• How to activate the touch screen HP Pavilion Touch Smart (10-e010nr)

  The list of features on the HP website says that this laptop has a touchscreen, but the first time that I booted up (new with box), it doesn't seem to work.  I have run Windows Update and installed all security and optional updates.  I also installed all video updates from the HP support page.  What can I do else?  It has touch screen or not?  It had pre-installed Windows 8.1.  Thank you!

  Last night I did the reset complete back to factory settings... erase all files and reinstall Windows 8.1.  It took several hours.  It did not touch screen feature.  I also tried pressing F2 at startup and running the diagnostics on all of the touch screen.  He failed and gave me an error code.  As the computer is still under warranty (I don't have possession for another week yet), I talked to HP technical support on live chat and gave him the error code.  He said he must be sent to HP for service.  Since I live on a military base that, he told me that I must call their number of military sales to the United States.  When I called them, they were closed.  I won't and I'll try to return it to the base exchange where I bought it.  Thanks for trying to help me solve this problem.  I guess that's just DOA.

• HP Pavilion Touch Smart 23: computer restarts randomly during games

  So I got this computer from little more than 3 years.  It's an all-in-one PC. Ive never had any problems until a month ago, whenever I play League of Legends, my PC will go to a black screen and initialize back without error message.  Only, this happened while I play this game. Also, sometimes it will freeze, with red lines through the screen and a buzz. This happens not all the games of League of Legends, I play, just about all of the other games or more.

  Ive already conducted tests of HARD drive. I have program where the temperature is controlled and is not overheating, the max I get is 80 c on the CPU.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I re-read your original post.  It seems that this problem is only on one game.  That tells me that it may need to have installed patches.  In addition, if you play online, you can consult with a Technical Support for the Web site that you use.  When it is only happening in one match it's normally fixes or parameters that are the problem.

  I understand that when you plug your power wall adapter, the light comes on, but when you plug it in to the HP ENVY 23 light not illuminate. I suspect that your power adapter is defective. I'd be happy to help you, but first of all, I encourage you to publish your product for your computer number. • Pavilion 15-b196sl Sleekbook: huge drop in fps in all games

  so my laptop has an integrated gpu, the intel HD 4000 and 630M geforce nvidia card which is the one i use the most when playing video games on my laptop. Suddenly a month ago I turned it on and it started making a noise from the fan and it doesn't stop for the weekend and the FPS has dropped in all my games for example GTA 5 of 40 fps at 10 / 20 fps tera 8 / League legends from 100 fps to 40... I knew it was because of the overheating, I noticed that.

  so I took it to the hp customer service and they have changed the fan when I came back the noise stopped they also gave me the old fan and I could see that it was indeed damaged but the problem of fps does not stop then I thought that it was a software problem, I erased all of the nvidia drivers and not reinstalled the latest version again no solution all this time I'd win 10 I did a factory reset my laptop which came to windows 8 I installed the drivers again and still the same problem.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP Pavilion 15-b196sl Sleekbook and problems with the fan works not properly. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. In this way he will focus on the hardware installed on the laptop and reset the default fan.

  I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

  1. Since when are you facing the issue?

  2. you have any anti-virus installed on the computer program?

  3 are you aware of any changes made to the computer before the show?

  I would say you runa full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and look for any infections.

  Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

  If the problem persists, you can start the computer in safe mode and perform a clean boot. Clean boot helps eliminate any conflict of third party software.

  Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

  My Pavilion TS 14 Sleekbook running Windows 8 made two updates today this restart required for both. I do not know what updates I updated important updates to autoload. When I tried to "flip" to enter my password to open my lock screen, the screen is nothing but show the waves of energy around my finger. Use the keyboard to open the password page. Tried to go back from the touchscreen keyboard, nothing. Standard keyboard used to type in password, then the touch screen works very well. Someone has an idea of what's going on?

  I have a pc hp pavilion touch laptop 14, which has been having a defective hard disk that the operating system was not start and the system test indicated that the hard drive contained errors.
  
  I replaced the hard drive with a new one and before installing the hard drive I formatted with a win installation 8.1. I thought the laptop would just start normally to win8, but gave me a screen saying:

  boot device not found please install an operating system on drive hard drive (3f0)

  The hard drive is new and I did not not how its gives me this error!

  In addition, this laptop does not seem to boot from a cd to format!

  I found out what was wrong! It was so simple!

  I just need to make the boot inherited from the bios, like that he started directly from the hard drive and does not need of any software pre installed HP to start.

  Here is a USB 3.0/2.0 to HDMI video adapter.  This may be an option that allows you to connect your 500 TS on your PS3.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer to make sure that it works before buy you.  There are a lot of other manufacturers that make this adapter if you do not like this one.
