning off suddenly. After that, no way to put running, for days.

Hello. A few days ago, my laptop suddenly off and after that there is no way to do marketing! The button was just clear up for a fraction of a second and then nothing else. I tried to turn it on several times, but not at all, it was all the same. So, I removed the battery and replaced again, but not way: the laptop was dead air! I retried to swich on the next day, but I had exactly the same behavior: a few flashes of the switch, then nothing else. A few days later, to assess, I knew not what, the laptop turned on and it seemed running! Once again, after a few hours of operation, all of a sudden it turned off and no wy to get running. Hystory repeated until yesterday, where at one point he turned on. Now, it seems running, but I don't know until when. What I've done so far, it was just to update the BIOS to the latest available. Then I ran the diagnostic tools, and all was going well run. So I'm a little confused... Does anyone know about a similar behavior? Can anyone help this issue? It may be the last post I write from my laptop. Thanks in advance for your reply and your time. Mario.

    Hi @spream01 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your laptop HP G62-b26SL and stop. Here is a link on the reduction of the heat. There could be something useful in the fan that blocked such document.

I recommend to restore the default settings of the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. This will have the BIOS check the connected equipment. If an update has changed the BIOS that it will restore and generally solves all problems.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

Have you installed new hardware on the laptop?

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-1269us stopped himself turn off reboot screen black

My HP Pavilion dv7-1260us went 'pop' and turns off.

I hit the power button. The LEDs (sound, WiFi, etc.) in line with the power button all came on but the screen stays black and the fan was running.

I turned it off. I turned it on with the same results. I unplugged the AC and the battery. I repeated several times and the results have remained the same.

With the battery and unplugged HQ, I held the button for 30 seconds. Re-installed the battery and AC with the same results. I have also repeated this process several times. I also did this procedure with only battery reinstalled with the same results.

I opened the DVD player and inserted the CD 1 of 2 restore disks. Then I turned on the computer. The fire came what is on the DVD player door then spun it and the light went all the time that the screen was black. I repeated this process with the same results.

I always get a black screen with all led on/autour lit keyboard lights and the fan runs whenever I try to start.

In addition to the led lights is lit, a flashing white light is to the left of the "caps lock" key and a 2nd white flashing in between the "end" and "page up" keys every time.

  • Laptop turned off suddenly, without warning, no overheating... why?

I was playing world of warcraft, who has done this to me before, so I guess it wasn't the cause. The laptop just blow off, keyboard lighting, display, except for the light in the front, so I knew that it was not out of the battery life low power. I pressed the power button to restart it, and he did nothing. I had to actually unplug the laptop, remove the battery and reinsert it, now it's working and back on fine apparently. Windows did not offer an explanation of why he does this. The laptop was not too hot, the fans were going nuts, so I guess it wasn't a heating problem. I don't think it was a power surge or anything, lights and clocks are fine and always on...

That's happened? Tell me, how can I know? I don't want to do that while I'm doing something important next time...
Thanks in advance for your answers.

It could be the problem hardware or a problem with Windows. If you are looking for event viewer and check the date and this problem occurred, you will see the error there and you could see what was the cause.

If it states that he just stop unexpectly, it could be due to hardware problem.

  • Pavilion dv7 - 4183cl laptop turns off its own

My Pavillion dv7 - 4183cl laptop turns off its own without any warning or error messages and then restarts asking power on the passsord, etc. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. Occurrences are more frequent over time.

The first thing I would check is your laptop fan. You hear it works while the laptop is on, or it is disabled? If the fan fails, the laptop overheats. To protect themselves, the laptop turns off. It could also be that you have little dust blocks the air fan. The best option is to have someone to disassemble the laptop and clean, but some people have managed with the help of compressed air. The problem with this is that it blows back into the laptop. Perhaps vacuum?

A farily common problem with most laptops is the integrated graphics processors. Over time, the GPU becomes disattached from the motherboard. If this happens, the laptop will be closed or does not start at all. Generally however, there isn't a lot of attention if that is the case, the computer stops working one day.

2 / start your laptop and start Windows in SafeMode (F8 at startup). The same thing happens again?

  • Z510 turns off suddenly

    Hello
A year ago, I bought a computer laptop lenovo z510.

Today, I have a problem that concerns me. After using 3 or 4 hours on my laptop battery suddenly off without notice or low battery alarm, when the pressure gauge indicates remaining 70% (for example).

What is the main problem and how can I solve this problem?

the battery is hurt? (I usually use with balanced and connected mode).

    (I use win 8.1)

In response to customer relationships of unexpected problems with the performance of the batteries portable Z500 and Z510, Lenovo made an update of the firmware of battery available via download on the Lenovo Forums.

This battery firmware is intended to solve unexpected load following symptoms when a Z500 and Z510 mobile phone is turned on:

    • Battery is dead

    • Battery is not detected

    • Battery is detected and charged 100%, but when the power is removed, the laptop turns off immediately

    • When the battery is fully charged and the AC power is removed, the battery level falls considerably less than 10 minutes

Please note a procedure step by step for the upgrade of the firmware is included in the .zip file, found in the file "ReadMe".

The battery firmware update can be downloaded here: https://download.lenovo.com/lenovo/content/sm/z500_z510_battery_firmware_update.zip

I'm just why my laptop turn off itself, because today ' today I was connected to Skype, I was talking with my family, but all of a sudden it turned off I don't know what is happening... can you please tell me what's happening.. .thank you

Another thing is this may be WHAT BIOS is configured to shut down the PC at the same time. Which battery is low or adapter will be disconnected, and then PC also turns off. Some malware can also turn off PC, in order to check this run full scan with your anti-virus and see if something might detect.

    Hello

you have always guaranteed on your machine? If Yes, then you must contact a local servicepartner for a hardwarecheckup.
I mean what sense wants to know what this flashing code means? You can when not even repair your computer by yourself, because it
code flashing sometimes means some material poroblem serious and controlled by a technician from toshiba.

Just take my advice and bring your machine to local servicepartner, they will help you. Under the following link you will find an index of ASP that will guide you to the second (next) servicepartner available in your country:

  • My laptop turns off itself Compaq presario c500

My laptop turns off itself Compaq presario c500

This may be a problem with the power supply for laptop. Power drain the computer once and then check to see if the same problem still exists. In order to drain the computer, disconnect all external devices from the computer and also to take the charger and battery, then press on and press and hold power for 30 seconds and release.

Also a BIOS update if available on HP.com for model laptop.

You can also see the computer in BIOS. Power on the computer and immediately, press the F10 key to load the BIOS, and then leave the computer as it is in the screen of the BIOS for some time and check if the computer turns off again and if it still cell phone off on its own while it is in the BIOS then contact HP and arrange for the service on the computer
