  Yes, you can, but you must make sure that you install a version of Windows XP OEM. either the product key on the label will not work

  I have a laptop with winXP Pro 2nd hand, a computer ex-business with a label license still valid but no software disk. The laptop was working but had many software related issues. I thought that perhaps I was able to reinstall using a winXP Pro disc that I got for my other PC, but it will not accept the license number of the label mobile so I guess that there may be a problem with the version? Have I not all hope to be able to reuse the license?

  I think the cheapest solution would be if you buy a second hand motherboard. You should take a look on eBay. Here you can often get second hand spare parts. An alternative, you can also buy a second laptop Qosmio F30 which is defective (e.g. display). You can use the motherboard of your laptop.

  But don t forget that mainboard Exchange isn't easy and you need to remove a large number of screws. It s not as easy as on the desktop.
