Pavilion a1620y FAN problem

I took out the internal fan and I do not know if it must blow into the thing, he is attached to or outside. There are two fans a blow to the back and the other attached to something with Ribbon small fins. I have now the internal fan, blowing the heat far from anything whatsoever. Help, please!

SORRY; the fan has a label on both sides, we say this model fan, and it is now on the outside and inside that is next to the area of the label say how much makes the fan? I thank; s for your help!

Basically, the air should blow outwards so that the air is out of the unit.  The upper part of the fan must be turned outwards, while the underside must be oriented with the heatsink of heat or inside the case.  The image below shows the top of a 120mm fan (the side who face upward or outward).

Hi all.  I think I have a fan problem.  The fan seems to run all the time... at least for the past 3 or raining days, but not fort, with air alternating hot and cold, of the events.  I looked at the events surrounding the outside of the computer and it does not seem to show the accumulation of dust... but even with appropriate glasses, I'm not able to see if there is dust or not... is old or in my case being old causes sight problems!  I also used the diagnostic software to see if any hardware has failed.  The results showed that the computer hardware is correct.

Then you clean the vents (the article says that it is acceptable to use a hair dryer)?  In addition, open the back cover of the laptop to clean the fan inside if it has dust?

Article also says to turn off the computer and unplug the power adapter before spraying compressed air.  Also if you use a blow dryer on the cool setting?  If so, what is the power adapter and how to disconnect it?

Right now I am using the wired option.  I just need to remove the power cord at the back of the router to disconnect.  However, then the computer is wireless... How to turn off the wireless feature... so I can clean the fan/vents?

Thank you.  I really don't miss my XP version!

By blowing air through the vents of your laptop, you are forcing air through the fan. In a laptop, this remove most of the dirt and allow for better air circulation and cooling. This isn't the case with a desktop computer and that's why the video demostates office clean the fan.

I suggest removing the battery is because with it in place, you can accidentally turn on the computer. With the sector/charger adapter unplugged and the battery removed, there is no chance of the computer starts.

Two months ago I have vaccumed the fan, but don't forget to keep the fan. If the fan has got a very high SPEED while I vaccumed. Just the fan. http://www.eBay.com/ITM/170875020953

  • Error 90 b - cooling fan problem

    Hello

A few days ago I started getting message, with a cooling fan problem, error 90 b

But this error was only occurring when I started my laptop after 5-6 hours

I mean when I started this morning, at the first moment it showed this error, and when it will stop automatically (it says, ENTER to continue starting or it will stop in 10 or 15 seconds) and then I start it again, but this time, no error started end

So guyz, I wanted to know whether hardware or software problem or something else

Still my warranty period which goes, so should I goto HP support center?

    I'm on HP Pavilion dv6

It is material but may be repairable before you send it. Bend over a paperclip and stick it through the grid to hold the fan and prevent it from running out of control and blow compressed air in the grid to dislodge any dirt or dust that can be hung up the fan. If it does not the fan may need to be replaced.

  • HP Pavilion g7 - 1117cl: problem with starting up laptop

My laptop simply no longer lights. I have a laptop HP Pavilion g7 - 1117cl... It was to have a cooling fan problem so I disassembled the laptop and he has succeeded, then reassembled and tried to turn on, but nothing... I disassembled again to see if there was anything, I done wrong and maybe found nothing so I put it back together and still nothing was. There is no battery connected, only the charger is plugged. Any suggestions?

    Hi there @DaMan23,

Before you replaced the fan, did you get to try a BIOS reset? If this isn't the case, please put back the old fan in Notepad and try to do a reset of the BIOS with the old fan in.

You receive errors with the old fan? What led to replace you the fan? The reason I ask is because of way General, the laptop must have some sort of indication that it starts. Even if the fan is malfunctioning. The fact that yours won't start not even for 1 second leads me to believe that the issue is not the fan.

I looked the part number that you provided me. The fan you bought does not appear to be a part of certified HP. That said, there may be complications resulting from a scenario like that. I can't guarantee the functionality of the parts of a Web site not HP.

Here's your Guide to Service and Maintenance. You will find the part number for the fan you need 639460-001. This includes the thermal replacement hardware.

You can use the HP part Surfer to order a new fan that will be compatible with your laptop.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-110f: 110f hp pavilion CPU fan?

Noisy fan problem, it's the one attached to the radiator.  I hear it all the time, but sometimes it will be rev.

    It's a 80mm.

I looked online because I thought I could get just a 80mm fan, but after reading a bit more, I'm nervous about doing things that match.

How can I say which fan to get and I need to replace the radiator and the fan, or can I get just a fan for him?

I have the processor AMD phenom II (x 4), fwiw.

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks, this looks like good advice - and I definitely not dirty with the heat sink.

Get some canned air and do what you suggested, I think / hope there's a good chance that that's it, that is.  Nothing 'wrong', sounds a bit worked - snoring is pretty even.

    Last two questions however:

For the kind of fine dust, Backen-we who is on the boards/circuits/chips exposed in places, canned air will take care of that as well, or can I use some on a cotton swab rubbing alcohol?  It would be nice.  You can also use a small brush.  The cleaner for the better.

And if I had a new fan (it's above all by curiosity, or if the dust collection is not the case), it's as simple as just buying a 80mm 3 pin fan and him plugging in?  Or is it more complicated than that, involving the specific computer processor/specs?  You buy a fan that is made especially for the processor.  We will find what you need if necessary.

  • HP Pavilion boot fan stop 1154sa g6-problem

So I'm having a problem with my Pavilion G6 1154sa. The cooling fan seems to be playing it just started, the high efficiency of speed and barely making a noise before cutting again, it does until finally the laptop overheats and shuts down, which gives the error message on loadup, that there is a problem with the fan. So, I tried to take part my laptop and cleaning on the openings of ventilation and inside the turbine, which I did, and reassembling it and still no change. Will it get a new fan? My warranty is exceeded so get it fixed is not a viable option for me, not a cheap option at least.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will need a new cooling fan. HP part number is 639460-001.

  • Pavilion p6217uk Desktop fan problems

Hi just got a hp pavilion desktop p6217uk yesterday and I seem to have a problem with the fan. It becomes very quiet (even off I think) and then progressively louder until she screams so I can't hear the sound from the speakers more. It does at the start of A), B) when I connect and C) about every time I play a game or run an application. He is really strong and the constant turning power is boring. Surely this cant be good? Does anyone know of a fix for this? Help would be appreciated thank you, Ben.

  • HP Pavilion G6 - 2148TX Power Up after replacing the fan problem

    Hello

After replacing the fan, I have a power issue with the laptop. Basically, the laptop will only fuel on the power cable disconnected to the motherboard. It is by mistake only after the fan has been replaced and everything got back together, I noticed that the battery was not charging.

I then opened the machine and reconnected the power cable to the motherboard and nothing - no power.

When connecting to the source of power with the battery in place, adjacent to the power supply lights in WHITE then remains ORANGE and will not. Seeing no other, no fan noise, nothing.

If I remove the battery, the adjacent to the power supply led in WHITE and white rest however not feed either. Same agin, no LED, no fan noise, nothing.

Now, I opened the machine upward and disconnected the power from the motherboard. Put it all back together and that the laptop starts as usual with the battery and it works very well. (Well until the battery runs in any case)

I'm looking for some advice on what the issue could be given my conclusions.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I've now solved the problem. I bought the DC power cable that connects the motherboard to the socket on the laptop. $15 on eBay.

Connecting the supply cable to the Jack of the laptop, the 'white' and is LED stayed on. The battery was not installed at the time. With a deep breath, I pressed the power button expecting anything to happen, but when he lit a big smile appeared on my face.

    The laptop booted up normally.

I then install the battery and the battery indicator showed it to load. Everything is good and a son of 18 very happy. The fault was as expected according to my previous email. I hope this helps someone in the future, shame on HP response was off the mark in light of the original explanation and clarification post. But appreciated nonetheless.

  • My HP Pavilion g6 fan does not work.

I bought a HP Pavilion g6 2230tx a few months back and its cooling fan has stopped working.
It was working fine, but the problem started when I played Euro Truck Simulator 2 full settings. The cooling fan has been throwing a large amount of heat and the fan was moving quickly, but I continued to play. Later that day, when I turned on my laptop, it showed an error which was: "the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly and continued operation can cause damage.
    Fan system (90 b)'.
Then I turns off after 15 seconds.
My laptop is under warranty until 2016-06-16 [YYYY-MM-DD] and the Security category is "guarantee of the factory." {Deleted personal information} & product number is C9L64PA #ACJ. Now my question is that how much HP will take to repair or replace my laptop fan. Will it be free? ;-)
    And I live in India.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Hüffer
I tried what you say except clean it with compressed air and a paperclip. I'm going to send my laptop for repair and now I hope they'll work again.

  • 15-P152NU Pavilion: Pavilion/closed sleep problem

Hello everyone! I write for the first time and I hope I do it in the right section.
So, I recently bought a new 15-P152NU Pavilion and it is great but there is a very annoying problem right from the beginning that drives me crazy I tried almost everything I might have found on the Internet and still found no solution. So my problem is this - when I use the laptop for periods of solitaire (over an hour) it won't go to sleep or off. When I try to do a stop/standby the screen would turn black and the cover and the fan would stay. What I noticed is that if I try to shutdown/sleep when I used it for periods short (10-20 minutes), it would be nice and the fan and the cover would be turned off. But otherwise they would stay and my copmputer essentially dies and I have to press on and hold the power button and then start all over to get to the race. I tried to leave it any longer (I left it overnight) - without success. I don't know either it is based on the temperature of the cpu or a process which starts after a certain period of time, but I was really tired so I hope that I find a solution here. What I've tried so far is:

-Adjust the advanced settings in Power Options.
    -Disable Hibernation
-Update/restore Intel HD Graphics Family and almost all drivers which could be updated / restored.
    -Run the troubleshooter in Windows
    -Disable Boot (Restart) fast
-Looking for a process that interrupts sleep and stopping by using powercfg-queries. All say no
-Looked for a setting in the BIOS that could prevent the stop/standby - found nothing related...

I'm really tired of this so I'll be looking forward to your answers. Hope someone can help me.

    Hello, @Sparkles1,.

And thanks for the reply to my post. Fortunately, I managed to solve the problem. I found a solution after a long reading on the Internet. You, it might be useful for other users, I will share it than what has worked for me.

    1. go in Control Panel -> Device Manager
    2. expand System devices
    3. find Intel (R) Management Engine interface -> right click-> properties-> driver

    4. check the driver version. If 11.x.x.x , you'll probably face my problem.

    5. uninstall the driver. Restart your computer.
    6. download the old driver (version 9.5.15.1730 5 M) by https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=intel+management+engine and install it. Reboot if requested.

That's all. This did the trick for me. I hope it will be useful for other users too.

I'm sorry I didn't post my solution earlier, but I had completely forgotten that I had posted here. Anyway thanks for your reply. I think that the forums of HP is an amazing place.

    Happy holidays!

  • Pavilion p6361fr - fan runs loud

    Hello

My client has a Pavilion p6361fr running under windows 7 Edition family, the office has not been used for a few weeks and has been electrically disconnected. When it has been used again, the cpu fan has worked very quickly with a noise hard CONSTANTLY. (it is very clean: no dust at all)
