  My father recently bought a HP Pavilion Slimline S5610F desktop, refurbished and wants that I format and install Windows XP. I was wondering if this is possible? In the past, I have sought answers from this forum and have always made to answers and help I've gotten. I know that it is already harder to find drivers with my Compaq a few years ago, so I can only imagine that XP drivers are still harder to find now.

  Sorry, none of these drivers were working. I took a bet on them being identical to that of a PC HP Pro 3125 which had the same chipset.

  Try the driver for chipset southbridge AMD from AMD (first listed file).

  Had a customer who wants to get off at Win 7/64 on a HP Pavilion 15 - p151nr.  Finds the network, video and audio drivers.  Still need chipset (HP 227th mother?), SM Bus, USB and card reader drivers.  HP supports only 8 and 8.1 on this model.

  Yes BUT the formats (PAL, NTSC...) is not our main problem, the problem is the areas of DVDs (or regions). Almost all DVD players on computers will allow 5 changes of area , it crashes with the fifth. My suggetsion, player to buy a DVD for $70 and it will play everything, any area/region locked.   No, the drivers for the AMD based HP g7-computer 2275dx are not compatible with your intelligence installed HP g7-22155dx. Please see below for the instructions on installing Windows 7 and compatible drivers.

  HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

  Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

  Go to Device Manager, right click on the unknown device,

  Choose update driver, not to communicate.

  Choose the install from a list or a specific location, not search, have-disk,
