  • Pavillion DV6 1330 CE: Pavilion DV6 1330 ec CPU upgrade

    Hello.

I want to upgrade the CPU in my EC of Pavillion DV6 1330. Is it possible to change my Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 with Intel Core 2 Duo T9900, Intel Core 2 Extreme X 9100 or perhaps Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 (quad core)? What I need to change the cooling system or the stock is enough?

    My current setup:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2, 53GHz

    RAM: 2x2gb DDR3

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4650 1 GB

HARD drive: Samsung EVO 850 SSD

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.80 GHz with 6 MB of cache L2 and FSB 1066 MHz

Those are your upgrade and options of the foregoing would be a major improvement. The T9800 and T9900 in particular are extremely strong. Equal to 2d plus gen processors Core i5 in my opinion. The market knows that, however, and these processors tend to be difficult to find and expensive. The T9600 is only slightly less powerful and more widely available and cheaper. The "X" model processors are a no-go.

    Hi @akinzaxy,

Thanks for the information. When I checked the page software and drivers for your laptop, I noticed there are no drivers available for Windows 10. This means that HP has not tested Windows 10 on your laptop model. HP does not guarantee that the Windows updates will have all the drivers. This does not mean that it will not only work the result is unknown. If your system meets all the requirements of system here is a link to purchase the upgrade. Free Windows 10 update (from microsoft.com). You have an option for the first 30 days to restore your previous operating system.  You can put 10 Windows on a USB key, so you should have a copy to reinstall Windows 10 If you wish. Windows USB/DVD Download Tool (from microsoft.com). Hello DM19,.

Thank you for your reply and I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I understand that you did your installation on the Windows disc.  You now have all the drivers except the one that has a code 10 on it.

Did you do all your updates to Windows, if only he can solve.

Device Manager have you tried to just update the driver?

Have you tried running MS difficulty ?

Did you download and install the driver for your system and improvements to the operating system and software page QFE.

If this has not resolved the driver problem, the page of software and the driver has a Manager option of recovery for you to download.

I download it and follow the prompts.

Once you complete this step, I would install all drivers of origin since the Recovery Manager

Using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

Now run the Wizard help HP to get the updates from HP.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion 1C62US g6: H ow can I enable fast Web

Fast Web is installed on my HP Pavilion g6 \Windows 7-64, but can't open it?  (version 3.1.0.9760)

    RHA - Rha

    Apologies for jumping!

According to the specificationsof your system, it has this feature.

What follows is based on the research - I do not have this feature on my notebooks and cannot be fully verified information.

    Ideas

    ==================================

    Option 1 - activate QuickWeb

The feature can be disabled.  You can activate it, you must do this when the system is turned off or right during startup.  See the following topics:

HP laptops - set up and use the Applications HP QuickWeb

    Excerpt:

    From QuickWeb 3.0 or higher

    • To start HP QuickWeb 3.0 or higher, press the QuickWeb or the QuickWeb button on some models (f5) key when the computer is off or is starting.
    • The QuickWeb button is a second button located near the power button.
    • You can't enable or disable QuickWeb 3.0 or higher in the BIOS or in the Windows environment, as in previous versions.

    ==================================

    Option 2 - reinstall QuickWeb

Perhaps, your system should have the reinstalled program.

If your recovery manager is intact, you can reinstall the original version that came with the operating system.

This document explains how reinstalling software and hardware drivers that were originally installed on the computer at the factory:

Using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

    OR

I did find the program in your Support of the system pages.

I have a version I think that you can use.

    • Close running of programs, the browsers and games

    Next:

    • Create a Restore Point:

Restore Point XP  OR create a restore - Win7 Point OR create a restore point Win8

    QuickWeb version V3.1.2.10259

    QuickWeb Sp55746 V 3.1.2.10259

  • How toggle stop scroll on a g7 Pavilion?

The laptop keyboard has no scroll button. How do I imitate? Perhaps the key fn combined with something?

(Note that I question only the keyboard, has nothing to do with the mouse. Scroll Lock is used with applications such as Microsoft Excel to control if the arrows cause the displacement of the selection or the screen to scroll).

Yes, I thought it was strange, the HP guy asked the detail (because there are so many popular operating systems that run on a g7 Pavilion, he could not possibly list of solutions for each of them) and disappeared.

I agree that the on-screen keyboard is not practical if you want to change scroll lock state often.  If you can live without another key on the keyboard (perhaps the "QuickWeb key" which is where F5 is supposed to be), you can modify the Windows registry to map to scroll.  A pretty convenient way to do it is with a program called SharpKeys to http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/.  Click Add, click the key Type in the left column, press the key you want to use, click OK, select special: Scroll Lock in the right column, click OK, click on write to the registry, and it should work after your next reboot.  (I have not tried with Scroll Lock, but it should work).  Or AutoHotKey.

  • HP Quickweb is necessary?

I have a HP Pavilion dmz1 which runs on Windows 7.  It is a couple of years now, but still works great in all.

Recently, I stop the laptop and put it aside for two weeks.  When I booted the machine today, I was surprised to see an outdoor screen.  In general, I get a login Windows - no problem screen.  Today instead, I got a page for HP Quickweb, which I don't remember having seen it before.  He asked me for a password, and it rejected my multiple hypotheses;  Despite the suspicion that he has given me I never got.  I must have seen on-screen in the past to have chosen a password but I honestly do not remember doing so.

Anyway, I did some quick research online help (using another computer) and has ended up pushing a series of buttons in panic to circumvent the Quickweb and get on this Windows signon screen.  I've been successful, connected and quickly went to Control Panel / programs - and uninstalled the HP Quickweb.  It seemed safe to do so since the installation date was after the date that I bought the computer.  I must have installed it at some point, but as I said, I do not know now.

Anyway, now I'm here to ask the question - do I really need that Quickweb for something important?  Any tips or suggestions?  Thank you.  Cathy

Is not necessary, it is a feature added on this laptop.

Basically, it's a second OS Linux (Splashtop) which can quickly start up (20 seconds or less), but was very limited on what he could do.

  • HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea - SSD SATA III HARD disk? & HARD drive space gone?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea. It works fairly well, but I think I have an SSD would really speed up the loading of programs and start etc. I'm not so sure that the upgrade. I read on a thread if I had Port SATA 1 6 Gbps Supported or SATA Port 0 6 Gbps then my cell phone was good for SATA III. Is this the case? Joined a program hwinfo32 image, can you check if my phone would support SATA III?

The other issue is my HD. My laptop says I have 750GB HD coming to about 700 GB after formatting. But my laptop seems to have only a total of 350 GB with all sectors added together. Where is the space?

    Hello

Yes, your laptop has 2 ports SATA 6 GB/s (SATA III) most likely the hard drive and an optical drive are connected on it. There are also 2 SATA 3Gbps ports but not in use, I guess.

The other issue is that there are 4 partitions but the partition 0 is strange and shouldn't be there. There should be a small boot for Windows partition (for BitLocker etc.), drive C: with Windows, D: drive with a partition recovery and partition Tools HP QuickWeb and some diagnostic utilities. It seems that the recovery partition is missing, the C: drive has been decreased and then created a small partition at the beginning of the hard disk. Take a look at disk management in administrative tools in the control panel this partitioning is on the hard drive.

  • iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone, which has the latest operating system running

iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone running. I downloaded the latest OS for the phone and the latest version of iTunes on my PC and have tried all USB ports several times. I also reinstalled drivers USB to the PC.  The phone is recognized on the computer of a friend under Win 7. All shows when I plug it on mine is a page showing the 'Apple iPhone' folder display of storage internal (2.18 GB free of 14.7 GB). Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.

I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.

Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.

  • HP Pavilion dv7: unable to connect to the Internet

I can't access the Internet via ethernet or wireless. It seemed to happen after an update of Windows 10.

Other computer and android phone can access the wireless. When I click on the wireless icon, I see different networks, including mine. However, it is said, "No Internet, secure." I ran a diagnosis, saying that the wireless network adapter and the wired network adapter does not work. I tried to update the drivers, but to no avail.
