  • My HP Pavilion g6 fan does not work.

I bought a HP Pavilion g6 2230tx a few months back and its cooling fan has stopped working.
It was working fine, but the problem started when I played Euro Truck Simulator 2 full settings. The cooling fan has been throwing a large amount of heat and the fan was moving quickly, but I continued to play. Later that day, when I turned on my laptop, it showed an error which was: "the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly and continued operation can cause damage.
    Fan system (90 b)'.
Then I turns off after 15 seconds.
My laptop is under warranty until 2016-06-16 [YYYY-MM-DD] and the Security category is "guarantee of the factory." {Deleted personal information} & product number is C9L64PA #ACJ. Now my question is that how much HP will take to repair or replace my laptop fan. Will it be free? ;-)
    And I live in India.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Hüffer
I tried what you say except clean it with compressed air and a paperclip. I'm going to send my laptop for repair and now I hope they'll work again.

  • HP Pavilion boot fan stop 1154sa g6-problem

So I'm having a problem with my Pavilion G6 1154sa. The cooling fan seems to be playing it just started, the high efficiency of speed and barely making a noise before cutting again, it does until finally the laptop overheats and shuts down, which gives the error message on loadup, that there is a problem with the fan. So, I tried to take part my laptop and cleaning on the openings of ventilation and inside the turbine, which I did, and reassembling it and still no change. Will it get a new fan? My warranty is exceeded so get it fixed is not a viable option for me, not a cheap option at least.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will need a new cooling fan. HP part number is 639460-001.

  • Pavilion p6361fr - fan runs loud

    Hello

My client has a Pavilion p6361fr running under windows 7 Edition family, the office has not been used for a few weeks and has been electrically disconnected. When it has been used again, the cpu fan has worked very quickly with a noise hard CONSTANTLY. (it is very clean: no dust at all)

Don't you think that a CMOS reset could solve the problem? I feel like the motherboard is dying, but I would like to have a confirmation before starting the PC in the trash.

Also, I have an alert on the main hard drive: smart error, I certainly will replace it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Reset Cmos fixed the problem.

  • Question on Pavilion g7 fan/radiator replacement

I have a HP Pavilion g7. It's a little more than 3 years now. The product number is XV343AV and the model number is g7t-1000. The fan was very loud and noisy for a while and I had the overheating computer once, but most of the time, it worked. However, yesterday my fan has stopped working. I intend to take my computer school and have their problems, but I need to order the parts for it.

Look for the pieces on the HP site tells me I can get a Module sinks - UMA HM55 with the number 637189-001 and Module ventilation with the number 639460-001 (and there is also the option of a thermal buffer kit).

My question is, should I buy the fan and the heat sink? Is one in another / they are not supposed to be linked together? What happens if I just replace the fan and not the radiator?

You can replace just the fan, but you must remove the Fan/Heatsink unit. It's pretty obvious, how once you get the device from the laptop. The radiator is a piece of metal and really can't fail. The fan is the part that fails. When you put everything back together make sure to use good thermal paste applied sparingly and properly.

  • HP Pavilion G7: Fan of grinding noise?

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion G7, and he had problems with fan for a few months now. It will start making a grinding noise and sometimes disappear. Lately, however, it has not disappeared. I removed the keyboard and tried to suck dust, ran some tests system, pilots resettled... nothing works! In addition, it is certainly the fan, not the hard drive. Need help please, without this computer, I can't do my homework, continue to save games.

    Hey @PyreticFyre ,

I would check the implementation of the fan, just to ensure something does not rub. I would also test the HP Diagnostic as it can help to diagnose a piece failed hardware in the laptop.

    Thank you.

Currently, there is not an available BIOS update to solve this problem. Run the HP TuneUp application now and then to see if they become available.

  • Pavilion 15-p253nh: HP Pavilion laptop fan is too loud

    Hello!

I have a laptop HP Pavilion with Windows 10 64-bit 15-p253nh and its fan is too loud. I bought the laptop 3 months ago and it was not noisy at the time. It does not seem to reduce the speed of the fan even in idle. I used to hear nothing by reading an article on the web. I wanted to check the speed of the fan, but I couldn't.

I used all the programs I found like SpeedFan, HWMonitor, HWInfo, but none of them contained the fan speed. How could it be possible? How could I find it speed (RPM)? I think that maybe they can't recognize the fan for some reason any.

I put it in mode 'Sleep' with no chance either.

I also tried to put 'Political system cooling' 'Passive', nothing has changed.

I looks like after that I turned on the laptop the fan is set to a level and it remains there. The only way to change it (upward) is to use resources demanding programs.

According to HWInfo, CPU temperatures are roughly between 35 and 45 celsius, so it does not overheat.

All the drivers are up to date.

    Thanks in advance

  • Cooling on my Pavilion d5000t fans were for as much as I know never activated despite the summer

My desktop d5000t at the Pavilion with Vista computer is.

Despite outside temperatures approaching 80 degrees F in my office, apparently my cooling fans never came.  Is there something I need to do to ensure their start-up if temperatures triggered in the case of funds?

In addition, some fans turns on if the temperature of the processor needs them.

  • Pavilion a1620y FAN problem

I took out the internal fan and I do not know if it must blow into the thing, he is attached to or outside. There are two fans a blow to the back and the other attached to something with Ribbon small fins. I have now the internal fan, blowing the heat far from anything whatsoever. Help, please!

SORRY; the fan has a label on both sides, we say this model fan, and it is now on the outside and inside that is next to the area of the label say how much makes the fan? I thank; s for your help!

Basically, the air should blow outwards so that the air is out of the unit.  The upper part of the fan must be turned outwards, while the underside must be oriented with the heatsink of heat or inside the case.  The image below shows the top of a 120mm fan (the side who face upward or outward).

  • Pavilion m9517: fan on HP m9517 replacement

I need to know which fan to buy as a replacement. I can't find any parts list. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Your product is the m9517c?

    The rear case fan is a standard # 5188-3722.  He's a fan of 92x92x25mm 3 pins.

' 92mm 3.6 ", is 80mm 3.15.  Back the box (normally a 92mm) is a 3-wire fan and 1600 rpm is no longer. The CPU fan is usually a 4-wire, rated at 3000 rpm PWM fan. Where several users mistake is to select low fan RPM, causing the system sensors trigger a 'failure '.

  • Pavilion g084ca: Hp pavilion strange fan noises

Just got it 2 months now but problem began in the first weeks. its good but then all suddenly your hear a scratch or questions of fan of him. I can hear it from the right down corner of the laptop.

    Hey @workingonit,

You have RESTORED the factory default BIOS update?

Check the fan to see if there is debris or dust on the fans. Here is a link that might help.

If this is not enough, you need to replace the fan. Here is a link to your service manual page 42 for part numbers and how.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-110f: 110f hp pavilion CPU fan?

Noisy fan problem, it's the one attached to the radiator.  I hear it all the time, but sometimes it will be rev.

    It's a 80mm.

I looked online because I thought I could get just a 80mm fan, but after reading a bit more, I'm nervous about doing things that match.

How can I say which fan to get and I need to replace the radiator and the fan, or can I get just a fan for him?

I have the processor AMD phenom II (x 4), fwiw.

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks, this looks like good advice - and I definitely not dirty with the heat sink.

Get some canned air and do what you suggested, I think / hope there's a good chance that that's it, that is.  Nothing 'wrong', sounds a bit worked - snoring is pretty even.

    Last two questions however:

For the kind of fine dust, Backen-we who is on the boards/circuits/chips exposed in places, canned air will take care of that as well, or can I use some on a cotton swab rubbing alcohol?  It would be nice.  You can also use a small brush.  The cleaner for the better.

And if I had a new fan (it's above all by curiosity, or if the dust collection is not the case), it's as simple as just buying a 80mm 3 pin fan and him plugging in?  Or is it more complicated than that, involving the specific computer processor/specs?  You buy a fan that is made especially for the processor.  We will find what you need if necessary.
