Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office.  It doesn't have a wireless adapter.  It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card.  The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded.  There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1.  It may depend on the type of network you want to use.  The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC.  If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do.  Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers.  If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1d28dx drivers for laptop PC Wireless Network Adapter?

I'm helping my friend with his HP Pavilion g6-1d28dx Notebook PC, formatted the HARD drive and reinstalled Windows 7 (64-bit). There is, unfortunately, not the CD that came with the laptop for its pilots, we are now able to have a new CD delivered for us, so I used the site to HP support for its Ethernet controller drivers and used a program called Driver Genius 12 for the rest because for some reason, not all the drivers on the support site of work. The only question I have now is that Driver Genius is not correctly install the wireless network adapter and is not the HP support Site. He travels a lot, wireless connectivity is important on this PC. It can connect via its ethernet port, but the wireless adapter cannot see all the networks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

Here are links to the drivers you need...

I usually google the hardware ID, and then go to the support page and pilot of the model for pilots.

I think knowing that there is a driver for the wireless card is a year newer than the one in the laptop support and driver page, so I posted a place.

When you have helped so many people that I have, all I have to do now is to see the material ID's for most of the devices, and I know what they are.

For example... I didn't need to look for yours.

I think I spend too much time doing so.

  • For pavilion a6030n wireless network adapter

Can anyone recommend a card for my Pavilion a6030n wireless network?  Maybe a good router too?

Based on the specifications of your HP Pavilion a6030n desktop, you can use the traditional PCI cards and more recent PCIe wireless. In addition, you can also use an adapter without wire/USB dongle, if you do not want to open your computer.

I would say get a dual band 802.11 wireless network card b/g/n at least, but you might want a wireless 802.11 adapter ac its better range and throughput. With respect to the router, I suggest to get an ac wireless router.

    802.11 b/g/n PCI/PCIe/adapters

    PCIe/USB 802.11 adapters

    routers wireless 802.11 ac

  • Pavilion dv6-6113tx frequency 5 GHz wireless network has not detected

    Hello

My HP Pavilion dv6-6113tx Entertainment Notebook PC does not detect the signals of frequency of 5 GHz. I tried to verify my update of the software of wireless network and it is also up to date. I asked my colleague to help, they suggested me to attach a double external dongal wireless broadband. Is this the only solution? Or is it possible to replace the network adapter with a double band if this machine does not have this one. Please help me, I'm really annoyed with my computer laptop wifi. He works with 2.4 GHz wifi signal, ut due to problem of interference as indicated by the internet provider that doesn't have the right speed and speed fluctuates a lot.

    Pending a possitive response,

    Thank you

    Hey @arbab92 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you're looking for more information about the 5 GHz wireless connectivity computer laptop dv6.

The adapter supplied with your laptop is not a dual band card and does not support the frequency of 5 GHz.

Generally (RFI) Wireless interference can be solved by changing the channel on your router wireless. The default value for most router manufacturers is channel 6, which runs on 2,437 GHz. You can change the channel on your router to channel 1 wireless (2.412 GHz) or 11 (2,462 GHz) away from the bloated channel 6 if there are several wireless networks and devices in your area.

If changing the channel is not an option, or does not resolve the problem, you can buy a wireless network for your laptop adapter. The only 5 GHz compatible card that is compatible with your laptop is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230. The part number for this is 631956-001. You should be able to order it on the HP part Surfer Web site or third party like Amazon or eBay resellers.

You can see how to install this map on page 67 of the HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide.

I hope this is the information you're looking for.

  • can I put a pci wireless network adapter in my hp pavilion ze4210?

had a used laptop and I am trying to make it as good as possible. through usb wireless internet adapter. If possible, I would like to put a wireless card inside, so I don't have the USB that comes out of the back. any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello:

    You may be able to.

Here is the link to the service manual.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/bph08402.PDF

Remove the battery and the a/c power before you open the PC.

Please refer to Chapter 2, page 2-6 for the location of the wireless card.

If there are two antenna cables in the compartment, you'll be able to add a wireless card, but it may be that in the list of the parts on page 4-11 (map, mini-PCI-802. 11b worldwide, part # 319468-002).

Wireless B (11 Mbit/s) only, and if you have a newer router for the past two years or so there is a good chance that it does connect, because drivers will be too old.

This is the cheapest I could find.  See if you can find one cheaper. Find the number of piece only.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/319468-002-HP-Compaq-CPQ-Mini-PCI-card-802-11b-WW-W-/280810262340?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4161988f44

Installation of any other card WLAN but the one above, will result in the laptop is not cranking up what the card does not support is removed.

If there is no antennas in the compartment, I wouldn't waste my time. You will need to disassemble the entire notebook including the screen to run the antennae through the phone.

  • Run the program with XP back on wireless network

Have run a Dos program on a Win 98 machine for many years.  Used to run it on my office network by using an XP machine.  Is it possible to run it on an XP laptop machine by using a wireless network?

    Hi Bob Snyder.

You can run DOS programs on your laptop XP in a similar way, run on the Windows XP desktop mode. Let us know if you have problems in the BACK running program on your laptop.

  • Wireless network adapter does not work anymore and will not be repeated work without stopping the computer and then back on.

Sometimes I leave my computer on at night.  Sometimes I notice that when I get back to him the next day that he has limited connection to the network I use.  When I try to disconnect it from the network, then reconnect, it says that it cannot connect.  Then, when I try to restart my computer it is sitting at a screen saying "stop down". "."  My wireless network software also is unaccessable in which she does not open and if I close the Task Manager and reopen it flashes for a second then closes.

However when I turn it on manually and then turn it on again, which apparently is not good for the computer, I am once again able to connect to the network with full access.

Can someone please tell me why this keeps happening and how to fix it?

  • Pavilion dv7 WC159EA #ABU: replacement of the network adapter on HP Pavilion dv7-3111ea

Can you tell me what is the best card available and compatible network for my laptop? I'm looking to upgrade, for better performance and speed overall, which is currently averaging around 35Mbps on speedtest on a ~ 100 Mbps Broadband fiber optic (Virgin UK).

    Here's what he said:

Wireless options integrated wireless LAN (WLAN) using the wireless module:
    Module of Half-Mini Card WLAN 802.11a/b/g ■ Intel 5100
    Module ■ 4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN
    Module ■ Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN

If you can find a half-height intel 5300 for HP I would try that but also look at the 4322 broadcome which would indicate that one is dual band of its identifier. But my money first of all find a low-profile 5300 indicating he works for hp then if it does not move from Broadcom. But that is you can risk losing money if the 5300 does not work. That's what I'd do, but does not mean that you should go this route.
