Pavilion g6-1050-st: no support for my product?

Hello.

I tried to configure my laptop so I can use the switchable graphics feature since I was 2 GPU. My Catalyst Control Center UI does not show this feature. I've tried 5 or 6 different guides to solve this problem, but no success. I came to the conclusion that I need to upgrade my GPU of HP website drivers, that I can't find.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-G6-1000-Notebook-PC-series/5046257/model...

No GPU driver? Why is this and where to find them?

Next part of my question, I tried upgrading the BIOS with update the link, don't still no dynamic-fixed choice given. I tried to download the older AMD drivers, still no switchable graphics in CCC. What should I do to see this feature?

Thank you.

Edit: My (g6 1050st) product is not in this list, given in sticky thread:

http://support.HP.com/tr-TR/document/c02948560

So I did not date this driver BIOS, I updated one given in my product page. But I have used graphics switchable back in Windows 7. So what can be my problem?

Hi there @Onat

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand you are trying to get switchable graphics with your current configuration. I'm happy to help you with this.

Check the product page, it seems that Windows 8.1 is not among the operating systems supported for this laptop. There are a few pilots of Windows 8, but as you say it's not for graphics cards. As for the BIOS, when it comes to laptops and laptop computers, it is common to lock certain options available on desktop computers, because they can cause serious problems with heat and performance on a laptop. Dynamic mode is one of the people often locked and switchable graphics, fixed - function is controlled by the system, as is the video memory available.

The lack of a custom driver, your best option may be to go back to Windows 7, use the one for her. What follows is the driver which includes two graphics processors for Windows 7.

AMD HD graphics driver

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know.

  • Where is the support for Sonicwall products?

I had a post on a topic that is important here since Friday 21. There is no entry at all. This seems to be a forum "network security" generic, non-specific to sonicwall, but I see nowhere elsewhere on the Dell site for questions on sonicwall products. The old forum of sonicwall is read-only.

-What is it? It is quite appalling. If support for sonicwall products is this low I would hesitate before buying again the sonicwall.

    Uniquehandle,

This isn't a technical support forum, a public forum that users and come to ask questions and get assistance with their products.

Yes, just a forum for network security, they are spotted but especially all the posts here are the Dell SonicWALL UTM product and other related products.

Yes, there is a lot of activity here of people like me, who work in technical support for Dell SonicWALL. But this isn't a replacement for Technical Support requests.

No, we are not required to answer questions on this forum, but we do so in the interest of the community and to increase the amount of knowledge that our users have. This helps to learn more about the product and have the ability to help other people on this forum when they display asking questions. There is also no SLA on response to any post on this forum.

Yes, the SonicWALL forum was read-only for a while that we are Dell SonicWALL and our community is now the responsibility of the Dell family.

Our support for our products is very strong and only get better every day. Yes, our support is provided with a contract, but this is to make sure that we, Dell SonicWALL, can pay the technicians.

From what you've posted so that you do not have a support contract with us very probably you don't have a case with Technical Support. If this isn't the case, you do not have a case with technical support and troubleshooting went beyond your support contract send me a DM and I will look into the issue.

WARNING: It is, in any case form or shape, a guarantee that I have the poster of this response, or any other employee of SonicWALL Dell will be troubleshoot or solve your problem via this medium. It's just to discuss the issue with the opportunity to provide a form of help and guidance with your question.

  • no support for dv6768se

No update for the dv6000 BIOS

Careful, HP has turned to deception. I bought thousands of dollars worth of HP products. I recommend the purchase of HP in my official duties as a Director of engineering. However, I was disappointed by the performance and support in all cases. I have two machines where I couldn't write media to recover. The most recent is with my Pavilion dv6000 laptop. It has the problem of restarting which may be related to problems of overheating GPU NVidia. This is known issue and HP must have decided to let go without worrying about the goodwill of its customers.

The details for the latest incident are:

Seeking support, I called a number found on the site of HP. I was charged for the support of a partner HP from a foreign land only to make things worse.

They say that when I called HP they Mobile is unsupported and is obsolete. So, why is me she charged?

My flag will not re-start. The symptoms started he did a software update from Microsoft. The update restarted my system and suspension system. After a stop forced (pressing the power button for 5 seconds), I had a soft recovery screen. I did a restore and it restarted. It hung again. This time, the indicated recovery screen I couldn't move forward and to contact support.

I tried to get it back to the factory setting. This has seemed to work until I did the updates and tried to restart the machine. It hung again. I made the diagnosis of HW, but diagnostic tests indicated no problems. Analysis of disk of Vista also no problem.

Before I looked for support I found that instead of restart, if I made a stop, I could limp thought enough of the upgrade to Windows 7. However, the question remained, and she seemed to be associated with HW. That's when I called HP support.

First of all, I told them (ITechLine) was associated with HW and I didn't not need remotely diagnose my machine. They insisted so I spent a day watching a tech do the antivirus scans and scan disk. Later, they said they had solved the problem, but the technology that has been doing Diagnostics admitted that the original question seems HW and remains.

How I got the number of ITechLine from the HP website. May have been my mistake, and a better number could be found on the HP website. The loss of time can be, I think, a concealment deliberate by HP.

Later, I called enough people at HP (even in a foreign country) to find the HP had decided to abandon the support for my laptop and I couldn't support or portions of their share for this machine. The person said that the technology was obsolete. It is also darkening; Since a SATA drive for this my machine could be found for less than $50 and would have more than twice the capacity. In fact, I could buy a new memory 2 GB SODIMM, a new hard drive and a new battery for less than $90. Phone support charged $149.

I have a few web searches to find the GPU NVidia overheating problem was probably the cause. Then, I disassembled the laptop to clean the cooling fan. The reboot problem was considerably reduced. I can restart 5 out of 6 times, which leads me to believe that it is the GPU overheating problem.

However, now I can't use the optical drive to start the Windows 7 support. It does not show in my computer. Also, I can't write recovery media using the internal optical drive. I knew it is the bios, because one of the stages that I found on the web had to reset the cmos to the original. I see that is not the most recent. By going to the HP site for the update of the bios, I find that they no longer have the update and my machine does not get detected by their auto detect process. Forgot it that they did the laptop.

So, I have a laptop of brilliant almost new look that will not work and is unsupported. It is obsolete, even if the State of the industry has not really progressed for laptops. It is Wi - Fi enabled with a large screen and could run all the latest SW until 5 days ago. It is too light to be a doorstop good, so it is useless. All I can get from HP is denial, disappointment and a dress (with a foreign accent).

Being an EE, I thought that HP a tester has been great and that HP would be able and honorable. It's the end of an era.

Someone know where I can get the free bios update? It's not worth spending a lot of money after bad to pay for a service update of the bios.

It is a forum for users of peer-to-peer support for HP products. HP maintains no official presence in this forum. It is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Response of an employee of HP represents his own opinion and not that of HP.

    Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook computer dv6768se. Based on the information contained in the specification, this model is about 5 to 6 years. Years of the computer, this laptop is very certainly obsolete. You can find the update of BIOS, drivers and software for your computer on the HP support site at HP Pavilion dv6768se drivers and downloads. The most recent BIOS listed is;

    Description;
This package provides an update the system BIOS. The update is installed on models of laptops using a supported Microsoft Windows Operating System. A reboot is required to complete the installation.

    Communicate the details;
    Exit the: 2011-03-30
    File name: sp52477.exe [1/1, 3.09 M]
    Version: F.34
    Compatibility: (MUST BE INSTALLED UNDER)
    Microsoft Windows Vista
    Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

    Fix/enhancement;
-Fixes a problem where the system stops unexpectedly in response and a warning window 0 x 124 appears when the laptop was turned off abnormally, then restarted.

  • Support for the latest version of the 880MXP software

    Hi all

As you know 880 MXP is now EOS, but we can update to F9.3.1 now.

I checked the release notes and page Announces EOS but there is no description on the latest version of the software supported for EOS products.

Does anyone know what the latest version supported for 880 MXP?

    Best regards

    Kotaro Hashimoto

That's right, it has never been a version of software separated for one of them; MXP 550/770/880/990/1000/1500/1700/3000/6000/edge, they all take the same software. Only MXP I can think of that is running a different version of software is the 150.

  • support for VMware workstation 7

I looked on the website and to the best of my understanding VmWare Workstation 7 EOL.

    http://www.VMware.com/files/PDF/support/product-lifecycle-matrix.PDF

Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

  • Support for MSSQL 2005 SP3 with Hyperion 9.2.0.3

    Hello

We have a facility of Hyperion IT wants to update SQL Server (MSSQL 2005) to SP3.

    We use
    Essbase 9.2.0
    SSP 9.2.0.3
    Planning 9.2.0.3
    9.2.0.3 financial reports
    Workspace 9.2.0.3

Is there a known issue with this kind of update?
Should I stop services during the update?
Where can I find a matrix of support for Hyperion products?

    thx for your help
    Kevin Kraft

You will find a link to the matrix (s) of support below:
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/products/bi/Hyperion-supported-platforms.html

You should stop all Hyperion services (Shared Services, planning, EE, FR, workspace) who have access to this repository.

You must perform this update in a non-production environment and have your COMPUTER group to ensure that they can return to the patch or restore the server before patch if it breaks things - be prepared to make a light weight regression test. Having said that the patch is not likely to cause problems - report - the return after you have applied.

    Good luck

My old computer has Photoshop CS3 (and Illustrator CS3) installed.  The old computer is dead. • Get "Licensing for this product has stopped working" error on my new Mac with old Adobe software

Hi people, recently I bought a new machine and can not work how to get Illustrator cs3 or photoshop cs5 working on it...

Photoshop says "license for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your COMPUTER administrator or Adobe customer support for help", which is strange, as they say some different before I tried to ask adobe support about this...

    Illustrator, said the same thing.

customer support said that I have to ask here because they cannot provide support for these products.

First, you try to use a very old product on the latest operating system. So, who can create problems.

CS3 has never been tested with Mac 10.9. Thus, it may or may not work. You can always give it a try.

CS5 should work well on Mac 10.9.

Speaking of the license error, now seems that you have backed up your data using Time Machine from your old Mac and who have restored this new Mac. If so, which damaged the licenses of Adobe products.

This should help. Error "Licensing has stopped working". Mac OS

Let me know how it goes.
