Hi @Brandon6,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked into your problem on your HP Pavilion computer and problems with restarting and looping. Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Here is a link with Microsoft on how to check the file system.

Here is a link to put the laptop in Safe Mode. Then you can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

You must return your Notebook back to the previous operating system functions. Round trip is a feature that will restore your computer to the old operating system that was installed before you upgraded to Windows 10. Pressing F11 at startup of Windows should give you a few options on the Advanced tab.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Please let me know how it goes.

By clicking on the Thumbs Up below, you can say thank you! .

Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion dv2000t keeps restarting...?

My friend has a laptop HP Pavilion dv2000 and it was incredibly slow. Someone had installed a variety of free antivirus and firewall for them programs, but it seemed that there was still a virus somewhere and nothing turn scans. The laptop is used primarily for access to the internet and has not been inflated with the software. We decided that a new facility would be the best bet. I used my external hard drive to back up all the files that they wanted to keep and we used the recovery DVD (we had to order one of hp because the burned game could not be located) to reinstall Vista. Initially, he started not as I expected to (na not ask name of the administrator or the zone or something like that, but I tell myself it's because it's a "valuation" and not a new installation) and the task bar and start menu was set to classic mode (not a huge problem (, but I thought the default was aero). Now the operating system takes about 5 minutes before it restarts. We tried to disable automatic reboot in case of system error, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I have a feeling that the virus survived the process of "valorisation" but I'm not sure. Safe mode seems to be stable. Any suggestions?

Has nother thing interesting I discovered everything in tinkering with him last night is that the recovery process while retaining a (c) for only 24 GB, the total capacity of the HD is 160 GB. The optical drive is labeled (d) and there is no HP_Recovery partition, which I thought to be a factory default. On another laptop HP (dv6000) there are two partitions (C :) and (d), (d) being the HP_Recovery partition and the optical drive marked (e). The system continues to restart without any error message. Finally does anyone know if recovery disks (disk: this is a single dvd) are able to completely reinstall the operating system? For example if I used a live CD to completely erase the hard drive (overwrite with zeros or) can I still restore Vista with the recovery disk? Or part of the operating system should remain intact because it is just "valorisation"? Thank you,

Yes we finally thought to it. It keeps restarting as part of the new installation procedure. I don't know why he has to do, but for some reason any HP needs to restart the system several times in order to get all the speed. Just start it upward and let it keep restarting, we had to let it run all night, so it may take a few hours. Just let it go, and it should work after that. Let me know if it works!

  • My hp laptop keeps restarting

Hi my hp pavilion dv6000 keeps freezing I gave the phone to Pc world and they could not fix it! I had this problem for about 3 years now and I had also heard that hp wanted all the dv6000 back but my warranty was expired (this is what they said when I called them up) and now I hope that someone out there can help me to fix this thanks to laptop for playback

If you had it in a shop and they couldn't fix it. I'll assume that at least, they tested the memory and hard drive.  The most common problem with the DV series is under the video chip solder balls.  There are many examples on youtube of people reinvest their video chip:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=S2jPq8Qf6g0&feature=player_embedded#t=0s

Did you run all the tests on your memory, hard drive?  Have you tried to return to the factory-installed? Try running the laptop with the battery removed and see if the problem goes away.

  • my laptop keeps restarting

each time, reboot to keep my lobtop

    Hi Jennifer Smith,.

    1. when exactly your laptop restarts?

    2. do you get an error message?

    3. you remember changes before this problem?

    4. what version of Windows you are running on the computer?

Method 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if it's a difference-may be worth a try

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    Note:
Fixit would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of data loss from that particular area.

Method 2:  Select the boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link

Method 3: check the logs in Event Viewer for more information on this problem

    Open event viewer

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

Tell me what are the steps to solve this problem

    Hi Amrbialy,
When your computer is turned on, push and hold down F8, this will bring an option before it starts on your desktop. Choose "last known good configuration".
If this has no effect. Then do the same thing, except choose Safe Mode. When it boots to desktop click Start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore.

Then it will give you an option to choose a date to return. Choose a date before you install updates, and then click OK. Restart your computer.

    It will be useful.

  • Satellite A305 keeps restarting

    I have a Satellite A305-s6857.
    Windows xp 64 bit vista.

This is what is happening, please bare with me it gets really confusing. Laughing out loud

My laptop keeps restarting on its own.
at first I thought it was overheating - so I downloaded SPECCY and clean the radiator using carbon Spray. CPU temperature average around 60 degrees.

so after ANOTHER REFORMAT. the computer worked fine, installed all the drivers using the recovery CD. (computer remained without restarting)
everything worked well. After you have installed all the drivers, I restarted the computer and it came

"your account has been disabled. Please contact your system administrater' so I went safe mode created an administrator account.
Another thing to install TOSHIBA came after rrestarting the computer where I would choose an account name and password.
so after that I got through the process, he went on the desktop.

After that, he did it again. Computer keeps restarting, sometimes only takes a few seconds, sumtimes lasts 5 minutes.

RELATED ISSUE: Tuner FM from Toshiba keeps repeatedly installation and restart the computer.
then I went to msconfig and disabled everything on start up.

I don't know much about laptops, but in MY OPINION.

It is a software problem, VISTA/driver problem, if its vista I think it has something to do with the admin default thing, cus when I am connected to this account, that it has not been restarted.
but when this thing "account disabled" came and I had to use a new user, he did it again.

AND ALSO: When in safe MODE, the computer does not restart.

someone please get back to me.

    Thank you

    Hi Roar4life88

    1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    Method 1:

You can perform a scan SFC and check. To Perform a Scan SFC -

    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:
Also I suggest you to check if you are facing the same question in the user account new or different administrator account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

    Create a new user account-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

If you are not faced with the same question in a new user account, you can view the link below and use the steps provided to fix a corrupted - user profile

  • computer laptop VAIO keeps restarting

I bought my computer laptop sony vaio (model SVF15318SNB windows 8TM) April 2014 but on the month of August I have encounter a problem even now the laptop itself keep restart displaying the vaio icon but after restart 5 times or less he launched little windows. Fortunately, windows doesn't crash at all, but after 10 or 30 min it stop and restart itself. So, I look at sony nursery they check the Ram system, control the fan unfortunately, they do not find the specific target, they said that maybe it's the operating system that is causing the problem. Thus, they recover the windows. After recovery, the laptop works fine without problem. But after a few days the problem occur.so I take a recovery action after that and that during the system recovery itself close and restart this worst case is that the windows driver is impossible lock to update the system everything is lock

I also ran the RAM, hardware scan both he could not find any error. Furthur consultation for the vaio Center care havnt done yet.

So if there are suggestions please post and I will appreciate it.

    Hello Vishwaschangamayum,

Thank you for believing in us giving the opportunity to help you.

I can understand the level of frustration through which you are going. As you mentioned in your post that the problem began in August. Thus, there could be a chance that the problem originated on the Windows Update, released by Microsoft in the same month, as many customers were faced with the same question.

These types of errors usually occur with a blue on the computer screen, when a serious problem causes Windows 8 to stop or restart unexpectedly. There are several reasons why this type of error occurs on the computer. They occur generally when there is some driver problems in the computer. However, it can be also a few other software/hardware reasons.

Please refer to the suggestion provided by rvuerinckx replied on August 15, 2014 in the following thread.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_update/blue-screen-Stop-0x50-after-applying-update/6da4d264-02d8-458e-89e2-a78fe68766fd

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

  • BSOD Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error, now after the upgrade to Windows 8.1, computer laptop keeps auto restart

Original title: Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error on Windows 8.

    Hello
A few days ago my laptop continued to restart on its own, turning to a blue screen with a message saying: "Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error". Given that this happened that the sound no longer works on my laptop, I tried to update my laptop to Windows 8.1 to see if that could help solve the problem, but when he started to install my laptop itself restarted each time.
Do you know what I can do to fix this?

Please get back to me on that.
    Thank you.

    Mitch

    It works

First thing.  I would update to win 8.1 when you have solved the problem

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.

I send you the HP Pavilion g6-2249wm Notebook PC product specifications, it will let you know what came with this computer. I also want you are trying to open HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of g6 because it is a PDF file. If you open then we know that you have installed Adobe and that something else is causing the problem. If you can't open it, then download and install Adobe Reader from my previous post and then try to run your audio discs.

I also send this document for recovery software (Windows 8) Options , which explains how to do the recovery.

I have my fingers crossed it works for you, keep me posted.
