Pavillion 500-056: memory

My office has four ram slots. Two blue and two back. Right now I have 8 GB of ram in the blue slot of Babu. I'll add another 8 GB of ram. Should I put it in the second blue slot? Not sure if I use the blue or black slot or is it important.

Hello:

It will likely issue.

Normally, you would place the second 8 GB memory chip in the second blue slot.

But if the computer emits a sound to you at startup, then move it to the first location of black.

Memory in my PC when I'm not all the slots filled with maximum memory, is that I put the second chip into the slot in the 3rd when I have a chip in the first place.

The slots of your PC are color coded, and I hope it is to help you decide which slot to the second bullet.

Looking at the schematic for your PC if you have memory in the first blue slot, I would put in the blue slot remaining.

  • Pavilion 500-056: accidentally disabled my speakers! sound/no

So here's the scoop. My computer (HP Pavilion 500-056) had been broken for a year now, and I finally fixed and reinstalled windows 10. Everything worked well and I was very happy until I realized that I had no sound coming out of my speakers. Through my process of DIY autour, check the cables and the entry and other output sockets, there seemed to be no problem. I went in the sound mixer, and there, I accidentally disabled my speakers, so they don't pop up on the list more! I have no idea how to turn them on now, and I still have no idea how fix my sound. If someone could help pronto, I would be very happy! Thank you!

    Hello

If they were just disabled, you can re-enable the as follows.

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".

In the next window, right-click on an empty area and enter a checkmark against "Show disabled devices".

If your speakers are now listed, right-click them, then select activate.

  • Update of power supply for HP Pavilion 500-056

I want to upgrade to a discrete graphics card, but the 300 watt PSU is not enough.  It is not one of the standard sizes such as ATX12V, EPS12V, SFX12V (small footprint), LFX12V (low profile form factor), or TFX12V (slim form factor).

Does anyone know of a specific diet that can fit in my computer case?  Without my ability to be upgraded will be severely compromised.

According to the specs of HP Pavilion 500-056 desktop PC product page, your computer uses a power SUPPLY ATX12V PSU which is 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) in size. Please consider replacing it with a Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, or CX600M depending on your graphics card needs.

  • Compaq 500 b memory and CPU compatibility problem

I have a Compaq 500 b MT, that came from the factory with 1 GB of RAM and a processor Intel Celeron E3200 CPU.  I upgraded my memory to two sticks of 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1600 RAM, which worked perfectly for a while.  I then upgraded my CPU to an Intel Pentium E6500 CPU processor (supported), and when the start he gave me a code beep RAM (1 short, 1 long, 3 second pause) error.  I bought 2 sticks of memory PNY thinking I have fried my other sticks.  Same beep code.

To make a long story short, I tried all possible combinations of the two processors and the three types of memory. The only time wherever I could get the Pentium E6500 to start was with the factory installed 1 GB memory.  It would give errors of memory with any of the other 2 GB sticks, even when considered individually.  Celeron CPU works very well with them.

Is there something that I need in order to get the E6500 working with sticks of 2 GB of RAM?

When you updated the modules of memory did you some they are guaranteed compatible? This isn't an amateur PC equipped of a BIOS level that allows for flexibility in the choice of primary and secondary memory sync settings and take. This means that it is essential that one chooses to upgrade memory that meets the criteria specified in the image below. Otherwise, the way the easiest way to upgrade is to buy only compatible memory guaranteed of leading manufacturers of memory.

When I search for Compaq 500 b MT I come with a desktop PC. Is this correct? You posted in the notebook section, perhaps by mistake. If you will check, I can move this correct place.

    Kind regards

  • Pavillion 500-214: I have a HP Pavilion 500-214 and need to upgrade the power supply to support a new video card

I'm upgrading my video card, and the other needs at least 400w.  The existing PSU is only 300w.  What is a power supply compatible to be installed in the Pavilion 500-214?

    Well, we meet again.

While the minimum requirement is power for most video cards 400W, I always offer at least 500W; 600W is even better.  This will allow a high maximum operating power.  A modular power supply is good in a medium-sized business, because just use cables that are absolutely necessary.  This allows for better circulation of air in the case.

This is a power supply that should work for you.  You should check the measurements of the existing PSU (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) with the measures of the new power supply to ensure that it will not go in the space provided.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer, this is not the place to save money.

  • Pavillion 500-326na: Office purchased without warranty has already expired

    Hi all

I bought your desktop HP Pavilion 500-326na six months ago and recently received a notice telling me that the warranty on my pc had expired the year before I bought it. When I bought the pc, it was said that the product carries a one year manufacturer warranty. What are the options that are available to me?

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Contact HP for the country where you live.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-contact-us.html

The customer service representative should send you an email with a link to download a copy of your receipt of sale/invoice showing the date of purchase of your PC and they will adjust the period of guarantee accordingly.

I had to do the same in February when I bought my new HP laptop.  The guarantee applies for one year, but it showed that expires this month instead of next February.

I think it took them a few days to make corrections.

  • Pavillion 500-424: card without wireless/Wi-Fi number!

    Hello!
So I upgrade my PC Windows 10 and then realized that I couldn't connect to the internet. So I downgraded to 8.1, and I couldn't always connect to the internet. I ran Recovery Manager and installed the Realtek WLAN drivers. It is installed, and the system has rebooted and the list of programs and features said it was installed, but I still couldn't connect to the internet. I then tried to install the Broadcom 802.11ac / n Wireless LAN Driver by ( http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-500-400-desktop-pc-series/7161732/model/... ) that this is what it says for my model and the OS, but when trying to install, it extracted the files very well, but when he said "Installation Wizard settled...". ' (or something similar), the loading bar to load and then the loading bar window just closes.

While they inspected the Device Manager, the wireless card is not at all, just the PCIe controller or something, for ethernet.

How can I solve this problem? Thank you in advance!

    Yes, I do.

I wouldn't bother replacing the card.

Just get an external usb wireless adapter.

I use it on my HP desktop PC and it works fine.

In addition, if you have a double router broadband, it will pick up the 5.0 GHz band.

  • Pavillion 500 - 205t: reloading MS Office without a key

Background: I bought a laptop HP dv9500t HP EPP website in 2007. I've added MS Office Home & Student 2007 to order, so it came pre-installed with the laptop. To the best of my recollection, no CD was provided, in any case I don't have one, or a key for the pre installed MS Office.  This laptop has failed recently, so I bought this new desktop Pavilion 500 PC - 205t. It has Windows 7 pro 64-bit. The laptop has Windows 7 Home.  I am at a loss as to how I do MS Office Home & Student 2007 on my new desktop PC. The software is downloadable from MS, but without key, it won't install or work. Is maintained with technical support from HP, they said call MS. Called MS tech support and they directed me to call the tech support of HP, is not their problem as it was a load of OEM software. Called HP sales the site EPP and they connect back to the HP technical support. Rinse and repeat.

This forum is a last hope for resolution or advice.  I have read many questions & answers here as well as the knowledge is just phenomenal.  Is my MS Office purchase now gone forever? If it's true someone just told me that if I can move Google doc or other office products. I don't have the physical laptop more but I have HDD it is intact and have connected it via USB.  I have also the portable original packing list which lists MS Office as RK250AV #ABA and I also original order number. I also have a certificate of authenticity supplied with the documentation of the laptop, but I din't know what they were wearing.  It has a product ID of 29201-OEM-0002561-22704.  I also ran BeLarc Advisor, but it seems that on the drive system for the 500 - 205t and not the portable joint HARD drive.

Any advice on the place where start settling my quest for my office software recharge would be appreciated!

    Ted

Sorry, I think that the OEM versions can be transferred to another computer.

  • Pavillion 500 - c60: two different monitors as multiple monitors

Is it possible to run a two-screen display using two completely different monitors? I'm replacing an antique desk with a 500 - c60 (Win 8.1) Pavilion and also buy a W2371d monitor for the new machine. The old PC use a perfectly good 17 inches Samsung screen, but the former.

What will happen if I tried to include my old monitor in my new configuration? If I was able to use two monitors, I would of course make the new HP the primary one. Yet, it would be useful to me if I could have the additional area of the former monitor display. However, the screens are not only of different manufacturers - they are of different vintages, different sizes, different standard resolutions. It is even possible to do?

    Hello

Yes, you can use TWO different monitors as indicated:
