Pavilion g6 - 1315sr: g6 - 1315sr frequency memory Pavilion

Want to know how often taken memory supported in case to install 8 GB of memory in the laptop.

Hello

There are several ways to check for example using Crucial scan which will tell exactly what you need and where to buy, or you can also use the information to buy elsewhere:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/systemscanner

CPU - Z or use the first manual from the following link:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-G6-notebook-PC-series/5186808/model/5274228/manuals

You can bookmark the link above for future reference.

Kind regards.

We are looking to add some memory to a 'Computer format microtour HP 500 b' system, I replaced it s current 2 GB stick with a 4 GB one (Kingston brand, @1333 MHz) but it boot wouln´t upward.

In this forum I just found this link

    http://h18004.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13724_na/13724_na.html#memory

This means that, while he supports up to 4 GB, it only does in a 2 + 2 mode and not a single module 4 GB?

I guess this is the model the baord doesn´t have any model printed that I could find.

I'm going by what I could find based on a report of CPU - ID.

With a standard business dekstop, you're a little linimted in the improvement of memory. You are right. 2 x 2 GB modules will work, but a 4 GB is very likely to start.

As seen on this webpage to Crucial2 x 2 GB is recommended upgrade.

  • Edge 15 Intel - added memory problem

    Hello

    Mine is edge 15 i3 - 330 M, 2 GB, ATI HD5145, Win7 HP 64 (0301 - 48G). All drivers and BIOS are updated.

Originally, it carries 2 GB RAM PC3 - 8500 (Hynix) on board. I bought another key Hynix 2 GB. It is absolutely identical to the original but PC3-10600.

After I plug in the memory in the free location, system starts up, but the screen 800 x 600 pix, with "ATI drivers not found message, etc.", so it seems like there is no ATI card, and it works in emergency mode. In the video properties, ATI drivers is replaced by "VgaSafe", and the monitor is "standard".

Each module of memory works well separately, but I have a problem using two modules together. Is this some sort of IRQ problems, memory sharing with graphics card problem, or it can be caused by the disparity of frequency memory or...? Help, please.

Engineering mentioned this difficulty because it's BIOS 1.23/2.15 and above

  • Tecra A8-104 (PTA83E) - overheating

    Hello everyone!

I have a problem with the laptop of my father. If I try to use it to its maximum performance, that it overheats and acceleration down the processor. I would use this laptop as a folding (folding@home) station. However this will make hot processor. If I test the notehbook with Intel Thermal Analysis Tool (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/392/mirrors.php), and less then 5 minutes he spent 65 95-100 ° C (normal temperature) and the handle to the bottom of its cores. Folding @ home spirits so the processor about the same as Intel Thermal Analysis Tool.

My question: I have a defective laptop or incorrect design this type of laptop is not working 100% for more than 2 minutes, the processing power?

When you reach the temperature 95 C the fan will start working more hard, but despite this it is not enough to lower its temperature is lower than the control temperature.

    Hello

Dust and debris could be the main reason why the laptop overheats.

Usually, the cleaning of the dust is not part of the service guarantee but I strongly recommend to contact the technicians of laptop for a cleaning of the dust.
Usually, the dust can be removed easily using the jet of compressed air. These aerosols can be purchased from most computer resellers.
They offer for most cleaning sets.

But once again; If you have any experience with these procedures and you warranty is still valid, then a technician should clean your fans to avoid a cancellation of the guarantee.

    Hello

The CPU temperature depends on the use of the laptop and so it s not easy to say what would be the value of the ideal temperature.

According to this site of specification Intel CPU T5500 CPU temperature could affect up to 100 ° C
    http://processorfinder.Intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9SQ

But of course the internal CPU for laptop is much lower.
Running common applications temperature could increase to 50-60 ° C

  • Question of RAM & SSD compatibility on old office

I have an old Dimension 3100 / E310 system, Pentium 4 DT (Prescott 2.8 GHz).  When I look in the BIOS, he mentions that the memory is DDR2 533 Mhz.   When I pulled out one of the sticks of memory, I found that it is "Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) memory Fund model KVR667D2/1 gr.   This system is capable of managing more quickly than the DDR2 533 Mhz, comparable to what I got?

I would like to hear from people who have tried a SATA ii SSD at this level.  Do you get the performance of SATA ii SSD disk or it revert to SATA I that this system is capable of speeds?

    Thanks for your reply.

Found on the net answers to my two questions.  Higher frequency memory will operate only at the motherboard clock frequency - in this case to 533 Mhz.  Thus, no use to buy a frequency more high, unless they are found to be less expensive (for some reason any).   Others reported on the net about the use of SSDS on this computer, but I doubt if I get SATA ii on this motherboard.  Even a low-end SSD would be great improvement in performance.  It is perhaps impossible to find a SATA I ssd in the market today and it is likely that the ssd SATA II improved on the technology of base material and controller and will be retro-compatible with this motherboard.

  • Problem of memory HP Pavilion dv6-3208TX

I would like to get advice for my laptop. A few days before my phone starts to become slow and it becomes too irritable to exploit. So, I did the Test of memory that failed with an ID of Menory failure in memory Slot 2. Therefore, I made a few trouble shooting mannual and removed 1 GB of RAM which has failed the Test of memory. Now my laptop runs on 2 GB of RAM only. However, it is slow, so I need to upgrade.

But the problem is with the frequency as the old RAM installed runs 1067 Mhz(2GB) and that I walked on 1333 Mhz(4GB). So I would like to know what is it possible to simultaneously install the 1333 Mhz RAM with 1067 Mhz RAM.

This is going to affect the speed or I will get a good speed?

The name of RAM - Kingston - KTH - X3B / 4G (which is what I want to install instead of 1 GB)

    Waiting for response.

    Now, don't confuse everything.

The performance of your laptop will be positively increase if you switch from 2 GB to 6 GB or even 4 GB of RAM.

According to the manual, 1333 MHz RAM should also work on your laptop, but it will work with a frequency of 1066 MHz RAM according to the manual.

If the RAM you buy would work in your laptop - you have to really load and see, unless you go for the exact HP pay number in the manual, which you whatever it is, have not the possibility to buy them also that the part is not made now it seems that - in the store part.

But you can try the Kingston RAM you mentioned, I think it'll work.

  • start using SD in Pavilion dv2000 memory card

    Hello

I wanted to boot from SD memory card in my HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop. What should be the BIOS for this setting.

    Thank you!

    Shivchal

I don't think that you can start from your reador of card for laptop

but you can start from your SD card using a USB card reader

But u should create this card as bootable,

There are many free application on the internet, just google,

and make your bootable SD card, then use it.

I used "USB_MultiBoot_10" and I create a portable bootable computer cos XP instalation disk of my father, dvd does not work.

I do not have the link at the moment. but I got frm google search.

    Have FUN BRO,

  • How to get to my memory slots - HP Pavilion m7330n

I bought 2 GB of additional memory for my HP Pavilion m7330n and when I opened the computer, it doesn't seem to be an easy way to access additional memory locations.  They are "buried" in the media drive Bay empty.  Any suggestions on how to get to these slots?

There is a screw on the front to hold the device media Bay, remove and you can drag the unit media Bay off - you must first remove the cover first and foremost.
